The site I was moved to had not been prepped and there is moss on the pad. I called and spoke with 4 different people and no one showed. The landscaping/maintenance people drive by several times each day. I finally decided to 'live' with it but it wasn't right. I haven't seen another site in this condition in the entire park. We had such a large area of the beach all to ourselves. We were there for a few hours, and probably could have stayed longer. My partner said it was the most Caribbean looking beach he's ever been to not actually in the Caribbean. Things to note: Conditions might be quite different on different days. Apparently, the 1.3 trail to the beach can be wet and buggy (not when we were there!) and the water can have more algae (though it was stunningly clear during our visit). $15/person fee, with discounts for families.

There were flush toilets and showers near the site which were super convenient. The park itself is well maintained, including the beach areas. We enjoyed hiking the trails and also took advantage of the park's canoe rental. It cost $28 for a full day rental, which included two life jackets and the paddles. Will definitely be back!

The comfort stations were meticulously clean and water stations were always just a short stroll from our site. There are 2 shallow beaches that were rarely crowded during our stay. There is kayak and canoe rentals available and we took advantage of the canoe rental to go fishing in the lake. Fishing was phenomenal as almost every cast returned at leave a small sunfish, perfect for young/beginner shoreline angler like my daughter. There are plenty of hiking trails and wild life. While fishing, we spotted some water snakes, giant snapping turtles and many frogs/toads. Only downside was the amount of mosquitoes we had to fight off due to plentiful rainfall earlier in the season. We would definitely return to camp here again and next time, we'll be sure to book for a week as the 4 days just flew right on by!

Each sight is equipped with a fire pit and picnic table. They have what I have to consider,the cleanest shower equipped,public camp ground bathroom! They have a pool that opens the second week of June and plenty of off camp sight parking. While I would have generally reserved this type of place as a 3 star review, here's what makes it a 4. The staff, we all know how some public employees can be..... these guys broke the mold! The park manager escorted us to our sight and gave us a quick rundown!!! The night(watchman?) stopped by and advised us on the 8am and 8pm trash pickups and where the local convenience stores were. On a side note he stopped every night to see if we needed anything! Pro tips, There is no beach There is no power on the sights There is a guy that comes by every night selling wood. Only 2 vehicles per sight.

It's a large park with a splash pad, restrooms, a sidewalk along the waterfront, and a sandy beach with a swimming area. There is good tree cover (at least when I was there in August) so you don't have to roast in the sun. Lots of children and dogs were enjoying the day, and there are benches and picnic tables to enjoy your lunch. It's not far from the departure point for Gananoque bout tours and has a nice view of the St. Lawrence River.

It is a bit off the beaten path but offers breathtaking views. When walking on the Limestone beach look in both directions at the pure beauty of the cliffs and the trees. There is also a beautiful march beside the beach. Take a hike or walk up on the cliffs for more scenic views. A beautiful serene place I will visit time and time again. A MUST SEE
