However, as of the late, my main frustration is their prescription refill process. It seems like when you call the office you do not reach anyone directly - I think it's a call center. I tried to refill my prescription but when it went to the pharmacy it was declined by the doctor. Thus, began a continuous loop of me calling the office, regurgitating the same information call after call to various call receivers, and never getting a call back from the doctor/office. This is really hard on people when they rely on certain medication for assistance.

Then they called and changed my appointment time and date 2 times. I called at least 10 times to get the refill sent to the pharmacy. No luck. I'm sure that Dr. Gallardo will be fired and in a few years will be out of business. Optum sucks. When you call you don't even get someone on the phone that works in the office. My insurance stopped being accepted by One Medical (after years of flawless experiences), but when I had a recent medical issue and reached out specifically asking for an in network referral, I was told to come into see my PCP first instead. I came in, was looked at, and then referred anyway. MEANWHILE I WAS CHARGED MORE THAN $400!!!!! When I later raised the issue, One Medical staff actually acknowledged that they could find no record that I had ever been informed that my insurance was no longer accepted, and that THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME ON SITE BUT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY DID NOT. Despite that, I am now being expected to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a visit I attended without being told that the insurance coverage I had previously used with them dozens of times was no longer valid. That is the part I find unacceptable. This was not a situation where I ignored a notice, misunderstood a bill, or knowingly chose to receive out-of-network care. According to One Medical's own response to me, they did not communicate the insurance change, yet I am apparently expected to absorb the financial consequences of their failure to do so. I tried to resolve this privately before posting a review. Instead of someone taking ownership of the issue and correcting it, my complaint has been passed between multiple people for weeks. I have received messages from several different staff members, but still no meaningful resolution to the central problem: One Medical failed to tell me my insurance was no longer accepted and is still expecting me to pay the resulting charges. One Medical markets itself as a premium, convenient healthcare service with better communication and easier access to care. My experience has been the opposite. If a medical practice changes whether it accepts a patient's insurance, notifying that patient before continuing to provide services should be one of the most basic administrative responsibilities. I gave them multiple opportunities to fix this before leaving a public review. At this point, prospective patients deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves from ending up in the same situation. If One Medical ultimately takes responsibility and resolves these charges appropriately, I will update this review. As of now, they have not.

One of the best ones is that a full fledged Health Care Center is centrally located on the premise. If you live here and chose one of your doctors to be your family practitioner, you can literally walk to your appointments! They seem to accept all forms of health insurance and of course Medicare. Other specialty doctors practice here part time and it is easy to make an appointment when they are present. Staff is super friendly and so far all my appointments have been on time. Dr. Narain is a really cool doctor and is super knowledgeable and friendly. I'm so glad to have this type of service right at my doorsteps.
