To fix your cracked screen, I paid about $140 and it took about 30-45 minutes to fix. After I got it fixed, about two weeks in, I put my phone into another phone case and the corner cracked. I was NOT happy. I went back the next day and explained about the situation and the guy that was working at the time, named Q, said I would have to pay $60 which made me even more upset. Although he understands the situation and wants a customer happy...therefore, I ended up not having to pay anything which gave me a better experience. A day later, there was some interface function which I had to go back. Q fixed it ASAP and it worked again. He told me he doesn't want to see me again haha!! Sai handled my busted iphone charge port issue as best as he could, but couldn't resolve the problem. So why 5 stars? He handled my case very professionally and with courtesy. He respected my work schedule and tried all possible remedies. In the end, he didn't charge me but I left him a $10 tip. On another note, I see people have received the same treatment, so that's a testament of his professionalism. But if you think you got something free, his time spent is valuable. I got two of my iPhone fixed from them one was an iPhone 4S and another one was an iPhone 5. Peter was very courteous and helpful with the repairs, both of the repairs were done within 45 minutes, I was so happy with the outcome that I tipped him $20. But then I started noticing the yellowish tint on my iPhone 4S, it is not a perfect white. Not noticeable unless I went into a app with all white background like the Calendar App. Not a biggie, if you can live with it. I decided it is no big deal and got accustomed to it. But then my iPhone 5 started developing the white border display problem, my display started to bleed on the edges. I cannot live with it. So I decided to call and get both of the iPhone fixed as they offer 1 year guarantee. I was told that the display will not be covered on the iPhone 5 as it is not a Glass problem and that I may have dropped it. Really, common guys, if I dropped it you would see some damage to the iPhone. Instead of asking me to come to the store he straight away denied any help. I decided not to talk about my 4S. I then went to Apple store to see what are my options, I can live with the broken glass, but cannot live with a broken display. I only wanted to get my iPhone 5 fixed, I am ok with living with the 4S yellow problem. Apple took a look at the phone and they said someone the Genius bar will do a diagnostics and tell me the outcome. After waiting for an hour at Apple store they told me that the iPhone has been opened and the Display assembly is not good and would not be covered under guarantee. Since the iPhone was opened they said they will charge me full price of the new Phone. OMG. I am now looking for some other repair shop and see how can I get it fixed. Both me and my friend had our screens repaired here. Shortly after the glass was repaired, we both noticed static lines on our phone and weird image screen issues (one of the issues is kind of like Alexandre S.'s image but not exactly). Mine started about three weeks after and hers started about a week after. I googled a description of what I was seeing and the online community said many things but quite a few of the comments I read said it was attributed to their screen replacements -- that they either did themselves or had done. Considering me and my friend didn't have these screen issues before, I'm incline to think it was the repair done here. Either way, it did have to do with the new screen installed. My friend's problem was more severe and she couldn't even touch a good part of her screen. When she had her screen replaced again, it was fine. They don't seem to guarantee their work here either and that's really the reason for the 1 star. If it doesn't work, then you're kind of out almost $100. Considering it happened to the two of us, I definitely would not recommend. read more

After cracking my iPhone 5c screen, I went to DE repair as they had the cheapest price for repair if iphone screens. They quoted me at a price of $180, but when I told them the apple store would replace it for $150, they said other customers told them it was in the $200 range. They should be better up to date on what apple is pricing as there are a ton of articles on line announcing the updated price of screen repair at the apple store. They lost myself and the woman in front of me as a customer. I made my appt at the Apple store around the corner, which costs $149 plus tax and offers same day repair under warranty. There is no point in going to these 3rd party shops if their pricing isn't competitive. read more

I want to support small business, hate trudging to Apple for stuff and these guys were close to my office, but after this experience it's clear I should have trudged to Apple. The material or work here was shoddy and today the guy hung up on me when I called to complain and seek repair. The screen was replaced in January and within a few weeks it did some weird coloration thing where blues looked grey and the whole screen would fade and look washed out. It came and went and sometimes would go away for weeks so I learned to live with the frustration as I'm not constantly on the phone anyway. But this spoke to either cheap material used or poor workmanship - or both. Then, a tiny hairline crack developed. No trauma or dropping, and only 5 months from them replacing it. I called to discuss and he refused to even let me come in and show him, claiming this was "not covered." I pointed out that it says that nowhere in the receipt they gave me and that when I was there when he replaced it just 5 months earlier they said come back if anything goes wrong. I also discussed the color washout issue but he would not listen. I asked his name given this customer "service" he was providing and he graciously hung up on me. read more

