Had one of the best date nights at Kent Station. My husband & I haven't been to the movies in years. I'm never comfy in the chairs. But the AMC theater has incredible recliners, and it was so enjoyable! We went to dinner at the RAM and my steak was perfect. Picked up GORGEOUS flowers from Buds & Blooms. They have a new math space where we learned to make origami birds and we finished our night with a treat from Cold Stone. I highly recommend Kent Station as a one-stop shop for a great night out! No parking issues. Not over-priced. Great variety of shops and experiences. Fun! read more

As a follow up from my review for Kent Station from 9 years ago, I'm here to give it a full five stars! Lots has changed in the last decade... Quite a few spots have shut down but that means quite a few new ones have opened! While I'm super bummed Trapper's isn't here anymore, they have awesome new additions like Dough Zone, Shibu Ramen, Mod, and more. Another highlight is the Santa photos that pop up every November. I have been going here for Santa photos since I was in high school with my family, and now it's my go-to every year for photos and Santa meet and greets for my kids. They always have the best Santas who are always so good with the kids and the photos always turn out great! This local hub is the best stop for shopping, movies, and dining! read more

What to say about Kent Station. It's an outdoor almost-mini and sort-of-strip-mall. It's serpentine layout is cool and has two central fireplace hangout areas that I sometimes wish were bigger (mostly when it's really chilly out). It has a diverse selection of shop's and entertainment, although we really only go to Trapper's Sushi, and sometimes Cold Stone or Cow Chip. One thing I love about KS (and why I will go out of my way to never go to Southcenter), is that because of it's small size, everything is way more accessible. Don't get me wrong, it certainly can get busy and packed, but it surprisingly has ample parking all around so you don't have to end up walking forever to get to where you're going! read more

I wish they had better lighting because the majority of the year it gets dark pretty early and the string lights (which are cute but not very functional since they barely light the main area) don't give much light in the evening or night. They have alot of parking and even a decent parking garage. They offer stores that appeal to a variety of age groups and needs. I usually end up at Panera or Chipotle if I'm trying to be quick but they have some really good casual dining options too such as Banyan Tree and The Ram (they offer the impossible burger yay). I haven't been to the AMC theater since covid but maybe now since theaters are operating again ill have to check out their seats. read more

This is a smallish open-air shopping area in the downtown area of Kent. Perfect for it's convenience with it being near the rail station. There are quite a few varying restaurants. Also perfect for entertainment as there is an AMC theater and a sports bar. It also has a branch of the Green River College here as well as the Social Security Office. I frequent Panera Bread for breakfast. Dilletante is convenient when I'm craving hot chocolate. Red's Wine Bar is a perfect hangout with my girlfriends. The RAM is great for groups. Banyan Tree and Trapper's Sushi for Asian. Johnny Rockets and wing stop for a quick stopover. Mama Stortinis has great happy hour. There are many more dining options that I haven't mentioned. You have varying random shops as well. Game Stop is one I frequent to fulfill my geeky needs. Road Runner Sports for sporting equipment. The LOFT and Zumiez for clothes. GNC, Buds N Blooms and many more.. oh and you can get your tan at Seattle Sun Tan while you're in the area. There's never a shortage of parking. You have the option of parking in the multi-level parking garage. There's parking in the front and the back as well. I've never had an issue with finding a spot. I think the city did a wonderful job of adding this open-air mall and making sure it's clean and not crime-ridden. I never feel like I'm unsafe walking on my own late at night to my car. read more

Had a few hours to burn after I landed in Sea-Tac and used Yelp! to find a place called Pizzeria Fondi, which had 4 1/2 Stars, and located in Kent Station. Having never been here before, we were lost and to make matters worse, there was a city-wide festival going on and we walked right into a Parade! It was hilarious..... Anyway, it turns out that the Pizza place we came all the way over to Kent for had closed 1 week ago! So, we stopped by RAM Brewery for lunch instead.....that was a good move, I'll write a separate review of RAM later. Kent Station reminds me a lot of Town Square back in Vegas, which is one of my favorite shopping areas. I like how Kent Station has a 'downtown' feel to it with outdoor shopping. I also spotted an outdoor public fireplace where you can sit fireside and hang out with your friends....cool! I wish we had something like that in Vegas. There are a ton of shops and restaurants to choose from, looks like fun. Will I return? If I'm in the area, you bet! read more

Kent Station represents the bulk of the chain businesses in the downtown Kent area. Some of the choices are pretty good for shopping and dining, but unfortunately, like many American malls, too many stores are empty. Perhaps the rents are not appropriate for the profits of the stores going into these locations. I'm sure automation will make all of these locations glorified kiosks some day, but for now it serves as a decent place to walk around and enjoy the weather. The Station spills out into the primary transit hub for the area, as well as opening up to all the neighboring local businesses. Kent station has a little something for everyone, but if you keep walking through the rest of downtown, you'll find a lot more options if Kent Station doesn't have it. Kent Station is also home to a GRCC campus, so be prepared for traffic and parking problems. Thankfully, they are putting more residential in walking distance to these areas, making it much more accessible to more people. read more

