We purchased all of our appliances there for our new home and three new toilets there as well. It…read morewasn't until sometime after that the toilets were installed that we discovered that the toilet seat was disfigured. Upon trying to return the toilet seat today and request a new one either from the toilet set or one from their shelves, the associate at the front said that it was very unhygienic to put a toilet seat on her counter and that it wasn't even in a plastic bag. Since the toilet seat had not been used I did not feel like it was unhygienic. She said that they don't take returns on toilet seats and if the toilet was purchased beyond a return date that no returns would be permitted -- are you listening CONTRACTORS? To prove the seat was unused I licked the damn thing. Apparently proof isn't what the manager wants and ordered me out of the store, saying that it was vile to do that in front of his associate. He also said that if he never sees me again, he'd be most happy. I asked if he was serious and he replied, "please leave my store." There are other places to purchase hardware and construction items so don't buy from Mike. He's a jerk who might have been having a bad day and decided to refuse service to someone who has spent over $6,000 in one year in his store. BTW, their delivery service is shabby.

Anyway, I have never had bad service from them, the prices are reasonable, I have bought all my snow blowers, 2 ATV's and 3 snowmobiles from them. Any service issues are dealt with straight away and they don't overcharge you, warranty work is done quickly and they seem genuinely concerned that all your issues are dealt with. They will answer any and all of your questions and they always know you (by name) when you go in and they always at least say Hello. It's always a pleasant experience going in, whether to browse or buy, they are always friendly and helpful. Ask nicely, they may even deliver your new purchase for free in the Fredericton area.

She seen a jeep across the street that she has been wanting since she was a teenager. Now that were able to afford these things I didn't mind when she wanted to run across the street quick to check the price before we started on our excursion to purchase our summer toys. By the time we got back across the street (which wasn't all that long) they had our car towed to the police impound. Our car isn't a beater! It isn't an eye sore. Not that should matter what we choose to drive seeing how we're paying customers about to drop 10's of thousands of dollars at your store. It's a late model sport sedan with custom paint and rims. A red and silver Saturn ion type r ro be precise. Needless to say we wont be making a purchase from them in any way shape or form. Lost a day's wages because of it as well! Shame on you guys! If I could give u negative stars I absolutely would!

I will start with the fact that I prefer supporting small businesses like this hardware store. On…read morethe occasion we drive into Calais we always find a reason to stop at this store for hard to find items. Today was no different. As we waited in line an older gentleman completed his transaction and exited the store. It was obvious he was regular customer who knew cashier. As our items were being checked out the older gentleman returned to the register and started to engage in conversation with cashier and young man behind the counter about politics. He was obviously a member of some political committee in town as he was trying to recruit young man behind counter to join his party and get involved with politics. He said their party had to get younger people involved. The female cashier and the gentleman then both started throwing childish insults about other party and moaning about what a mess the country was in. I consider myself fairly middle of the road and have voted for both parties, but I was shocked by this behavior and felt like it was hostile because they had no idea who was standing in line. My guess is they just didn't care. Unfortunately this exchange will stick with me a while as it demonstrates how callous people have become around others. Probably find other places to shop in future.

bad manner/ bad customer service…read more downtown Fredericton is fairly busy. with the construction that is always going on and parking being scarss as is ( paid parking included ). I did pull into the 1 car parking lot making my car #2 at 3pm in the after noon on a Thursday for the lady SWEEPING salt off the entrence for her to have something to do with her paid hour of work. She informed me that I could not park there not even know what kind of arenas I had to run let alone what order I was going to do them in. Either way I obliged to her you can't just park there. yes your right. I can absolutely make my purchase before I go somewheres else. parking lot is absolutely empty and I even parked out of the way beside the car that was across the parking lot from the door entrance. After making a 10 dollar purchase this lady still insisted I could not leave my car on the EMPTY parking lot. Leaving me to say to the manager we can consider this 10 dollar purchase I I just made my parking fee or I can return this and go park my car somewhere else you are now arguing with a customer.. his response was that's my call. ok I'm not a paying customer and your still threading to tow my car? yes I understand you do not park at another place of business and just walk away I however need water softener salt which made that the perfect location to park my car and run the Arends I needs to run. it's 310 they close at 5 on a -23 winter day. I don't think my 1 car being across the parking lot was going to make or break them after I made a purchase. just bad manners. rude. and unfeiendly

This is one of those stores struggling to exist against the huge corporate stores of International…read moresize and/or Canadian corporate monopolies. This store had "everything" you could imagine and stocked here and there, up and down different isle. One of the odder purchases was flame coloring packets, which we thought was a dud because it didn't produce a rainbow of colors as suggested...and then 10 minutes after putting it in, the flames danced a blue and green. Would definitely stop back in to help this mom & pop type of business with everything.

If you need help you are better off going to SW Collins. I bought a trailer, had all the title and registration paperwork done in advance. I even had it paid for and had the receipt in my hand. It took me an hour to get out of there because customer service doesn't have a key to the file cabinet for the papers. The person who did couldn't be found. I was treated poorly because I insisted that they get me out of there in a timely fasion. You are better off going somewhere else

Went to chat and gave item number but turns out that item number applies to 16 different products! What? Gave model # but they didn't understand. Chat was worthless. I'd drive further if I knew where to buy but guess they only want to sell the expensive product. No, Home Depot didn't have what I wanted either unless I pay even more. Service really has gone to the dogs.
