Lovely cruise trip to Boldt Castle with this agency. Ports are easy to find. Lots of seating on the ship. Really well organized and efficient. Totally recommend.

First time visiting Thousand Island area. We booked the 2 1/2 tour and it was a truly delightful experience. Comprehensive history with insight into the creation of the Canadian/American community. Went twice around Boldts castle. Overall amazing value for the money would recommend

Gananoque Boat Line never cease to impress me! This year I brought my mother and my little sister along my husband. We decided to go for the 2.5hour boat tour. We used a coupon to save 2$ our tickets, the cashiers were extremely courteous and helpful, we asked a couple of questions about the tour (we were not 100% if we should go for the 2.5h tour or the 5h). The tour departed on schedule at 12:30pm and others amazing. The tour is fully guided and everything was explained, the windows are big and you can open them up and appreciate the view. The boat goes around Boldt castle twice so people get the chance to snap pictures. The weather was fine and the boat wasn't too full, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Next year, we'll visit Boldt castle

    1000 Islands Kayaking

We signed up for a half day tour of the thousand islands and I was under the impression my…read moreboyfriend and I would have our own tour guide for the three hour tour. We were super excited and filled out all of their paperwork. We showed up for the tour and found out we were going with a bunch of other couple. We thought that's ok since we'll be in our own kayak and the form we filled out asked us about our experience etc. We thought we would be paired with other people of our level. Nope! We were wrong again. One person on the tour was a complete beginner and the entire group had to wait for them and and the other kayakers who couldn't keep up. Our guide would tell us where to paddle to and then we would wait 10-15 minutes for the rest of the group to catch up. If a company asks everyone thrr their ability, shouldn't all the groups be a similar ability so people won't be bored? I thought we were going to get a great workout but there was no workout involved in this adventure. The Positives: It was nice to see the 1000 islands, see a ship wreck and learn we could have gone onto any of the islands with a sign, since they are all public parks. Our guide was very nice and he even towed one of the group members when she couldn't paddle anymore. I thought that was really nice of him. The Negatives: There was a lot of waiting around and we didn't get to go for a swim since we spent more than half the time waiting for the rest of the group. I wish registration was more clear and I'd I knew it wasn't a private tour I would have paid more for it to be a private tour where we could have done everything we wanted.

I ended up being late to my group kayak tour but 1000 islands and I kept in contact while I was on line. I was stressed out but they helped so much by offering me an individual kayak session instead. They were very informative on how to operate the kayak and recommended spots to visit, and also provided a laminated map. They were very friendly and made sure to refund me the difference, since I did not go on the group tour. Recommend to anyone who is traveling to the 1000 Islands!

Hearing info about the 1000 islands was cool. The prices for the boat tours seems pretty affordable, especially if you are doing the cruises in groups. There are washrooms onboard. Also, there was snacks and drinks have similar prices to concert and events food and drinks. For the 3 hour tour We took a morning tour. It was not very busy so there's a lot of space to move around. The most popular spot was the very front (bottom level). It's calm though it might be a little long for some. For the 5 hour tour: We took an afternoon/evening tour. Despite how busy it is, it was cool to visit and step foot on Boldt Island. Also, make sure you know which boat you were on as there will be multiple tour boats from other companies in the area. The Island and Castle were larger than I thought. The achitecture and interior were gorgeous and impressive. From what I remember, I think the gift shop accepts both currencies.

We thought the 3-hour trip was the most suitable one for us since it's not that short that you miss a lot of the islands and not that long to be tiring. The 5-hour boat ride will drop you off at the Boldt Castle so that you can explore the castle at your own pace. The islands are very beautiful and it's nice to pass by the cottages and mansions and learn more about some of them. The guided tour is specifically helpful as you learn more about the history as well.
