The staff is friendly & efficient.. They have been wonderful in providing the special foods and supplements that my dogs need at very reasonable prices. My dogs are treated as if they are the only patients of this office and after all, isn't that the way we all want our precious pets treated? Now all 3 of our dogs are patients of this office. Wait times are minimal and they also do home visits and are always available in an emergency, even at 1am with our adopted mill dog vomiting. Excellent advice always Thank you Dr. Heller & staff for taking such great care of our 3 Tervurens.

I heard him screaming at an employee to the point I asked another if they would like me to call 911, to which they mumbled "no that's okay he is always like this" He spoke down to ne and spoke as if he was the end-all, be -all of veterinarians, told ne that both my cat and MYSELF could "use another wall around the block" because we are both "unhealthy" - I am chubby but also I don't go to animal doctor to be critiqued on my weight. This nab thinks who the heck he is and, my cat did NIT get better after his treatment and I had to go somewhere else only to find he was misdiagnosed. Unless you want a man who is screaming at his staff, stinking like pot, insulting both you and your pet, I would pass on this one. I was so upset when I left and I cannot believe he has any good reviews.

The first time I brought my new puppy there I was very happy although I thought a bit pricey…read more I returned three times and was never addressed by name. What I found disturbing was that when asked what I planned to do for flea and tick prevention I Tom's them that I used seresto collars. Obviously I knew about the collars and had bought them in the past. They applied a collar and when I looked at my receipt noticed I was charged almost double for what I can purchase anywhere. I came home and ordered a collar for my second dog from petco, delivered the same day. When I inquired I was tons these products are counterfeited on retail. Puppy needs to be spayed and when I inquired about fee I was told they'd prepare an estimate, I had to call to get it, I thought really high and who ever gave me the estimate, listed items like presentation, hydration and monitoring as if they were separate items. They are actually part of every surgery either for a pet or myself. It does seem that the envelop is being pushed in financial terms here. I sought other recommendations and was quoted almost half the fee for spaying. As a senior in this economy I have to be careful about how I spend my money, I have never denied my pets any care they. Needed including cancer and diabetes care. Expensive but I'd never deny any if my pets life saving care, As conveniently located I can not continue to deal with this facility.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to your entire staff…read more My husband and I have visited many animal hospitals over the years, and your 24/7 facility is truly the best emergency animal hospital we have experienced. During our recent visit, I watched your team skillfully and attentively handle a wide range of situations--from a puppy who ate chocolate chip cookies to a dog with a bleeding nail--all while managing more critical cases in the back area. Dr. Ross was wonderful with our 14-year-old dog, who was experiencing "old dog syndrome." Having gone through this with his sister a few months ago, we felt deeply reassured by Dr. Ross's care and left confident that he will be feeling better in a few days. Thank you to everyone on your staff for showing such incredible compassion and care to every animal that comes through your doors.

Complete imbeciles and self righteous pompous asses. The service was horrific. My dog was ill and they completely neglected him and turned the other cheek. I can't even begin to describe how terrible and nasty they are. Truly the worst vets on Long Island. I repeat the worst!!!!! I waited 2 hours for absolutely nothing. No help from them just simply whatever. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere. These people will take advantage and rob yoy blind. I will probably press charges after this kind of Lowsy treatment. This was traumatic for my dog and myself. Entrusted his care to childish morons. They knew and comprehended less than a 4 year old. Total embarrassment. Please spare yourself the time and aggravation. Simply just go elsewhere. Veg er say they are the best. Clearly they have no clue. I asked for assistance and simply got aggravated. Pathetic! I would never take a pet or any animal there. Horrible.

I would give this vet NO STARS!!!!…read more I truly wish I had read the reviews before bringing my cat here. This was one of the most distressing veterinary experiences I have ever had. I brought my Ragdoll in because she was clearly not acting normal - she was in pain when picked up, unable to jump, and not using her back legs properly. I also explained that my other cat had attacked her multiple times over the past week and had ripped out a chunk of fur under her left ear. She was understandably anxious and nervous. Instead of approaching her calmly and compassionately, there was no visible effort to soothe or gently examine her. The doctor briefly felt her back, did not even examine the bald patch under her ear, and then walked out. Shortly after, a nurse returned and said the doctor wanted to prescribe pain medication and have us come back next week. I expressed concern that she had not been fully examined. I was then told the doctor was refusing to continue because he "didn't want to get hurt." I understand safety concerns, but handling anxious animals with care and professionalism is part of veterinary medicine. There was no attempt to properly assess her injuries or even discuss sedation or alternative approaches. When I requested X-rays due to her difficulty using her back legs, I was told they would not do them and that we would have to return another time. I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply disappointed. My cat was clearly in pain, and we received minimal evaluation and no real answers. If you are looking for thorough, compassionate care - especially for an anxious or injured pet - I would strongly encourage you to reconsider before coming here. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!!!!

Just terrible - take your pets anywhere else…read more This vet is so highly disorganized and negligent, it's very concerning! My mother and I took two pets here on the same day, both were almost killed. 1. One was coming in for a routine spay. I was originally told she would need a cone as females tend to lick their wounds, but when picked up they did not provide said cone after asking for it multiple times. The care instructions were to leave her in a 'cold, dark room for anesthesia to wear off'. I did so, and checked on her shortly after to find a BLOODY MASSACRE all over the room, she had chewed through her stitches and opened her wound! I had to take her for a second operation to an emergency vet the within two hours of bringing her home to have her stitched up. Sure enough, that vet always provides female felines with cones for this reason! We called the following day to notify the staff what happened which could have been avoided with a simple piece of plastic. We thought they would take a little responsibility for this terrible circumstance, but instead have avoided speaking with us altogether. In fact, he called the cops when my mom showed up to speak with him in person....The cop was so disgusted by this, he suggested we write this review. 2. The second cat was brought in with severe dehydration and funky urine odor. I suspected it was a UTI, they gave some fluids and said to let him rest in his crate despite me calling hysterical stating he was walking into walls.... he was in full kidney failure when they released him... Had I not gotten him to West Hills, he would have died... GO ELSEWHERE
