Top Notch!! Ken Neyer Plumbing provided the best customer service I have ever received! From the moment we contacted Neyer Plumbing, to the time of completion, everyone we worked with was above and beyond expectations. On 10 February we noticed a leak in our basement that we thought was a foundation breach around the main water line. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the main water feed line coming into the house had a crack in it. At that point, we turned off the water supply and spoke with Lisa at the main desk. Lisa was wonderful and compassionate. She had Logan at our house 2-3 hours later to do a field evaluation. Logan worked with Jeremy in the office to get a recovery plan started, and a team to our location the next morning. On 11 February a team of professionals arrived. They took the time to ensure they understood the entirety of the situation on that ground, and, that we understood the plan for repairs. John, Michael and Mark spent 5 hours working and keeping us up to date on their progress. Upon completion they showed us the results of their work and ensured we were happy, which we are. However, that is when they continued to support our situation to help locate a separate water leak on the property. This took them another hour to help locate and isolate the issue (they are working up an estimate at this time to recover that issue in the future). Courteous and professional the whole way through! Not only did they sweep the dirt off the walkway, but they also cleaned up our make-shift efforts to contain the leak in the basement after they were finished. Used this company several times for plumbing issues in our basement.- all of the plumbing was fixed but quotes were extremely high. Our fault for not looking for other estimates . Recently had them give us an estimate on some outside plumbing issues and my mother was there to question the expense and the guy that was out was a smart a$$ to her. Way over priced!!! Found another company to do the work that has a great reputation and even took the time to explain the quote. They will not be getting any if my money for any plumbing nor I would not recommend. read more

This week I call Ken Neyer Plumbing for the first time, and I'm glad I did. The positive experience started with the phone call -- the woman who answered the phone gave me the best customer service I've had all decade. She went above and beyond to be friendly and welcoming, with a warm voice, limitless patience, and polite questions. She was able to schedule me quickly -- I asked for 2 days from the call date, because I had planned to take that day off work. They were wide open that day , so I chose the first slot, because that was only a 1-hour span to wait in (8am to 9am -- the others were 4-hour waits, as most plumbing companies do). I received multiple texts confirming the appointment, and Doug, the service person, arrived well within the window. He put on footies before entering the house (to me, the ultimate sign of a professional service technician), and asked me the problem. He then, with my permission, did an inspection of the house -- testing the water for hardness, and the home's water pressure. He did recommend some work beyond the reason I called him there (like a water softener) -- but there was no real sales pressure. In fact, when I asked direct questions about my presenting problem, he was quick to tell me the work he wouldn't recommend that I do, as it wouldn't be cost-effective (yes, I always looks for that to see if the service pro can be trusted). He accurately diagnosed my problem -- 3 parts that needed replacing (which I pretty much suspected), and did the work effectively, i.e. fixed the constantly running water from inside my toilet and replaced the broken toilet handle. He was patient in answering all my questions in a knowledgeable and thorough way. As for the price, I'm not certain if it was low or high, as I have no other recent service from another company to compare it to. I do like that they bill you by the job, not the hour (charging a $35.00 fee to examine the problem and apply that towards the work done) and get your permission in writing before performing any work. All in all, I was very pleased and believe that today I found a regular plumbing service I can count on in the future. read more

This company is a scam never, ever use them. I tried them for a business, and they replaced a water valve that was totally fine cost to me over $900. Instead of just replacing the fittings that cost only $ 20.00. The installer said the valve was bad and his boss said the valve was bad. Then after testing the valve and finding out the valve was fine. They said, they did not have the plumbing fittings for the valve even though they are a plumber. So they replaced the whole valve. read more

I used this company in 2021. They got the job done. BUT, I now remember seeing their van up around the corner parked. When it was the end of my quoted time window for their arrival, I called and inquired about their van around the corner, and asked if that was our technician. Bam, within 5 min. The guy shows up. Got the job done quickly. And left. Fast forward to today. Same issue, minor backup in the sewer drain. I called last Friday and she said Monday between 10 and noon. Perfect. Ok. Well, 12:00 comes around and no plumber and no call. I call and I'm told they couldn't get ahold of the guy. While I'm on the phone with the office, she says they just got back to them, and they're 30 min out. After 2 unanswered calls back to the office, and 50 min. I called another company who said they'd be here within the hour. That is my experience. I'll give 1 stars for the actual efficiency once they arrived the 1st time. And, They were friendly at least. read more

