This is long but needs to be seen because this is the kind of service you can expect to get - I'm 6 months pregnant and my mom was visiting me in Oceanside last week. When I went to take her to dinner I found I had a flat tire while in her hotel parking lot. I didn't have a spare tire so I called nearby Kennedy Towing. I took a few tries to reach someone at the "emergency" prompt (call kept getting disconnected) and when I did, a woman answered with a loud tv and kids in the background. I figured she's probably working from home during COVID, whatever.... (in hindsight the level of unprofessionalism should have tipped me off) I explained to the woman that I had a flat, and didn't have a spare so I needed a donut so I could drive home and my husband could deal with it the next day. She took down my location, contact, and credit card information, and said someone would be out in about 35 minutes - sounds good! After I hung up, I decided to call back and make it extra clear that I needed THEM to bring the spare just in case since it was getting late and so we didn't waste anybody's time unnecessarily. I called them back within 1 minute of hanging up and couldn't get through. I figured she was probably on the phone with the driver, so I gave it another 2 minutes and then I called back. **SCREEN SHOT OF THE CALL HISTORY ATTACHED** I reached the same woman exactly 3 minutes after we hung up and here's how the unbelievable conversation went: Me: "hey there we just spoke, I just wanted to make sure that I was super clear when I said I needed YOU guys to bring a donut because I don't have one" Her: "we don't do that, we only provide tow services" Me: "I'm so glad I called you back then! You can go ahead and cancel because I don't need a tow, I'll just figure it out with my husband" Her: "Ok I'm going to need your email so I can send you a receipt for the $50 cancelation fee" WHAT!? I couldn't believe my ears. What a way to handle a customer, it's literally been 3 minutes since we spoke - no one has gotten in their truck that fast to drive out and this was a misunderstanding. WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL ME THAT DURING OUR INIITAL CONVERSATION BEFORE TAKING MY CREDIT CARD!? She had ZERO empathy and a huge attitude about it and she COULDN'T WAIT to send that charge through as I saw the notification come through on my phone moments after we had hung up. I understand now that bringing a spare is not a typical service for a company to provide but it still doesn't make sense why she wouldn't mention that or at least ask for clarity during our initial call to make sure she understood my request (giving her the benefit of the doubt that it was a misunderstanding and not intentional....). Not to mention that NO SERVICE WAS PROVIDED AND NO ONE'S TIME WAS WASTED. I've been in the business of serving customers for 20 years and I literally cannot believe the way I was treated. I even got an automated text from the company about an hour later asking how my experience was to which I responded and no one ever responded nor reversed the charge. Why even ask??? This leads me to believe that the company supports this kind of attitude and behavior, especially because another reviewer left comments about what is probably the same woman in December and she still works there. I hate leaving negative reviews but the company owners need to be aware of the issue (assuming they care). I tried to call them today to speak with a manager before writing this but I connected with the same woman that answers for them and I refuse to speak with her. read more

I had the most AWFUL experience with the dispatcher name Melissa or Maritza!! This was the most unpleasant unprofessional ghetto mouth little girl!! As a business owner I am beside myself that someone would employ such a child!! this was a joke! An adult called me back to rectify the situation, but the experience with this company because of this employee was beyond my worst experience. when you are locked out of your vehicle and calling for help the last thing you would expect is to be treated and spoken to like my business is not important. read more

Kennedy Towing = poor service that will leave you stranded. Kennedy Towing hung up on me five times while I tried providing the correct roadside service address while stranded. After an hour of waiting, Kennedy Towing cancelled the assist without notifying me. There are many better alternatives. My employer has a fleet of 135+ company cars for managers/executives. None of which will ever do business with Kennedy Towing. read more

got a flat tire on the side of I5, called them and they told me 15-20 minutes. almost two hours later and they call and tell me it will be about another hour until a service man shows up and that it would cost anywhere between $150-350 from an original of $100. and they have no technological skills to help figure out location issues. read more

Zero Stars!Terrible. Waited 3 hours!!!!!!!! Called them today when my car started overheating. Just needed them to tow me 5 miles from Oceanside to the Chevy dealer in Carlsbad. They said it was going to be $225. I told them never mind, I'm not paying that for towing me 10 minutes down the road. The one positive is they were flexible on the price and we settled on $110. They said it would be 40 minutes for the truck to arrive. An hour later the truck hadn't shown up and I call them back to explain the situation. The lady on the phone says: "let me call the driver and find out where he's at. Then I'll call you back". I never get a call and about 20 minutes later I call back again. This time I get a different lady on the phone and I have to explain everything again. The lady apologizes and says she will call the tow truck driver and have him contact us with his location. The truck driver never calls us. Around 30 minutes later I call back again. Again it's a different lady and I have to explain everything all over and how I've been waiting all this time. At this point i'm beyond frustrated. I get put on hold while the lady calls the truck driver. After she talks to the driver I am told that the driver is still 20-30 minutes out. I would have just cancelled the tow but every other company I called was either unavailable or were close to an hour away. So I decided to keep waiting. While we were waiting my wife had called and talked to the company office and demanded further discount, which they agreed to. They said we had to talk to the driver. Eventually the driver does show up 3 hours after I first called. However he says that we have talk to the office about getting a discount. Eventually we settled on $90...overall bad service but customer service was ok. Never again! read more
