I was driving by and saw this place, and I recognized the name from these magazines that get delivered that have coupons in them (of course I didn't have the coupon with me) you place your order at a window for ice cream and in the same window, Nathan's hot dogs! So of course we got both. 2 hot dogs and a regular sized French fries. Yummy. The ice cream choices, flavors like coffee break and birthday cake, I got southern banana pudding, you can taste the nana's imo I could take a bit more flavor, with crumbled cookie bits inside( and I believe the girl at the counter said white chocolate flavor in there too) and my mom got pistachio which was very light on pistachio flavor but heavy on actual pistachios inside. This is my go to ice cream shop on a sunny day. They serve unique flavors that are always delicious. They also serve Nathan's hot dogs so you can get lunch and dessert here. We took our dog with us and they gave him a doggy ice cream too! The only down side is that it is an outdoor shop. So if it's raining, you might want to take your umbrella. read more

We have been on Florida over 18 years and originally from Maryland where we loved the Butter Brickle ice cream. We have not been able to find it and I was very happy to see it on the menu. I stopped by to get some late last week and they did not have it. They took my name and number to call me which they did yesterday. Bruster's ice cream rules. Stopped here with my mom after eating a crappy lunch somewhere nearby in need of a pick me up. The teenage boy working was so friendly and helpful! He let me try all the flavors I wanted and served my mom and I with a big smile. The ice cream itself is very creamy and very flavorful. I got a scoop of black raspberry and a scoop of some sort of chocolate peanut butter concoction that was too decadent for words. I loved how this was a little stand in a sea of corporate storefronts in Palm Coast. There is ample parking and the prices are reasonable. My mom and I both decided this place is worth coming to when you're in need of a nice frozen treat. Also - if you bring your own banana for a banana split you get a discount which I thought was really silly. The front end workers are great. My one star rating goes to the owner and manager of the store. As a customer, I witnessed her being belittling and downright demeaning to a new employee that had just started. It's too bad because I know that this location is having difficulties finding workers and to treat a new employee like the way this owner did was downright unacceptable. Ice cream is always good and the service from the EMPLOYEES has always been great. I'm just really troubled by the way this person treated a new employee. If I noticed it as a customer, I wonder how she treats employees when customers are not in view. read more

When I pulled up it reminded me of Handel's (a little research, discovered the two were once related) - 'Graham Central Station' a favorite flavor of mine at Handel's is also offered at Bruster's! Nice little ice cream shop I visited while in Palm Coast. Brusters has a whole lot of different things they can conjure up with different flavors of ice cream. After sampling a few of they're flavors I can safely say that there are no bad flavors ! It's not a hit or miss thing, it's more of you're going to hit, just depends what mood you are in... I usually get my daughter the free cone since there's a huge sign that shoes that if you are under a certain height, the child gets a free baby cone. Well, I never had a problem until a few days ago when a young curly haired girl asked for her age. I said "4" along with the other kids ages and she stressed to us that she was not allowed to have the free cone even though the sign specifically says under "x" height requirement. I couldn't believe she denied a 4 yr old her ice cream that she loves specifically because of how it's decorated. Ended up paying for the ice creams, and had my daughter completely balling because she didn't get what she wanted. She's not spoiled by any means, but when a parent keeps telling their child they will get one after not having one in a while, the parent AND child better get what they wanted since we abided by their rules. My husband brought it up to another young man working there and pointed out my daughter and how their sign said nothing about age. He and the other employee that didn't serve us said it wasn't a problem and there was no age requirement. I was livid. Once again, my child is not spoiled, we did not break any rules and as a parent who doesn't have much trying to make ends meet and trying to make a kid happy, this is unacceptable.
