So we just went on an evening with an open skate. It was inexpensive, it was a ton of fun, and there were hordes of children and young people. Of course. But again, we had attempted to organize a private party but management was unreachable. So we were a little cranky but dealt with it. Surprisingly busy, but it didn't feel crazy crowded. I'd go back, especially if a private event or some adult-only nights made it to be a thing!

I had brought my own skates though, and even owning skates I kind of wish I had rented since the quality of the ice is pretty poor. I had asked if they ever Zamboni the rink, as I couldn't tell where the Zamboni would come in, and the ice was very chewed up. I was told yes, so maybe the Zamboni came out right after we left. The facilities are also pretty old, with some maintenance very evidently needed. My main qualm was the quality of the ice. If you're new to skating and want to give it a try, this is a great entry-level place at a good rate.

As they entered, their names were marked off a written piece of paper. We were allowed 14 children. As parties turn out, only 5 of those children named showed up. Even though we weren't at the 14 kid (paid for limit) you had to pay for other children that came and names were not on the "list". This was unexpected and not explained at time of booking. When questioned about this, the manager became aggressive, completely rude and unprofessional. I wrote a negative review on his site and he responded in a rude and trashy manner. His business etiquette is terrible. Customer service in nonexistent. Even if the original problem was explained as their policy, it would have been disappointing but exceptable. What I will not tolerate from a paying customer standpoint, is being treated poorly from management. Part of owning a business is dealing with people and talking through differences. The facility itself was run down. The games did not work. The bubblegum machines took your money. The one machine that produced a product, was a bubble with nothing inside. As simple as it is, it was upsetting for a two year old. The lockers took my money twice without working. The pizza was expensive and subpar.

If you are hanging out with friends, it can be a bit hard to hear each other speaking when on the rink.

They had regular roller skates, inline skates, and special ones that were adjustable for kiddos to put over their shoes. They stress safety and there is plenty of fun to be had.
