He is a wonderful surgeon, magical tiny hands, great bedside manner, takes time w/ the patient, answers all questions. When Dr. Koscso was showing me pics of my hardware and explaining my surgery he reminded me of a young child playing with an Erector Set. A classic metal construction toy invented by Alfred Carlton Gilbert (1884-1961) was a versatile American inventor, toy manufacturer, magician, and Olympic athlete. Dr. Koscso's excitement, enthusiasm and love for what he does definitely shines through. read more

Where do I begin? Do not go here as a new patient. This place can't handle the patients they have now. You will be waiting weeks, if not months for injections due to short staffing and the doctors all going on vacation at once. You have been warned! [[HIGHLIGHT]]No problem getting an appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once you walk in, you will see how there are too many patients and not enough staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff is friendly. I will give them that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First attempt at a nerve block injection. First appointment 3/10/26. MRI was ordered and done. 2nd appointment 3/27 and nerve block injection ordered. 4/6 called insurance. Nothing received from doctor. Called doctor and left message. Called again 4/15. Now the ball is finally moving. Injection scheduled 4/22. Had to wait for this date due to everyone on vacation. Almost 1 month for the injection. It gets better! Follow up visit 5/14. I was told I can get 3 injections in 6 months. Great! I was ordered my second injection. At this time, the doctor said I don't need to be seen again unless another injection or anything else comes up. Great!! During this time I have started PT and pain is pretty bad, so I'm using the pain medication. Waiting on the 2nd injection, I run out of pain medication on 6/12. Almost 1 month waiting for my injection. No return call. I have to wait to call again 24-48 hours. I call again on 6/17. I finally get a call back stating I need to see the doctor before I can get a refill! WHAT? If I got my 2nd injection in a timely manner, I probably wouldn't need the medication. The lady now calls to schedule my injection for 7/1. I asked if they could do any sooner since my insurance is rolling over and I have to pay deductibles. I told her to hold that spot in case she couldn't get anything sooner. Received a call today that there were no earlier appointments and the lady I spoke with yesterday booked up the 7/1 date. I now have to wait until 7/29 to get a back injection because yet again the doctors are on vacation. Now I have to pay my copay to see the doctor to get pain pills until my injection. Is this even legal??? After my treatment is completed, I will never set foot in this office again. This is not how you treat your patients. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but after multiple visits, I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, my experience with Kennedy White Orthopedic has been consistently disappointing. This was not a one time issue. I experienced the same problems during my initial consultation, pre-op appointment, and most recently. Each visit involved over an hour wait in the lobby, followed by additional waiting once brought back. When I finally saw the doctor, the interaction felt extremely rushed, with little eye contact or meaningful engagement. Equally concerning was the overall lack of professionalism from the staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was little to no acknowledgment upon arrival, minimal communication, and the general tone made me feel like I was inconveniencing them rather than being cared for as a patient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand that offices can get busy but basic respect, communication, and patient care should never be compromised.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a practice where you feel seen, heard, and valued as a patient, this was not my experience here. read more

