I've been using Eureka Shoe Repair for over 15 years. Their work is excellent. I recently realized that they do alterations on the premises. The seamstresses there are fantastic. Prices are a little steep, but you get what you pay for. I'm very satisfied with all of the shoe repairs and alterations the shop has done for me. read more

They lost my wife's shoe for weeks and we were inconvenienced by having to make several phone calls - not to mention my wife couldn't wear her shoes. Of course they charge customers up front. Only after "I" made yet another phone call did they finally track it down. When I drove all the way back there to pick it up, she just handed me the shoe - no apology, no "sorry for any inconvenience" - nothing. I politely said "...you know, it would have been nice if you apologized for all the inconvenience and losing my shoe for several weeks." She just smugly smiled and said "have a nice day." They could care less!!! Now I'm going to contest payment through my credit card company and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau etc. It's so easy to just say "sorry" - it goes a long way!! Me destruyeron el zapato. La tapa sigue sonando, dejaron el metalito de fuera, la suela roja de Louboutin la pintarrajearon de negro y el pegamento se salio todo y embarraron el zapato entero! Son unos puercos! Ooo ademas que entegue mis zapatos en su bolsa original roja de tela y alegan que no es cierto y no me la devolvieron! Tienen un desorden y son unos puercos! I had a very negative dishonest experience with a local business and I wanted to share for your reference. Back in June, I took a pair of shoes to be repaired (dyed to another color) at the** Eureka Shoe Repair at 9833 SW 184th St.** They willingly took the shoes and committed to the repair and stated the completion date to be 2 weeks. I have checked for completion of the project no fewer than 7 times over the last FOUR MONTHS and have been assured they would be completed imminently (needing to be completed by some single Individual who is the only person who does these "special projects"). They often said they would call with updates and never did so I returned time after time to check in. As a last effort, the "uncle" (the one individual who does this type of work) assured me 3 weeks ago he would complete the project that week. I returned today, October 25th to find that he is actually a liar (literally directly lied to my face) and did not complete the job. He was unapologetic and unprofessional. This is not acceptable business practice and local customers deserve better. I look forward to reporting this matter to the better business bureau and publicizing how awful the service rendered by this vendor has been. Frankly, any time over the last FOUR MONTHS, they could have told me the truth that they wouldn't complete the job. Truly unacceptable and untrustworthy. read more

Had to get some Jordans glued in the side as a piece was coming apart. When I showed up to pick them up it looked like someone had welded the shoe shut. When I asked what happened some bald guy with glasses said that's how they repair them and if I want them done correctly I'd have to "call Mr. Jordan yourself" all while the skinny Hispanic lady was saying stuff under her breath on the side. All I got was "you'll have to talk to the owner I have nothing to do with it" from the guy helping me. Worst part of all, the shoe came undone again in the parking lot when I went to check it. When I went to the show repair shop, the people there were surprisingly vivid & nice! We had to go there because my mom had to get her fixed shoe that just got fixed. But, when we got back to the car after my mom got her fixed shoe, we found out that the shoe broke again. I'm only giving this place 4 stars for customer services. read more

I've had everything from broken straps on strappy heels to busted zippers on my luggage repaired here. Good customer service but poor job quality. Dropped off a pair of tennis shoes that needed glue on the sole. They were a pair of Pumas, the sole was slighty being unglued on the sides. As we inquire how much it was going to be, the lady at the counter said $12, we were like $12?, anything less that you can do? She stated, no because this is a meticulous job to be done on the shoe and it needs to be carefully done. We went back because of the bad quality of work, after some minutes arguing with the lady, she said, well we all have a bad day. I totally understand that, but if you are having a bad day, then don't do the work! The lady (which I suppose is the owner) did not apologize, but did say she was going to have it "fixed". They did a better job afterwards, but it seems that they don't want the business. This might be a singled out bad review, but it does make a difference when the owner takes pride on the work of their employees. read more

I've been here several times and I've always received good customer service. I usually go to get heel tips replaces or have protective soles put on my pumps. The turn around time is always seems pretty good to me (3-5 days), but then again... I'm never really in a rush to get the repairs done. read more

A while back I went in for some shoe repairs which I found exhorbitant and I got some dirty looks for expressing my opinion and for trying to talk them down from $12 a pair for gluing a shoe sole back. I made it a point not to go back there again. But a few months later when I got a secondhand brown signature speedy Louise Vuitton and wanted a "professional" cleaning for it (and they are so close to my house), I went in and wound up being sold a cleaning product for about a fourth of their price of cleaning it for me. Turned out I was sold a cleaner for white leather and almost ruined an expensive and beloved handbag. They were nice enough to exchange the cleaner for the right tone. About a year later after driving around with 3 pairs of beloved shoes with unglued straps (unwearable) for a few weeks, I finally went in and decided to give the place another shot, albeit at $12 a pair, it's still cheaper than buying the shoes new and that's if I can find them. I should have made the effort of finding another shoe repair place. One of the shoe repairs completely fell apart the first time I wore them. Another of the repairs has 3 tiny nails sticking out into the ball of my foot (which I hammer back in from time to time for my $12). Now the third pair I dropped off after the first two pairs, and those were supposed to be ready today. Guess what? The third pair was not ready and I was told to come back tomorrow to pick up the third pair and the re-repaired shoe laying on the counter. Oh, and the dirty looks I got for asking for a discount since the work was shoddy and late, you would have thought I was asking to borrow money! I told the store owner that I would be posting about this experience, and she responded that she would continue to rely on her customers of 25 years. I used to bring my clothes and my shoes for alterations and repairs to this place but today was the last time. They used to do awesome jobs but not anymore. My last two experiences have been horrible. They damaged an expensive dress doing the alterations and still had to pay $100.00,not to mention the time it took and all the trails I had trying to fix her mistake. Today, I went to pick up a par of shoes and they weren't ready. They were supposed to be ready since Wednesday. I came back and hour later, and either were ready. I waited until they finished and the surprise was the "job" they did. I could have done a better job at home than them. Had 3 pairs of shoes repaired. Spent $80 & received the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen , especially after waiting 7 weeks (5 weeks longer than originally promised). The strap on one of the shoes broke 5 minutes after wearing as he glued it incorrectly, then the female owner tried to tell me they didn't fix the strap. My shoes were dirty & had glue all over them.