Review is for property in Cincinnati) They were supposed to replace downspout drain line that connects to sanitary sewer in 110y/o house, replace the trap and install cleanout. Even though Wayne and I discussed the cleanout and there was a duct tape X where it was supposed to go, he neglected to install a cleanout and neglected to tell me (or, apparently, the office) that it wasn't installed. I only noticed because I saw no cleanout access. They also neglected to mound dirt over the excavation site as stated on their website and which is standard practice. When I mentioned this the office said they "compacted the dirt" with their equipment. Anyone who's had trench work done knows it compresses over time. After the work was performed I still noticed water in an excavated spot in the basement. I called them back to scope the line to make sure everything was connected properly. August returned to scope (which, I was later told was standard procedure but which Wayne also neglected to do) I discovered no trap was installed - a violation of code since it ties into the sanitary sewer. Had I not called for the scope, this would not have been discovered. When I mentioned to the office they said "Wayne forgot." When Wayne came back to address the issue he said he didn't put one in because he didn't think it was necessary. At that I sent him home. Upon further discussion with the office I was told the trap originally planned to be installed didn't meet code. The agreed-upon solution was to install a trap and cleanout outside the foundation (so, digging a trench a 2nd time). When I asked for an updated invoice with a correct list of items performed and to be performed Austin told me he'd send it by the end of the week. After not receiving it by the following Wednesday I emailed a reminder and was told it would be sent after the work was done. At that point I said we're done. They: specified a non-compliant trap, failed to install any trap, failed to install the specified cleanout, failed to notify me of two important omissions, changed their mind about sending a corrected invoice prior to performing agreed-upon corrections. Unless you have x-ray vision to ensure underground work was actually done, and unless *you* know plumbing code to make sure what they plan is code compliant I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I was told by a family member who worked there 12 years ago to never go there. I figured 12 years later, why not. So I called and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. I missed a day of work for this, no problem. I missed a second day of work for the job to be done only to have them not show up. Someone finally text me at 2:30 and gave me the reason and offered to come back the next day at a whopping 10% off. At this point I've lost close to what I was going to spend on the job so bailed on the whole thing. The main thing here is that I should have been called the day before and all would be fine. The fact that I sat at home all day waiting is a total disrespect of my time. And then to act like it was no big deal for me to just take another day off. I understand things happen but it's still a business and this is a complete fail. Never again read more

I called Meyer plumbing for a clogged sink. Rusty Goins and a young man in training were there the next day. I was given a time between 8-9. Both were there within a half hour of the time. Both were very polite. Rusty was very thorough and detailed explaining the whole process to the trainee. I was very impressed. The drain is unclogged! Thank you Rusty! I had 2 other companies come out and spend 3-4 hours EACH on an active blockage that charged FAR more than Ken Neyer Plumbing did, and FAILED to clear the blockage. I had asked them to come out to get an estimate on what I thought would be a far bigger job a week or so out before I could use my own facilities. They cleared my pipes within a half hour, AND got the information needed for the quote for the bigger service. Absolutely amazing guys, I was almost crying tears of joy. 59 DOLLARS FOR A QUOTE. The drain lines in the yard were backing up at the down spout, I explain to Russ. I called the company a couples of days earlier to get a quote. Russ drives up in a service truck. He tells me $200 an hour to scope the lines with a 2 hour minimum. Wow!! Then tells me later that includes trying to snake it clean, but that not sure that will take care of the problem. He suggested I have a dig party. Four shovel and a wheel barrel that could be a weekend project. Not thrilled at any of his suggestions, He tells me that is $59 for a service call! I guess I should have question it more but at that point I paid him and sent him on his way. The only tool he took from his truck was a pad to get to money. read more

Sadly will not use again. I used them once for a quote for a big job and got a fair opinion on the Job, but we ended up not doing the project. I referred them to my family & friends. They've both used them, never really gave me much feedback on it. I finally needed them for a clogged drain. You can imagine my horror at paying $220 for a simple clog that only needed the small tool they used for less than two minutes. Just had my water line replaced thursday from a 1997 home build with the well known and class action litigated defective blue max piping. Doug scheduled the service with ease. Chris and Kevin came to my home today and alleviated all of my worries. The trenchless drilling conducted today to replace my water line was done professionally and with great care as I observed the whole operation. Will was at my parents house for 4 hrs and charged them $885 and left a mess in the basement for them to cleanup! The bad news, sewage line broken. This is going to be expensive! Five plumbing contractors visited and bid the job. One tried to freak me out telling me I had a sink hole forming under my porch. I send Doug Campbell a video of the pipe, and a few photos of the basement and yard. He proposed the pipe bursting technique to save me from tearing out my porch and sidewalk, and provided the lowest bid. Austin, Chris and Kevin came out and knocked out the work in a couple of hours. I was very happy with the service and professionalism of Neyer Plumbing. On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, I noticed that my basement carpeting was saturated with water. I realized then that my hot water heater was leaking. I called Neyer and Mark Gosser responded. He shut everything down for me and informed me that he could install a new water heater then or I could wait until Tuesday so he could get one from a plumbing supply store. He was very honest about the difference in quality of the unit I would have gotten on Sunday (plus the additional cost of having it installed on a holiday weekend) versus the one he could install on Tuesday. Obviously, I waited to get one on Tuesday. He arrived promptly and installed the new water heater. I greatly appreciated his honesty and professionalism throughout this process.