TOTAL LIFE CHANGING NIGHTMARE. I had a deeply horrifying experience with Dr. Chin and his team throughout my spine diagnosis and surgery. Not only was he dismissive and condescending, stating "I know you're in pain I've heard it 31 times today," but he also mishandled my spine surgery, resulting in a significant hematoma, permanent nerve damage, missed fragment removal, and an urgent emergency surgery by a different surgeon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He and his team were reluctant to address this while I screamed in paralyzing pain for days on end after his first surgery and begged for help as the hematoma was forming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was so consistently unresponsive that when my mother finally spoke to someone she had to state "YOU WOULDN'T TREAT A DOG LIKE THIS!" before receiving attention.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What was supposed to be "an easy 45 min surgery" (microdiscectomy) has now turned into a debilitating 2 year nightmare filled with surgeries and an exceedingly high amount of spine epidurals to try and help with the nerve damage. After filing a formal complaint letter with Kennedy-White, Dr. Chin has since responded in letter form and refused to take any responsibility for himself and his team's gross misconduct, even writing that he believes the care that I received "met, if not exceeded the standard of care." DR. CHIN- IF THIS IS YOU AND YOUR TEAM'S STANDARD OF CARE YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! Your gross negligence is disgusting. It's so disheartening to see a medical professional refuse to take responsibility for such serious mistakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On top of that to "patient blame" me in your letter for my "misperception of comments" is such a low copout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You and I both know the truth of your words and actions, rather lack-there- of. Dr. Chin's public medical record shows that he has been successfully sued in the past for malpractice. It's only out of painful desperation that I scheduled an appointment with him- if I had known this prior I would have never agreed to see him. Turns out that after my surgery he was admittedly heading off to vacation so it seems he couldn't be bothered to address the urgency of my immense post-surgery pain. After a week of debilitating screaming pain, I ended up having to be rushed into Emergency surgery by a different surgeon to remove the giant hematoma that they discovered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After comparing notes, many patients at the Kennedy-White facility feel as though they are treated as mere commodities, crammed into the waiting room for painfully long wait times, subjected to an endless cycle of "shots" from "shot pushers" rather than receiving personalized, compassionate care from ethical doctors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Every visit the waiting room was grossly overcrowded with long wait times while patients suffered in discomfort and compared stories about their disappointing visits and lack of care. I was forced to wait around an hour and a half to two hours each visit while in tears in pain trying to sit or stand. This is only the tip of the ice burg regarding my horrifying experience. I'm sure Kennedy-White will reply to this with nothing short of excuses, denials, and patient blaming, just like in Dr. Chin's response letter (which was probably written by a lawyer) but trust me when I say that everything I have stated here is factual with medical and public records to back it all up. I still believe that the ethical thing to do would be to fairly compensate me for my medical bills and lost wages that occurred due to Dr. Chin's botched surgery. Unfortunately, it seems this is not an ethical practice. Once you sign your life away when you have no choice- either suffer or sign- they are not responsible for anything that happens to you. I am sharing my experience with Kennedy White Orthopedics and their billing process. When I arrived for my appointment, staff took me for X-rays before I had even finished completing my intake paperwork. I had already completed MRI and X-ray imaging at another facility, so I did not expect or request new imaging. Despite this, I was later billed for the X-rays, which were applied to my deductible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to address the issue, the billing department told me that a general consent form covered all procedures performed that day and that nothing could be adjusted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I found this disappointing because there was no clear communication or consent regarding the additional X-rays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Patients deserve transparency about what procedures are being done and what costs may be involved. I had a knee injury and saw Dr. Koscso. I got my knee infiltrated which did not help. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After a week I called and left a message for the nurse to call me back because I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. Crickets![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A week later I called again and was told to get an MRI.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After much calling and arranging I got the MRI and it has been about 3/4 weeks and never got a call back or any type of follow up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will not recommend this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Excellent experience at Kennedy-White.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr Klein is thoughtful and caring, listens to all questions, gives complete answers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Does not jump to invasive treatment. My entering complaint was occasional shoulder joint locking, with an incidental finding (from a Thoracic CT) of loose bodies in the joint. Dr Klein took x-rays, which did show multiple loose bodies and spurs, but also total loss of cartilage from the shoulder joint, with bone-on-bone contact and resulting abrasion of the bone surface. He said most people with this degree of joint degeneration would be in severe continuous pain, leading to total joint replacement. He said the loose bodies could be removed by arthroscopic surgery. However, because my bone-on-bone has not been painful (yet), he recommended against the procedure, because the act of intruding on the joint might change the joint dynamics, and could result in more pain than I started with. I was referred to 2 doctors, at compleatly different providers, by my primary. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took a long time and several calls to get through to Kennedy Ortho for an appt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They finally received my information, 2 wks after my referral.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They asked me really strange questions about my insurance (does it have the words "us health" on the back of the card)???[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know I have excellent insurance. I've had this insurance for 20 years and have never been asked these strange questions. At that point I decided my health is far to important to work with an office that can't even take an appointment properly. I called the other provider three days after the referral, no odd questions, immediate appt. I'm so glad I got ahold of them first! read more

