These people lost my shoes and tried blaming me. Way over priced and I was only able to wear the shoes once before they broke again.

Avoid Kendall Shoe Repair if you value your belongings. I left my black Gucci crossbody bag at Kendall Shoe Repair for a simple cleaning. I dropped it off the week after Christmas and was told it would be ready January 24. When I went to pick it up in early February, the owner seemed confused and asked me to describe the bag. After disappearing in the back for 15 minutes, he admitted he hadn't even started it and asked for three more weeks. Three weeks later I returned and the exact same thing happened -- again asking me to describe the bag and asking for more time. On my third attempt, he asked me to describe the bag yet again and tried to delay it another week. At that point I demanded my bag back. When I returned on March 12, the owner said he thought I was coming the next day and that the bag was "almost ready." When he finally brought it out, it still had all the original stains because it had clearly never been touched. Months later and absolutely nothing had been done. He refunded my money, but for a moment we genuinely thought the bag was gone. Based on my experience with Kendall Shoe Repair, I would strongly think twice before leaving anything of value there. read more

I took my Gucci bag in for an interior replacement. The owner mentioned that the repair would be challenging and would require additional time. After two months and numerous follow-up phone calls and in-person visits, I finally received my bag. Unfortunately, upon inspection, I found that the exterior of the bag was damaged and stained, rendering it ruined. The customer service was unprofessional throughout the entire process. Nestled comfortably in a strip mall off of Kendall Drive is the Kendale Lakes Shoe Repair. Don't let the subtle exterior fool you, this place knows how to treat your shoes - even if you haven't been treating them well yourself. I came here to have an old pair of Sperrys cleaned up and to have my girlfriend's favorite heels fixed (the sole was coming off, as was the cap on the heel). They gave me an estimate of $20 for both jobs and asked for 50% deposit. Not bad! Their turnover was 2-3 days, though they said it could be done before. 2 days later I received a call to pick up the shoes and I was very happy with the results. My Sperrys looked brand new, despite me having worn them daily during work over the course of about 6 months. My girlfriend's heels also looked perfect, and she said they felt great to walk in, If you need a shoe repair around the West Kendall area, stop in, you won't be disappointed! read more

If I could give this guy zero stars, I would. He promised me he would have my shoes by a certain time and it got to the point where i had to go out of my way to see if they were ready yet. I called to check if they were ready one day and this man decided to yell at me. He had my shoes for 1 month and had the audacity to yell at ME for his mess ups. He purposely made my shoes smaller so that they don't fit me and shaved the bottom of the shoes making it more likely that I would slip and fall. What type of business owner does things like this? So on top of everything, now my shoes are unwearable and I have to spend even more money to have them fixed somewhere else. This man is pure evil and deserves no respect or customers. This is the second time I take the same pair of Cole Haan shoes, last time was over a year ago, so yes I don't wear those shoes often, nevertheless I had taken them to have the heel caps and the front tip of the shoe to be redone and it was done very well, of course a year later I needed my heels done again (last minute) when I called to see how long it would take to have them done, they told me come right now and we will do them in 5 minutes , sure enough I was in and out in less than 5, friendly staff (Spanish speaking). read more

My husband dropped off two pairs of jeans and a pair of dress pants to be altered at Kendale Lakes Shoe Repair on March 9. He was told that the items would be ready to be picked up on the afternoon of March 13th. For this work, he was charged $50. All of the items we took to the store were brand new and had just been purchased. They still had the store tags on them. I stopped by the shop on March 13th and was told that my clothes weren't ready. No explanation was given as to why they were not ready. I was told I could pick up my items on March 15th. On that day, I noticed that the shop smelled of cigarette smoke. I returned to the shop on March 16th at 6 PM. Although the business hours posted on the shop indicated that the store should have been open until 7 PM, the store was closed at this time. I attempted to call the store and received no answer. The shop also did not have a voicemail set up on there phone in order to leave a message. As I was leaving, another woman was also arriving at the shop. She had left a pair of shoes there to be fixed in the previous week and was also unable to pick up her items. She was upset because she needed the items for a trip she was taking the following day. I returned to the shop on March 17th at 6 PM and also called. Once again, the shop was closed and I received no answer on the telephone even though the shop should have been open until 7 PM that day. I was unable to return to the shop until today, March 20th. I told the woman working there that I had stopped by earlier that week to pick up my items but the shop was closed and that I had called and received no answer. I was told that they were having a machine fixed and that was why they were closed. I told her I was extremely disappointed by the service we had been given. She didn't care. I told her we would not be returning, and she still didn't care. Once I got the clothes home, I saw that the work we had requested had not been completed. Additionally, the clothing smelled like cigarette smoke. My husband called the shop and told them that the work was incomplete and we were extremely upset with the condition the clothes had been returned to us in. He asked for a refund and the woman on the phone refused to grant him one. She asked us to return the clothing to them so they could clean them, but we refused; at that point, the shop had been in possession of our clothing for over a week for a simple alteration, and we did not trust them to continue to hold onto our clothing. My husband notified the woman that we would be contacting the BBB, but the woman simply didn't care. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, particularly since it seemed that we were not the only people who had falsely been promised that our items would be ready by a specified date. Moreover, the cost of the shoddy quality of service and lack of care for paying customers guarantees that we will never go back. read more

On Monday March 16, 2015 at approximately 12:30pm my wife and I dropped of 6 items to be repaired. They were one (1) female boot that needed a heal, one (1) sneaker that needed to have the sole glued in the front, a pair of Timberland boots that needed cleaning, a pair of sandals for my daughter and a woman's purse that needed the strap fixed. The cost for all of the items was $70.00 which I thought was a bit high for some glue and a heal, but what do I know about repairs I'm only a cop. The owner told us it would be ready by Saturday March 21, 2015. When I arrived he stated that he was to busy and did not have the opportunity to get to either one of items. I wasn't in a hurry so I said no problem, when can I return? He said this coming Monday March 23, 2015. My wife went to the shop and was given the purse and sandals, nothing else. Again with the apology that he had no time but that he'll get to it ASAP by the coming Saturday. My wife asked him to call her so she won't spend her time going back and forth. I returned on Monday April 7, 2015. I asked for my items and he started to hesitate and asked me to return in the afternoon. I explained to him that this is not a good business practice and if he can't do the job then close shop. I will return to retrieve my items and ask for a refund.
