My family had a great time here and will be coming back. I was about to pay for all of us individually for two games and the staff mentioned the special- like $10 per person to bowl as much as you can within three hours-- you can't beat that! We left before 3 hrs were up, but we got in 3 games, so definitely worth it. We also got food while there. I got a Philly with tots, the kids got burgers with fries. I'ma straight up tell you...this place is a bit skeezy feeling. But they seem to have a loyal, active, and SERIOUS customer base. So they must be doing something right. Ken Bowl gives you an old school, independently-owned bowling type of place feel. It just looks like it is gonna be sticky and smell like cigarettes, no matter how clean it actually is or when the last indoor cig was smoked. But that is a type of charm, isn't it? And also the exterior is so mid-century modern cool... Anyway, we got some concession food while we waited for our final friend to arrive. The food is not gourmet, but it is also not expensive. It gets the job done, fully cooked and decent enough. We got a couple hours on a lane paid for, our shoes acquired and got our bowl on. It took a while for my weak-armed self to find an appropriate ball to use, and they tend to favor very heavy ones here. But I eventually found a room with all lighter balls that I could maneuver. The bar area has a window for ordering from the bowling alley side, without having to go in to the bar itself (where there was live music for a bit and later it sounded like karaoke going on). The beer and booze is very affordable. Can't complain there. And a pretty decent selection. There was serious league play going on when we first got there, then later a LOT of teens and younger folks. I felt both out of place because I was so bad at the game as well as feeling ancient around the youths ha ha! I'm not sure I would come back on my own, as there are other spots more convenient to me. But if I was hanging out with folks or had plans with someone else, and they wanted to come here, I wouldn't protest. I would go and have a good time. read more

This is probably the cleanest bowling alley I've ever been to. I like to take by kids here to bowl not only because it's clean but because during the daytime they're never super busy and the people who work here are always very friendly. They have the fun dinosaur ramps for kids to use which is very helpful for littles who can't quite roll the ball one handed yet. They also have the bumpers that most places do for kids also so the combination of those and the ramps makes for a lot less frustration for my kids who get easily discouraged when things aren't going their way. The food in the snack bar is pretty decent, nothing fancy but average greasy bowling alley fare, pizza, burgers, fries etc. I already mentioned how clean this place is but I have to mention the bathrooms specifically because they look to be recently renovated and they're always very clean and well taken care of which is great because I always feel like my kids manage to touch everything in public bathrooms and while I of course make them wash their hands it's nice if everything doesn't look horribly disgusting. Also if you're looking for a deal Ken Bowl participates in the kids bowl free program over the summer so the kids can bowl two games each for just the price of the show rental. This place may look a little rundown from the outside but inside it's definitely very well cared for. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. I went with a group of non-native English speakers and all of the staff that we encountered was super patient, friendly and culturally competent. They gave us a deal since we were a large group that allowed us to bowl two games and rent shoes for $5 a person. The bowling alley itself was clean and nice. Everyone had a good time and when our screen glitched, the staff came over and fixed it right away. I ate as did several of my friends and we saw nothing disgusting there (as prior posters did). Bowling itself wasn't horrible definitely far from the best. I got the feeling they were very racist and sexist. My boyfriend wasn't allowed to use a 8 pound ball because he was "too big" but his friend got nothing said to him at all about using the SAME ball . We were watched the entire time we were there by 3 different people. the workers were also by far from being friendly and nice to us . Don't worry if you aren't a great bowler, because no-tap means that 9 pins=a strike, col hugh?! Depending on the number of entries, the winners of the night will walk away with cash prizes, however even if you aren't the winner of the night, you will win because you will have had several hours of unique entertainment. Also, on the 3rd Sat of the month, there is a bonus of colored headpins. Depending on the combination of colors a natural strike will result in $$. Arrived at the bowling alley around 9:30pm, paid for 2 games with 6 player's, when the clock hit 11pm they announced they were closed and turned off all the lane's including our's, I went up and complained until the woman finally let us finish our 2 frames of the game out that we had paid for, The staff was very rude and loudly talked about us as we finished our game up, We won't be returning here play, very poorly ran and horrible customer appreciation. read more

I was not impressed with Ken Bowl at all, it was very runned down, the bowling balls were extremely greasy so your fingers would slip when trying to bowl. The pins would get stuck every time you throw a ball down. My friends and I got tired of waiting for them to fix the pins and set it up again, even though we paid for 2 games we only had the patience for 1 game. Let me preface this by saying that I know this is a bowling alley snack bar and one should not expect much. However, in this case I don't feel as if my judgment is overly harsh. As i was standing in line to order, I saw the counter worker pulling hairs out of a plate of cheese. That wasn't a big deal, but I was disgusted when she then served the same plate of "hair cheese" to an unsuspecting customer alongside his chili. Now I could be wrong and maybe this customer ordered his cheese with a side of hair, but I doubt it. Needless to say, I aborted my attempt to order food and walked out. Note to the snack bar... This place is pretty horrible. Clearly out dated, music never works and the lady at the counter says "I don't know, the music doesn't have anything to do with us". It smells horrible in there, and they turned our game off mid game. I have been here a handful of times and was most recently bowling at Ken Bowl for a Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising event. They had everything set up for us, even put our names in the computers.