Long wait times on phones. I went there for a second opinion. Dr. Talluri didn't seem to listen to my complaints. I had a fall about two months prior, and I have severe leg growing and knee pain. X-rays and MRI were provided from a previous doctor. I told him I was unable to sit for long periods of time. Unable to walk without a walker and pretty it was only comfortable way from me to lay in bed. I asked if he could provide a note to my employer, that I was unable to work due to the fact that I am unable to sit down. I have a sedentary job from home. He said, please call his assistant the following day, and she will fill out the paperwork for reduced workload, possibly with sedentary duties. Yeah, obviously obviously missed the fact that I said I could not sit down. I left a message for his assistant right after the appointment, and she called me back the following day. She advised me that their policy is to not fill out any disability paperwork unless surgery is performed. I find this totally ridiculous. Dr. Talluri told me surgery is not necessary. Physical therapy will hurt more than it will help and that it will just take time to heal. So I am at the point now where I am going to get a third opinion from another doctor to see if I can get the paperwork completed so I can be out of work until I heal. I am very disappointed in the lack of service at Kennedy White, and expected more from them. read more

Dr Klein is very knowledgeable and straightforward. That's where the niceties end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The office staff are gruff and almost rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr Klein's nurse is inefficient, doesn't return phone calls or emails and treats you as if she's doing you a favor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Taylor, his PA, is curt and dismissive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to speak to the office manager, I thought I had called Buckingham Palace. The operator refused to put me through to her and told me to email her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would highly suggest finding a different office for your orthopedic health. read more

If ur looking to be treated in a factory.. this is the place to come. 20 minutes on hold for an initial appt... 3 appts with nary an orthopedist laying eyes on me even once for a shattered shoulder... a week after the first appt and xrays until i was informed i had a triple fracture.. the p a read two of the 3 films instead of an orthopedist or radiologist.. and then 2 weeks before they managed to get the film available for me to pick up. Unbelievable!! PA very nice... but the practice is abominable!! Stay away!! read more

This is Deb Macchi. I called Kennedy White a few months ago to schedule a consult for hip surgery and waited on hold for 40 minutes. The next time I called, it was 3:30 pm, and at 4:30 pm (yes, I was on hold for an hour), an automated message came on saying the office was now closed. The funny thing (NOT!) is that the automated message you get whenever you call begins by telling you that they realize they are having a problem with wait times and are "working on it". Really? I think whoever was tasked with solving this issue is sound asleep at their desk. This is not rocket science; get more phones, hire more people. I was also told that because Dr. Stolarski is so busy, it is mostly those calling in to make an initial appointment with him that are causing the log jam. OK---how about giving Dr. Stolarski's patients a different extension and his own dedicated person to answer those calls (he does have a dedicated surgery scheduler and that's a good thing at least). I am sure, given that he is scheduling out to July, he could afford the measly hourly pay those poor people are getting. I can just imagine the abuse they take, call after call, from people waiting forever on hold. I sincerely feel sorry for them. Dr. Stolarski is, without a doubt, an excellent surgeon. That's great, as long as everything goes smoothly. If you have a complication, good luck getting in touch with the office. I am over it. I decided to have surgery with someone else and what an entirely different--and dignified-- experience it has been. read more

I have been going to Kennedy and White for five years. Dr. White operated on my right knee and next month he will be operating on my left knee. I disagree that it is a patient mill. They have excellent systems in place to get you through as efficiently as possible. You have your exrays taken there and it is so convenient. I had trouble getting through on the phone so I filled out an on line appointment request and they got back to me in two days. Dr. White has never rushed me, has always taken the time to fully explain as well as answer my questions. read more

I'm sure they are competent doctors....but they are nothing but a patient mill. Patients cannot get through on the telephone; you are raced in and out of there like it's a Beat the Clock competition; the doctors do not spend enough time with you (although there may be some that do spend enough time with their patients, but I've never seen one). The egos that are at work within this building are beyond comprehension, and that goes for most of their staff members as well. It bleeds from the top. They do have some nice support staff who try to be helpful to patients. Be sure to visit doctor's offices carefully before you commit and make sure you are comfortable with everyone you see and meet. Do not just take a recommendation from your primary care as gospel. It's highly likely that your primary care physician has never been to the doctors they recommend and if they have, they have visited as a doctor and not a member of the general population. We deserve better. And thank goodness, there are plenty of other orthopedic doctors to choose from in the Sarasota area. read more
