She is always available for questions and is a master at all things insurance related. Kiana has treated my son like her own from day one. She is warm and upbeat. One of the most possitive people I have ever met. My shy baby is excited to see her at each visit and runs into her arms. They understand how stressful the process can be and have treated me and my family with patience and compassion. Bad and unfortunate experience!!! I got so much work done to have my both kids referrals to be approved for speech therapy from my Doctor and finally got everything done,came to Kenneks ,Maria the front desk person told me that she will give me a call when anything will be available, feels like if she is the only one who run this entire place ,so she never called me and I try to reach multiple times and got once again just from Maria an answer that there is nothing available! Our son has been a client for about 3 years now, receiving OT PT and Speech. The owner, Kiana, is kind and committed to providing the best care possible, and has on many occasions taken the time to talk with me. All of the staff has that same kindness and commitment, and it shows every visit. They are warm and focused and consistent. My nephew came here because I heard such good things about this place. So I came in and took a little tour. I decided I wanted to give it a shot. Everyone seemed very nice. But the time that I was there turned out to be not such a good experience. First problem was the therapist was inconsistent. Was not given one therapist. The receptionist over extraggerated the amount of times the appiontment was missed. The office manager wasn't very understanding the times that appionments were missed. So I just think that in the future should try to be more understanding or find more options for the ones that have a little bit more of a struggle. And if theirs an easier way then we can discuss it. In the future I would suggest a little bit more understanding. read more

We been here for a while now. Jaime , my son thearpist is amazing. She really cares for the kids she she's and talks to me about all my son has done and ways I can help at home. Keneks has made this process very painless. I originally had an appointment with Rady's but the earliest appt I could get was two long months away so I decided to look elsewhere, so starts my Yelp search. Maria is the receptionist at Keneks. I sent her a photo of my insurance card and she took care of the rest. She even informed me that Keneks is under the umbrella of Children's Primary Care Medical Group, which means I should be totally covered and the referral would be that much more easy to transfer. We got our first appt in about 2-2.5 weeks later, an A+ over the two month long wait with Rady's. We saw Kiana, one of the many therapist who work there, first for our evaluation appt. She was very kind and my daughter didn't even know she was being assessed. It was just a game to her. A plus plus in my book. We've seen Lori, another therapist, since then and she is also very informative and sympathetic. She takes the time to explain what she will be doing that day and what to expect in the next coming appts. Another plus plus. I feel very reassured that therapy will be helpful and the staff here seems to really care but we are only about 3 appts in, that's why I only gave 4 stars. I will be back to revise once we get deeper into therapy. We are seeing Keneks for speech therapy by the way. Keep up the great work everyone. We've really enjoyed our experience so far. UPDATE: We're almost 25 appts into therapy and my daughter's speech has improved so obviously. She's improving everyday and enjoys her time with Lori, mostly. I say mostly because it is therapy and it can make her nervous and anxious but she has done amazingly!!! Lori continues to make strides with my daughter and her progress is overwhelming and makes me tear up all the ti. 5 stars all the way! UPDATE May 22, 2019 Sadly, Lori has left this therapy clinic. UPDATE July 30, 2019 A lot of turnaround as far as staff goes (lots of new and younger faces) so therapy is not going as smooth but it is also summer and I have forgotten a few sessions too (eek). read more

I can't say enough great things about Miss Katie! She is just so wonderful and has been extremely patient with my son. He very much a mamas boy and has a hard time adjusting to new places and meeting new people. The first few months of going to speech therapy was rough; lots of crying and not wanting to do the activities. Miss Katie was so understanding and knew that she just needed to build a bond of trust with my son. She waited for him to approach her and never forced him to do anything he wasn't comfortable with. Now 6 months later and he loves going to see her every week. He has grown so much with his speech and social skills. Maria the receptionist makes you feel so welcome and is always so kind. I bring my son to Keneks for speech therapy and I have to say that Kiana and Danielle are FANTASTIC! They really took the time to build rapport with my son and make him feel comfortable. I love the whole atmosphere of this place! The manager is very helpful and friendly. I feel so welcome every time I come here and it's so organized and clean. The therapist we see is Lori and it has been a great fit from day one! Lori is so experienced, loves her job and understands profoundly my son's speech needs; as she is a parent herself that has gone through a similar experience. My son is five and has previously received speech at Radys; I also live 5 mins from Rady's children hospital in Oceanside and I opt to drive here for the exceptional care Keneks is and has provided my child. Wow- this is an oasis of kind competent folks who respond to messages professionally and rapidly and schedule kiddos promptly and at reasonable times. I struggled for nine months to get Radys OT to help us and was so relieved and pleased to learn there is an insurance approved alternative to the scheduling nightmare at Radys. Thank you Maria and Keneks. Here's hoping we can stay with you: Continuity of therapy and therapist is important to my kiddos progress. Turnover is hard. At Radys we experienced high therapist turnover and were told its normal and we were told to pause over summer but then as a result we lost our after school slot. Returning in the fall 2017 and trying to schedule OT after school we were told would be next to impossible. We were offered float times during school times. Not good for a child learning crucial math and language skills. Keneks is literally the opposite experience so far. Kudos to Keneks team. Wonderful top notch customer service. read more

We have been going to Keneks Therapy for just over a month to receive services for my son. During this time, our appointment had been cancelled twice. I called to ask for a different speech therapist just because my son needs consistency and routine. I was told that they would get back to me, they never did. I had to call them to get my son the services he qualified for. They have VERY limited availability and could not provide the 2hours a week therapy that he needs because of their busy schedule. If looking for a vendor, I would recommend a different place due to their lack of availability and scheduling. When my son was there for his appointments, everything was good. I feel so incredibly blessed that we found Keneks. After having horrible experiences at two other therapy offices, this place is truly a hidden gem. My son was diagnosed with a speech delay at around 18 months and we jumped into speech therapy. We had a very difficult time finding a good therapist and well run office. After hours of researching and calling and asking around I found Keneks. I was willing to pay out of pocket for the right fit, but thankfully do not have to as they accept our insurance. The staff here is incredible. They genuinely care about your child and their success. They understand each child is different and cater to your child's specific needs. I found Keneks Therapy after doing a ton of research. My son needed an evaluation and some eating/speech related therapy. The office is clean and so well equipped. Kiana and her staff are excellent. As I tell the staff there - you don't really realize how bad another provider is until you go to a good one. At Keneks, you will see how much better they are than many providers!!! My son is on spectrum w/ a significant speech delay. After a year of no progress I asked the Regional Center to add OT to his speech and to change our provider as they didn't have the skill to get my son engaged. First of all as you come in the environment is bright but gentle, with lots of comfortable seating, toys & kid TV. They have a stocked emergency diaper station, where as the last place provided nothing but the code to the dumpster (and the floor) because I guess they are were too cheap to buy diaper bags. The staff all knows who you are after the first visit. They welcome all the kids effusively!! The OT section is good sized and full of toys. safety mats, climbing wall swing, and lots of sensory specific items and great staff. One of the therapists has a child who is in the same situation, so she is a treasure trove of great ideas and has done much to educate me. My sons speech therapists have encouraged independence and my sons language is progressing. They give us homework and always touch base after each session to answer any questions I might have. They have even connected me to good research papers to help understand how to help my son best! It always feels like we are all one big happy family - patients, therapists and other parents. Maria at the front desk is beyond helpful and kind! As a mother weeding her way through her sons autism diagnosis there are many firsts. The first provider turned out to be lots of aggravation and wasted months. read more
