I was heading back home to the western suburbs from eastern Iowa on I-88. About halfway there my fan belt shredded so I had to pull over into the small town of Lyndon on a Sunday morning, 88° out. I called my Roadside Service who said they'd get someone there soon. Numerous calls/texts back kept telling me different arrival times. Four hours later they finally texted me the number for Kendall in Rock Island and said they were on the way. I called Kendall and spoke with a real person, Kaylee, who was pleasant and helpful and said that Dustin, the driver, would be there soon. Sure enough he arrived and was helping another motorist he stumbled upon who was struggling to change a flat. He soon got my car loaded and we headed east to my dealer to drop it off. He knew exactly where he was going and drove safely the entire trip of 2 hours+. I was worried that a driver on a hot Sunday, 3 hours from home, would not be a joy to ride with, especially a guy 40 years younger the me. My fears were completely wrong - his attitude was so upbeat he made me forgot about the awful day I was having. We had a great conversation about many things, i.e. his different jobs, my different jobs, his goals and work ethic, his new son at home, etc. He dropped me and my car off and was still in an upbeat mood facing a 3 hour drive back home just before dark. To close a rambling story, I was stranded far from home and Kendall came through on a Sunday with supportive, friendly people who did the job better than I could have hoped. I watched them pull up and patch the crater that popped my new tire (intersection of 7th St and 42nd Ave Dr) while waiting for the tow to arrive. Lost my truck rear wheel on the way to work and contacted USAA for roadside assistance. USAA dispatched Kendall towing and they were there to assist me within a matter of minutes, less than 15 I believe. My driver Arturo was super friendly and reassuring, he was able to get my truck up quickly and help me locate my tire that came off. I don't know the cost as the claim was through my insurance but I can say the service this team provides is immaculate. If your roadside assistance dispatches these guys, kindly DECLINE! So, the changing of a FLAT TIRE, unbeknownst to me, lead to $1800 worth of radiator damage because THEIR driver, Michael, as we stood there, placed the jack in the wrong spot! Literally watched him attempt to jack my car up, and then move it to a different spot once he realized his mistake! Exactly TWO days later, I go to get four new tires installed and aligned and surprise, surprise...a leaking radiator and damaged charge air coolers! And these STAND UP GUYS won't do the right thing and admit fault! In fact, they told my insurance adjuster because this is now a collision claim due to the extent of the damage, that although the CERTIFIED repair shop concluded that the damage was caused by a jack, and BTW, this is my FIRST FLAT IN THIS CAR so it has never needed a jack prior to this, it's "not where his guy placed the jack" so they won't be filing a claim with their insurance company! I'm not asking for compensation or a "payday". I asked for them to do WHAT'S RIGHT! Shame on you Addison (manager)! Just know, I won't just "go away"! read more

My car was not driveable at 6:30 am on a Thursday. I needed to have my vehicle towed to a repair shop that could have my car operational in time for me to drive back to Cedar Rapids for some Dr. appointments. John from Kendall Towing was very helpful. He recommended multiple shops to call and ultimately got me connected with CarX in Davenport. See my review there. John saved my bacon in multiple ways. He gave me time to locate a repair shop that could get my car operational in 2 days. When he arrived to tow my car, the battery went dead. He was equipped to deal with that too. He dropped me off with my car at the repair shop. Without John, I doubt I would have found CarX and doubt I would have made my Dr. appointments on the following Monday. read more

Full disclaimer: I didn't actually use their services. Despite this, however, the team behind Kendall was incredibly helpful! My bf and I got a flat tire on a cross country drive from NYC to Los Angeles somewhere in Moline, Illinois. We had 0 idea where we were or where we could find a repair shop with our very specific tires. The closest gas station have me a card for Kendall Tow. I called Kendall (spoke with Addison or Jeremy) and anticipated needing a tow...while on the phone they found a shop with our tires and told me that our current (now deflated) run flat tire would likely make it to the shop and could probably forgo the tow. Not only were they kind enough to help out "just because," they also texted us along the way to ensure we got where we needed to be! Maybe I'm jaded after living in big cities for so long, but kindness goes a long way in my book! If I'm ever caught with a flat tire or car trouble in quad city area, I'd call them again without hesitation - and offer to take them for drinks! Thank you Kendall!!! read more

I needed to have my NEW car towed from home to the dealership. The auto-maker's towing and road services sent the order to Kendall Towing in Milan IL. Their tow operator, Mike Merideth, called me within 5 minutes about his ETA, apologizing because he would be an hour out (he was on another call 50 minutes from my address). He asked if I was safe and did I need any other assistance. He called when he was 15 minutes away. He arrived and was very professional and friendly. What a great experience! I will absolutely call Kendall Towing if I need another tow!!! I subsequently called the dispatcher to tell him how I appreciated Mr. Merideth's friendly, professional demeanor.