Cracked screen needed fixing! I had heard of this place, so I called to see if they had availability (at 3:45p on a Monday) and what the cost would be. "30 - 40 minutes, $69 for iPhone 4 screen." Fantastic. I told them I'd be over in a few minutes. Walked over, dropped it off, asked again how long it would take: "30 - 45 minutes." I told them great, I was on my lunch break - that would be just enough time. I arrived back 55 minutes after I had dropped it off, assuming it would be ready for pick-up. I was greeted with a cheery "It's almost ready, just a few minutes!" Ok, no prob, I could spare a few minutes. I take a seat in the chair. Ten minutes slips by before I ask how much longer, sharing that I'm now late. "Just a few more minutes!" Noticing another customer filling out a form at the desk before paying, I ask if there's anything I should fill out while I wait. I'm told no. Another 10 minutes later, I ask again - "Almost!" This is now 35 minutes longer than the amount of time they told me it would take. Finally, my phone is ready. I stand to pay, and am asked to fill out a form. I had JUST ASKED if I needed to do this - it would have saved time. HORRIBLE. Please respect your customers' times and be honest - if you're running 35 minutes behind, let them know so they can make other arrangements! read more

Nice people, and really fast service. However, the replacement screen is quite shitty. I had them replace my screen two weeks ago. On the second day, I started seeing "burnt" image on the screen, like an old LCD computer screen that we leave too long on the same static picture. This place is great find in the FiDi. The guy who works here is extremely nice and friendly! He's full of positive energy and knowledge. He fixed my cracked screen and the lcd for $123. I got the $10 for $20 deal, so I paid $113 out the door. Not too bad as Apple charges $109 (other places in FiDi were up to $140!) and I needed to get my iPhone 6 fixed ASAP. One star extra for the folks who work here, you guys are nice. The business itself? Not so great. I came awhile back to get my iPhone 5s screen repaired--the time around was a bit longer since they had to wait on the supply..no problem. When I got my phone, the cost was almost 100$ to fix and the screen looked fine but what really made me unhappy was the clear depth between the screen and button meaning the part they had was thicker than the original -- which wouldn't be so bad but everytime I tried to use my fingerprint to scan it didn't work as seamless -- plus if the glass is thicker it means it's cheaper (optometrists would know what I'm talking about) so why am I paying near Apple prices for this?? Had I known, I would have repaired it at Apple for the additional 10-20 bucks. Like I did today with my 6. Luckily since I was just two seconds out the door they were able to refund me and give me my cracked screen back. If your phone isn't hecka old, go to apple instead, really not much difference in price but I can guarantee you there's a diff in quality. read more

Beware! Avoid this business! I came here for a very routine iPhone cracked screen fix. After repair the touch feature didn't work and my iPhone was useless. I called and emailed the store but got no response. All I wanted was either a refund or for them to actually fix my iPhone. Finally after pushing 3 unanswered emails through and threatened legal action I finally got an email from Gary. Gary told me that if I would go get the screen fixed and send him the receipt and send him back the old screen (which he had originally put on my phone) he would transfer me my refund. I did just as he asked in a very timely fashion too. He was quite rude and questioned the details of the receipt, which I don't understand why. After 2 additional "reminder to pay me emails" Gary said he was in China but could pay me on the 16th or 17th of June. I still got not payment or reply by the 20th so I wrote him an additional email which I still have got no reply. These are bad businessman! Crooks. Liars. They do not keep to their word. I asked them to open it up and look into the connections, they said No, it's broken, it's gonna cost you $150. I took my phone to DE iphone repair. Jackie looked at it, took it apart found a loose connection and he even cleaned my front camera cause it was dirty from the previous owner of my iphone5 had taken it apart. My iphone 5 jumped out of my purse on it's own and immediately the screen cracked. It looked awful, like dropping a mirror and getting seven years bad luck. I wasn't going to buy a new one, apparently I didn't have insurance when I thought I did, and I wasn't eligible to upgrade. I wasn't going to just suffer through it because I kept getting little glass splinters in my fingers when I tried to use it still. Ouch! I searched iphone repair on Yelp and this place had really good reviews and also was the closest to me. I just walked over to their office (it is in an office building on the 5th floor next to FedEx) around 11 without calling first and the girl working said it would be done in about an hour. It would have been 30 minutes but she had another phone ahead of me - no biggie. It was indeed done in an hour and for a relative bargain for $100. Looks and works like new. So happy I came! Although none of that worked, he didn't charge me anything and gave me great advice about how I might use the Apple store to troubleshoot. He said if I wanted he would stay (I came in right at about 5:50 after the gym, they close at 6) to replace my screen. I thanked him and I would rather wait til he gets in the black screens. I wrote my number down and the next day he called me back to let me know the black ones came in. Brought it in for lunch, got it back after work and the work done on it was awesome. Quick and easy. Like an idiot, I cracked my screen case while doing weights at the gym. It completely shattered my screen, as well as took out the entire screen display (it remained entirely black). After a small panic attack at the gym, I went home and looked up repair shops near my work and found DE iPhone Repair. I went right at 10 but unfortunately, they weren't open yet. I went back about 45 minutes later and was pleasantly greeted and my phone was quickly assessed. I was told it would take about 30 minutes. I came back after lunch and lo and behold, I found my phone in mint condition. All the breaks, scratches, and screen were fixed and my phone looked brand new! They even took time to clean my camera and phone of all the little pieces of dirt! They recommended this glass cover to go on top of the phone screen, and showed me a video of how much damage this glass cover could take. They said if I dropped my phone again, only the glass cover would be damaged, and it was much cheaper to replace that than an entire screen ($20 instead of $99). So I bought the glass cover to better protect my phone. My total was $119 for the cover and screen repair and received excellent service. They also gave me free stickers to go on my home button! Super cute!! If I'm ever idiotic enough to damage my phone again, I'll definitely bring my phone back here again! THANKS! :) read more

