To start what I mean by "going against my better judgement" A shop that is visually in complete disarray from the moment you enter should be clear indication of the service you will receive. Yet I gave the shoemaker the benefit of doubt. I handed him 4 very expensive pairs of shoes. Zanotti's 2 simply needed insoles 1 heel tabs 1 tightening of the straps. I dropped my shoes off on Saturday 4/11 and was told they'd be ready by 4/14 I was asked for payment $75.00 up front I came back on Saturday 4/18 giving them 4 extra days and the shop was closed early. I came back the following Saturday 4/25 and I was told that there had been some sort of fire somewhere in the vicinity and he was unable to finish my shoes but that he would have them ready by Monday 4/27. He told me he would call me and would deliver them to my home. NO CALL - NO DELIVERY I returned on Friday 5/1 to collect my shoes which by now should've been done but my shoes were no where to be found. He rummaged through shoes front and back but could NOT find them. I told him I needed to go to Aldi (giving him extra time without hovering over him to find my shoes) I returned 40mins later and he still had NOT located my shoes. As I watched him continue rummaging I peaked into the back area and noticed something gold in a Publix plastic bag hanging by one of the work stations and I asked him to check that bag. He said those weren't mine and I asked him to show me the gold shoe in the bag and lo and behold it was one of the 4 pair of shoes I left him. There was another pair of my shoes in the bag also UNFIXED! I had managed to recover 2 of the 4 shoes I'd dropped off. I described what one of the other pair of shoes I remembered dropping off looked like and he managed to find it however, I could not for the life of me remember which was the 4th pair which still remain missing. He begged me to give him another chance but I refused to leave this shoe repair shop my shoes any longer. What he didn't know is that one of the other times I had gone to pick up my shoes I'd heard another customer complaining that she'd been to pick up her shoes over 3 times and he'd give her some lame excuse each time. He continued to try to convince me to give him another chance but I stood my ground and asked him to give me the shoes he'd found and to refund my money. I am still missing a pair of shoes and I fear that I will never get them back as he didn't label the shoes with the ticket number or customer name and number. It might just be time for this man to consider closing shop. I will repost and update if I ever get my Missing pair of shoes back

I dropped it off the week after Christmas and was told it would be ready January 24. When I went to pick it up in early February, the owner seemed confused and asked me to describe the bag. After disappearing in the back for 15 minutes, he admitted he hadn't even started it and asked for three more weeks. Three weeks later I returned and the exact same thing happened -- again asking me to describe the bag and asking for more time. On my third attempt, he asked me to describe the bag yet again and tried to delay it another week. At that point I demanded my bag back. When I returned on March 12, the owner said he thought I was coming the next day and that the bag was "almost ready." When he finally brought it out, it still had all the original stains because it had clearly never been touched. Months later and absolutely nothing had been done. He refunded my money, but for a moment we genuinely thought the bag was gone. Based on my experience with Kendall Shoe Repair, I would strongly think twice before leaving anything of value there.

Outside of the quality work they provide what I like most is how courteous and professional everyone is at this business and they will always give you an honest answer on whether or not something should be repaired as well. Interesting to note that the local LV and GUCCI stores actually refer their customers to Jorge and Javier as they can bring many of those high end purses back to life for you. Now it may take a bit to get your items back but believe me it will be worth the wait as they recall do an excellent job.
