We wanted to try a local ice cream shop and luckily we made it inside before they closed! I got one scoop of Cookie Monster and one scoop of gingerbread. My husband got one scoop of Cookie Monster and one scoop of espresso. The prices were decent for the sized scoops. The woman working there wasn't very welcoming at first but we kept trying to chat and finally she smiled and talked with us. The Cookie Monster was our favorite with cookie dough and Oreo pieces. The gingerbread was a disappointment as it lacked any real flavor. I was hoping for a burst of ginger or chunks of gingerbread. Overall it was a decent spot if you're craving ice cream but I'd try other flavors next time. read more

Craving ice cream during our annual vacation in Palm Coast, Florida. Tried this local ice cream place after seeing the photos and reviews in Yelp. The man, who I believed was the owner, is really friendly and appeared to have repeat customers as he knew their names as they entered. He allowed me to try some of the flavors they showcased but was so happy that it offered my favorite, Affogato. The Affogato in this place was unique. Twisters had the creamiest vanilla soft serve ice cream. Also, not only did it have a shot of espresso but also included hot fudge (I believe) poured in the center and topped with chopped walnuts. Twisters is an awesome little ice cream shop in Palm Coast. On our way back home to Orlando after staying in Palm Coast to celebrate our anniversary, we decided to stop in for an ice cream fix. I had read reviews mentioning the milho verde ice cream which is like a sweet buttered popcorn flavor. I was intrigued and had to try it. I ordered a small cone with the milho verde and requested it to be dipped. My boyfriend ordered a cookies and cream milk shake. We took our orders to go and enjoyed them in the car. I was glad I listened to the reviews because the milho verde ice cream was delicious! It was wonderfully creamy and not overly sweet. The chocolate dip was a perfect compliment to the flavor. I enjoyed every bite! My boyfriend also loved his shake. I took a sip and it was yummy. I liked that they provide a thick straw which makes it much easier to drink a shake with chunks of cookie in it. The staff were wearing masks (this was during COVID-19) which was appreciated. They give off the vibe of a great little mom and pop spot. There were so many flavors of ice cream that sounded delicious, so I know I'll be back next time I'm in the area to sample some more ice cream deliciousness! read more
