This place is fantastic. I had scheduled an appointment for an alignment at another shop, only to be quoted a 2 hour wait unapologetically. I found this place by chance while in a time crunch, and I was so lucky I found this kens brake an alignment shop. Ricky (I believe that was his name- I'm terrible with names) immediately fit me in, acknowledging that I was on a time crunch. While he was busy and had upcoming appointments, he got my vehicle to where it was much better to give me peace of mind for the short term, and I came back in the next day to get the alignment dialed in as well as grease up my new ball joints and tie rods. He did a phenomenal job, and I will undoubtedly come back to this shop for any automotive services I may need in the future. read more

This is my second visit to this business and I must say I am very satisfied with the customer service and excellent work I have received. From the front desk to the mechanics and the owner, everyone was polite and very helpful. The first visit I came in to get a control arm replaced and they got me in and out within a good time frame and a reasonable price. This mf broke my engine i came in for a timing job and they didnt set it correctly. He messed up my whole engine after paying $900. I was forced to go to the dealer ship and scrap that car to buy aNEW ONE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. guys never answers the phone i have to come up there to get anyone to tell me whats taking so long with MY car after they charged me. DO NOT COME HERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME. READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS on google AND THEY'RE ALL TRUE. DO NOT BE FULLED BY THEIR OLDER POSITIVE REVIEWS. THEY ARE UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND THATS WHY THERE'S SO MANY RECENT BAD REVIEWS. My suggested time to come by for an alignment was 11am when i called 9am in the morning because there were 2 cars scheduled ahead of me. I arrived a little before 11am and was told there was 1 car still ahead of me but a alignment only takes approx. 30 minutes. ok so i decided to hang around and 2 hours later, I'm still waiting for my car to be worked on. So i decided to take a uber home since i was hungry and needed to use the rest room (their restrooms were out of order). They stated they would give me a call back but i didn't hear from them so I decided to follow up at 3pm. The person who picked up stated that they are still working on it and would give me a call once the car is ready. Then 15 minutes prior to 6pm and they close at 6 so i decided to come back to check on the car and what do you know.. my car is still sitting where i parked it and nothing has been done. The truth is honestly, my immediate reaction prior to coming back I was reading the reviews on how much of a nightmare it has been after the shop has worked on their vehicles that I'm sort of glad that they didn't touch my car. However, I just burned a whole Saturday because of this shop's games and I hope that no one else has to waste their time. this is just an assumption but it looks like they don't really care about the diversity in their customer. I could be wrong but it's just the energy i felt from them and it's very unfortunate because when I was inside the shop. I saw the history that this place had..You can tell that the previous owners really cared about the business and i even saw a old picture that this place used to be a Vandergriff shop. Let me just say this is a great place. Professional service and honest practices and prices. Ricky the owner is fabulous and really addresses the issue at hand. I feel like they shoot you straight and are honest about the repairs that are needed. I had a stuck caliper fixed and two brake pads and a rotor replaced Rosa and Ron are friendly and helpful as well. The waiting area and restroom are clean which many times is not the case at automotive repair shops. I will definitely return should I have other issues. When you have an older vehicle it's nice to have a good shop to use for repairs. Highly recommend. read more

I was visiting from out of town, and I noticed something funky with my brakes. I went to my Maps app and entered "brake repair," and this shop came up 2 1/2 miles away. I called, and Ricky answered right away, and told me to come on in. He was able to diagnose the problem right away, he located the part, and he told me it would be four hours for him to do the work. He finished in under four hours, and I was able to make it to my evening appointment. Ricky is pleasant, honest, hard-working, and he knows his cars. I live in Dallas... and when I have car troubles, I take my car all the way to Ken's Auto Parts in Irving. That should say a lot by itself. This isn't a place where you will get tricked into fixing things that aren't broken -- mostly being a girl, I've had places try to do that to me(Kwik Kar on Mockingbird in Dallas). Every time I've brought my car in -- the guys there have always been honest and straightforward with me. Definitely a good place to go. read more
