We arrived at the wrong building first but the water fountain there was beautiful. The interior of the correct location was beautiful and the glass window was pleasing yet the screen hid the beauty. The glass cases niche inside were beautiful. The coffee for guests was nice my husband appreciated that. The slide presentation was nice put on by her nephew. Overall I believe her daughter was pleased with her care for the service of her mother. As an attending person the service was beautiful. Walking into the facility the day of the event, the visitation/ gathering space was arranged beautifully with flowers and photos we had delivered the day before. At the 7th day I was given excuses on why the remains were not ready and the total time to get remains was 12 business days. It seems at this location, they have a book of excuses on why there is a delay. I made plans based upon their date of pickup to book a church and set up burial. When I asked to have death certificates overnighted me, I was given an excuse that the USPS would not deliver the next day so they would not mail to me. Their empathy in dealing with their delay was definitely off putting. Maybe one of the other locations are better and more compassionate.

It seems the new owners of Medford Peden Funeral Home have no info on how to run it. They just did…read moremy mother in laws funeral and we per in the smallest room with little light to see. The director did not offer any help when it cam time to have the family see her for the last time and we have over 30 people in a this tiny room to say good bye. You could barely see your hand in front of you. The Sound system was awful. They had no vehicle to transport the flowers to cemetery in, they were put in my sister in laws car, and one was left at funeral home, to be picked up by family member. I have never been to a funeral home and funeral where the people that worked there dressed so casually. The people that are supposedly running this place need to go to other funeral homes and see how to do their jobs appropriately . We should have investigated this funeral home before using them as it was not the same as when my father in law died. The place was dusty, Freezing cold. You cannot run a business like this by being cheap. I do not understand why we were not put in the room to the right that we had used for previous funerals for the size of our family . It is much bigger and would have allowed people to move easier and not be on top of each other. you get the lowest score possible.
