Just what I was looking for! I will happily drive a little for bagels on the weekend. Great selection to choose from & the schmears were delicious.

"The bagel-eating people are probably just not bagel people." This is what I thought to myself after reading reviews. Very mixed. I went in with an open mind and pretending not to be a bagel person. Before I get to the bagels, I was second in line. The first guy in line (older golfer-looking dude named Art) said, "Two onion and two everything." No please, thank you, nothing. Then he couldn't figure out how to use pos system (credit card machine/pos=point of sale). First he tapped button too fast. Then he held it down too long. Poor guy. I was entertained. Then I got them bagels and brought them to my car as if holding a secret. I ate them bagels and they were ... a 3.8 each (of 5). There's a hint of taste, and you hope there to be more taste to come out of nowhere with the next bite, but it just never happens. I can't recommend or advise against. This place falls into No Man's Land. It's ok.

Kendall's Bagels & More is a small bagel shop located in the same shopping plaza as the Winn-Dixie. As the name would imply, this establishment has a focus on their bagels and cream cheese (which they adopt the New York term of "schmears"), but they also feature sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfasts and more. I grabbed a "baker's dozen" of bagels andopted to go with two of their flavored cream cheeses, one was jalapeño and cheddar and the other was bacon and I believe chives (honestly, I saw bacon and the rest blurred). When I got to my business appointment, the bagels were well received. I myself had an everything bagels with half of the bagel being "schmeared" with the jalapeño and cheddar cream cheese and the other half with the bacon and whatever else was on that cream cheese. Both were very good. The bagel itself was also very good. The only negatives that I had noticed was that they didn't offer to slice nor toast the bagels, plus I had to ask for plastic knives to go. Service was also a bit slow, but perhaps it was because they were shorthanded. All in all, I will give this place four stars.

This is the bagel I received.. so much cream cheese ! !

After reading the reviews I knew I would have to try out the bagels for myself. I really did not expect to have to write a bad review about this place. When I first walked in I was shocked to see how unclean the restaurant was! There was dirt under the tables, around the chairs, and in the corners of the restaurant. It's not very appetizing when you see hair on the floor as they make your food. The uncleanliness of this restaurant should've prepared me for how the food would taste. I've had some bagels that weren't good but this was truly the worst I've had. When I first opened my bagel it was cut in half, I separated them and had barley any cream cheese on it. The bagels themselves were very hard and you really have to bite into them. I could've looked past that part IF the cream cheese didn't taste like cake icing made from play dough. I can't speak for the other food they offer and I won't be able to tell you because I will never go back to this restaurant. It's such a shame because we need better restaurants in Palm Coast!

frosting, not cream cheese. it was so gross!

I really love supporting family business, but this has got to be the worst establishment of any kind that i've been to in years. I truly went in with zero expectations, but was greeted with dirty sticky floors and a glare from the cashier. I said hello good morning, the cashier just stared blankly. I thought no worries, long as the food is good i have no issues. Our order was 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese. First issue was there is hardly any cream cheese, to the point there's dry spots on the bagel. It was hardly toasted too. The cream cheese is definitely frosting, and NOT cream cheese. I couldn't even swallow a single bite it was that bad! Friend got a plain bagel and cream cheese, same deal. She couldn't finish a bite either. If the owner can see this, I suggest training your workers to at least greet customers and how to toast a bagel - Wouldn't be a bad idea to change the cream cheese recipe because (no offense) it is just awful!

There are so many no's in the place I don't know where to begin. Bagels were pricey, tasteless and flat. The cinnamon raisin was so hard my husband tossed it. The center holes were very large and you could see the seam join. Obviously these were made in a hurry and didn't have enough time for the dough to rise properly. I would hope this was a one off but the last time I went in they had 1 bagel in the case and it looked the same. The staff was not friendly at all and didn't bother to acknowledge me until I stood in front of the register and flagged someone down. The whole atmosphere was not one of comfort. I was hoping for a really good bagel but truthfully I would have been better off going to Publix and buying Einstein bagels...

Decided to stop here and make an order for my office. Ordered about 6 different bagels and sandwiches. All came out the same quality and were hot still when I arrived at my job. Apparently these bagels are from NY but they seem smaller than I remember. Aside from that the bagels were delicious and everyone enjoyed them.

Blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese

The different bagels are cream cheese mixes are always delicious! Especially the blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese, make sure to eat here early or you'll miss out on the blueberry magic!

We did have clam chowder minus the clams and bits of potato normally found in most every clam chowder. It was essentially a milky broth. The fish sandwich was good. Our choice of Mahi was a nice-sized portion-control piece that had no doubt been purchased and delivered frozen, but to be fair was cooked to our liking. And it came with a large serving of crisp tasty fresh fries. The french dip sandwich was also pretty good. Plenty of shaved meat and a nice pineapple slaw side was more than enough to satisfy us. No complaints unless you thought clam chowder actually oughta have clam and potato in it, or if you were planning to enjoy fresh FL seafood at the 'Turtle Shack'. Instead, enjoy the burgers and the wings and the portion-control fish sandwich and the french dip and ignore the mis-leading name out front.
