We got the rings resized & a broken stone in my wife's wedding ring replaced without problems. We also picked up a pair of earrings that matched jewelry purchased at their sister store. Me and The Hubs were visiting SF recently and stopped into this jewelry store while we were 'strolling' the plaza. In a nutshell, they had some very nice pieces. I was especially struck by the pieces with the green turquoise. Some of them were stunning. I briefly considered a couple of pieces, but they just weren't my (understated) style. Don't get me wrong - they were gorgeous. Just not my style. Or could they be?? The customer service was a bit odd, though. The man who showed us some of pieces and talked about the artists was knowledgeable, but seemed a bit irritated when I paused to come up with a comment about a certain piece. And I mean like a 10-15 second pause. I was trying to come up with a positive spin. Like I said - the pieces I was looking at were absolutely gorgeous, but mostly too ornate and dangly (like bracelets with charm-like dangles). I guess being in the plaza that they have lookey-loos most of the day. I wasn't necessarily a lookey-loo, though. A little more patience would have been nice. Frankly, I might have bought the 'dangly' green turquoise bracelet if the guy hadn't (essentially) been so impatient. read more

I am reluctantly writing this because I initially liked this business, but can't say that anymore. This business is very good at selling, but follow up is terrible. My husband and I shopped there while visiting. They made shopping a lot of fun and have a very nice selection of merchandise. Their prices are also good. However, they were supposed to send us appraisals the next week. They never did, and I have had to do follow up calls and emails at least 6 times. I got 2 out of 3 poorly done appraisals, one incomplete, and the other one completely wrong. I have not received the third one to this day. There's more to completing a sale than just selling. I purchased two bracelets December 25th from Kenny's. Frank helped and was just lovely. The next day I decided I did not really like my second bracelet so wanted to return it. The receipt says no refunds, but I was hoping that Frank would understand. I returned the next day and Frank said he would be happy to do the return. I left the bracelet with him and he said he would take care of it. We left the next day with no credit, hoping it would get done. Had not heard from him by Monday so called. He was so upset that he had forgotten as it was a busy holiday etc. He immediately put the credit thru and I am now wearing my other beautiful bracelet I purchased from him Frank could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The owner or manager was yelling and motioning at the young man helping us while we were standing there listening. Open that case! Let them pick something up! To start - I am a Santa Fe local who was warned not to shop In the stores around the plaza. I didn't listen and learned the hard way. I highly recommend you avoid this shop at all costs. I bought my wife's engagement ring at this shop. It has an Alaskan Gold quartz middle stone surrounded in a halo of small diamonds (For future reference it has 12 stones in total). It is an absolutely gorgeous ring. We quickly learned that the way the ring looks is no indication of the quality of the structure of the ring. The issue came with the service of the ring after purchase. Within two weeks six of the diamonds were loose to the point where we could turn them completely in their setting. We took it to them and they fixed the issue immediately by tightening the stones into their setting. Two weeks later they were loose again. We took it in again and they decided to add more gold to the setting. That worked for about a month and then they were loose again. The third time we took it in we asked to speak to the jeweler directly (who is apparently in "the back") and they refused. At that point I wasn't comfortable with such an expensive ring being so faulty and asked them for a refund. I know it's a jewelry store and refunds aren't really a thing but they sold me a faulty ring and a shop that seems reputable would acknowledge this (very incorrect). I was immediately met with hostility and the true colors of this shop came out. The rep we talked to said to me that he has his wife's ring tightened once a month and that is standard ring maintenance. Have you EVER known someone that does this? He talked to me like I was stupid. Then he said that replacement diamonds are covered in their "warranty". I knew he was trying to just get me out of the store so I asked for this in writing. This guy pulled out a business card and wrote "diamond replacements are covered" on the card, didn't sign it and handed it to me. They really took me for a fool. Here is the thing - I work in a customer facing customer service job. I know the look employees give to each other when a legitimate complaint that has happened before is in the store. You can see it on their face and the whispers they give each other. This is not the first time they have done this and it won't be the last. To end this - don't shop here. They prey on tourists who won't be able to be physically back in store for any kind of support. They have a great location in the heart of Santa Fe but they are in no way a local company. Responsible me wants to say this store is in no way legitimate and they prey on tourists. The real me says avoid these fucking cockroaches like the plague. read more

The night before, I checked out Kenny's and my eyes were drawn to a certain unusual gorgeous red opal ring. The next day I checked out several jewelery shops, but none began to compare to Kenny's in terms of selection, customer care, and kindness. I bought the ring I had locked in on at Kenny's and they were gracious, helpful, understanding (I needed to have the ring sized up and they gladly did it within 24 hours!). I came to this jewelry store with a friend on the evening of May 14th. She purchased a ring from them and I was looking to possibly buy one as well. I picked out a ring and immediately they said they would give it to me for 1/2 the marked price. So I was a little skeptical but thought we'll my friend just bought something and maybe they need sales for the night. I ended up buying a gold ring with turquoise and a pair of turquoise earrings that they also offered 50% off. We went back and forth about buying it and the second guy in the shop came over and said give it to her for the price she is asking. I was so thrilled and I love the ring it is very pretty. However, I got home and had my jeweler take a quick look at it and he said it is a synthetic blend of turquoise and worth hundreds of dollars less than what I paid! Here I was thinking I got a great deal and a nice piece of jewelry to remember the trip and instead I got ripped off with something that is not even worth the 50% discount! That makes sense of why they immediately offered it to me at such a low price. When they finally sent it it was the wrong size & the mounting was not the right size, & according to my Jeweler they did a sloppy job of soldering. After 2 weeks who wants to send it back again & see what they might do to it. Spent way to much money having it fixed so it would work with my stone. My wife and I purchased our 25th anniversary rings and absolutely love them. Only issue I have is the receipt. Their receipt does not have any descriptions of the rings to show to our insurance company for value in the case of loss. Therefore they will not cover the rings without this info. I have reached out multiple times for Descriptions of our rings and have not received any such information and is becoming very frustrating. We Hope this can be fixed very soon. read more