I dropped my phone (again). Cracked screen and completely inoperable. AT&T wanted $ 646.00 for a new phone. Yeah right. Or . . . . . . consistent with their philosophy of making their customers indentured servants for years . . . they said they could "lease" me a phone and I could get a new phone right away. Why would I pay $ 384.00 a year to rent a phone? Who leases a phone anyway? Get real AT&T. Other repair quotes: $ 150 and up. As George Bush (42) would say "Not . . . . gonna . . . . do . . . . it." These guys fixed my phone in 30 minutes for $ 89.00, and that included a one year warranty on the screen. Awesome service. Don't go anywhere else. read more

Amazing service, incredible price. My iPad 2 jumped from my hands onto the pavement and instant crack-o-rama. I checked Google and Yelp and found this place close to work. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and validated that the price I saw online was the one I would pay. He promised the work in two days and it was ready as promised. Paying up front was a little strange, but understandable I suppose. It would have been nice to have gotten a call that the case was so bent that the glass would not seat properly in the case. I was provided a work-around for that which involved using a hard case to hold the glass in. This also helps me to not cut myself on the scratched case, so I was OK with it. Others may have preferred a reason to buy a new iPad! read more

I called him at 2pm and asked him if he could take care of my phone. He was in my office 30 minutes later to pick it up, and had it back to me before I left at the end of the day, all for $69. After calling Verizon and running through all the options (all unacceptable) I searched for screen local screen repair options. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS. Q the Owner and Gary the Tech failed me TWICE in two days. Gary the Tech was a no-show BOTH days. Why did I give them a second chance after they failed me the first time, you ask? Answer: because Q BEGGED me for a second chance, and I believe in giving people second chances. Story: cracked glass on phone, called this business. Q answered and told me they could pick up my cracked iPhone 7Plus, bring it to their shop on Nob Hill to fix it, then return it to me all for $120! Sounded like a great deal so I accepted. Q specifically gave me an 11:30am same-day pick up time, with a same-day return time of 4:15pm, both by Gary. 11:30am came and went without a call or text. By 1:30 I was calling back only to be told by Q that Gary was tied up and was not on the way, and can we please, please, please try again tomorrow (which is today.) I hesitantly agreed. At 8:15am this morning, I got a text from Q saying today is a go, and that Gary would be confirming pick up time. Gary confirmed he would pick up "around 10am." I thought, "Great! They really are trying to make up for yesterday's debacle." As of 10:35am, Gary is AGAIN a no-show! He didn't even text me to let me know he is running late! When I texted him to ask him if he was on the way, he replied "Yes, but I have pick ups along the way" REALLY?!?! After I was forgotten yesterday, you would think that today I would be given top priority in order to rectify their mistake, right? Not if you are Q or Gary! I guess they hate money. My lock/power button on my iphone broke. No bueno! I took my phone into Apple, who basically told me I could pay $199 for a replacement (they don't even repair this issue), or that I was SOL. Not trusting Apple, I headed to yelp. I found tons of iphone repair shops with good reviews, but no one within walking distance from work. I really hate a broken phone, but I hate driving in SF even more. I had seen DE Repair in my yelp searches, but somehow failed to notice their downtown location. After scheduling with someone else, out of the way, I gave yelp a quick once over and noticed that DE had a second location a few blocks from work. I am so glad I did. The repair guy quoted me $70, which included a 6 month warranty, and had my phone in like-new working order when I came back a few hours later to pick it up. I'm so glad I looked around for the best price I could get to fix my iPhone 4s cracked screen. Though there are a couple stores around the same area with the same price, DE iPhone Repair is probably the best option. I paid $74 ($79 - $5 for Yelp check-in offer) for my iPhone's screen to be fixed and it was done within a half hour. The guy who fixed it was very friendly and efficient. He performed great service. My phone is restored and although I could have saved this money had I not been so clumsy, it's a very good price compared to the majority of other places. Average price I got quoted from other places was $100 & up. I know the Apple store fixes it for $149, and AT&T for $199, but even a lot of the other repair shops were around $100. So $74 is a good deal. Hopefully I won't have to come back here for another cracked screen, but I definitely would recommend this place if you do need to repair your screen! $74, all inclusive - no tax or service fees added.