Lots of cool things to do around here. Easily a date night.. quick dinner and a movie. Just went and seen a movie at the theatre. I get a cool discount thru my job so i didnt wait in line to get tickets. My house is literally 10 blocks away so on the days i get off work and dont feel like cooking, i can swing down here to grab a bite to eat OR pick up something.You don't find yourself surrounded by a bunch of loud and obnoxious teens here, seems the young people are accompanied by an adult. Kent Station is a great place to shop, see a movie, eat, get a haircut, and walk around. There is an amazing AMC theater that is well taken care of, there are some delicious restaurants (The Ram and WingStop are my two favorites), and there are great shops like Loft, Bath & Body Works, and GameStop. We live close to Kent Station so we are here all the time walking our dog and hanging out, and we really are glad that Kent Station offers so many choices. read more

Much smaller outdoor shopping/entertainment area compared to similar places such as the Renton Landing. But it's nice. I'd say parking is limited, there's only one real main parking lot and then some random ones in front of stores that are hard to get most of the time. The parking garage is also limited in parking as there's a park and ride next to the Kent Station and some students can park there for their Green River CC bldg that's across from there. There's a variety of restaurants but not so much in the way of shopping. There's an AMC movie theater, so it's a great place to grab a bite to eat and catch a movie. read more

Kent station is a great place to visit, with a wide selection of shops, restaurants and entertainment. I'm not sure when this place was built out, but it's well maintained and kept clean. Today we came by to see a movie at the AMC, which is located in a he heart of the center. After the movie we returned to the car and my friends keys were missing. We were going crazy, back tracing our steps and running around in circles. Having no luck, we went back to the car and tried to figure out where they could be. I decided to call security (253) 218-9631 and inquire. Our savior Eric answered the phone, and actually found our keys. Wow, thank you Eric. We tried to tip him, but he declined and said that it was his job to do so. What almost turned out to be a dismal end to our day, ended in rejoice. Thanks again Eric! read more

Kent Station is a small, outdoor mall with a community college, movie theatre and some restaurants. I've been to the movies here a few times. The seats and sound don't compare to the better theatres further north, but it's an all right theatre. I haven't been to many places here yet. They don't have any high-end retailers, and the ones that are here aren't my style. The restaurants are all casual. I've been to one so far and wasn't impressed, but will check out others if they look good. There's a small parking garage with free parking and also a few parking lots. Minimal street parking is available too for 15 minutes only. Traffic can get a little crazy during rush hour around here. read more

An outdoor shopping mall in downtown Kent that helps make the area feel a little less ghetto. AMC is there to provide entertainment and there are many stores for both shopping and dinning. There's an outdoor fireplace for when the rain is at bay, which can be really nice in the early summer. There are HELLA restaurants here so go here if you're hungry but not for shopping. First of all, who shops at Zumiez anymore unless you really have a fucking Vans fetish and who shops at Bath & Body Works unless you're like 8 and wanna drench yourself in Japanese Cherry Blossom body mist and impress your friends? Cmon man, this shit is ridiculous. There are literally no stores here so do not expect a nice outdoor mall type place. There's like a Zumiez, a Claire's, and 5 granny stores. Honestly. I don't know why I'm so mad at Kent Station but I think it's the hype that they try and portray... Like I do enjoy the fact that I can go see a movie somewhere other than the sketchy sketchy Commons Mall (Federal Way) theater but then I find myself sprinting back to my car after a movie here at night. It still feels sketchy. And I don't know if I'm just weird or what but the feeling you get here is not entirely one I want to voluntarily feel. There may be lots of people standing outside the movie theater at night buying tickets but when you walk around the corner to the parking lot there is always NO ONE and it's dark and I'm like fuuuuuuuuck Idk tho I occasionally eat at Panera but the employees seem like straight assholes every time I'm there so eh. They have Mama Stortini's which is actually always crowded when I go and they're really nice there and having drinks & apps there always makes for a fun evening with my family. And they have a Coldstone but I haven't been there since I was like 12 and made a few bucks babysitting a kid so yeah I'm not sure what it's like. But they have a variety of restaurants here to fulfill any craving you have. I'm sure Kent Station is enjoying the extra business from Pokemon Go, but be prepared to be harassed by security even if you've eaten and shopped there. I asked politely if it was considered loitering and was given no answer just told to contact the property management. When I tried to be reasonable and say I was just asking he responded repeatedly with the same response multiple times and could not even respond graciously when wished a good night. I'm a decent adult, a paying customer, there's no reason to shoo me out because I'm on my phone. Kent Station isn't that great. I'll do my shopping and movie dates elsewhere in the future. read more

This is a pretty nice little shopping and dining area in the heart of downtown Kent. I go here fairly often as it is close to my boyfriend's house. They have a good selection of restaurants and stores. We probably frequent O Pho & Teriyaki, Chipotle, and See's Candies the most, but there are a ton of businesses here. There are counter and full services restaurants, a movie theatre, clothing stores, electronics stores, and a lot of other services like real estate, a branch of Green River Community College, etc. Right near by all of this you have the train and bus stations that will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go. We hopped a bus to the airport here once and it was super easy and convenient. Parking can be a bit of a pain during peak hours, but we've always managed to find a spot (or we just walked there). read more

Kent Station is such a cute little area. Shopping, restaurants, movie theater, close to the Showare Center so you can catch a Thunderbirds game. Some of the retail stores include: Bath & Body Works, Zumiez, Claires, Coldwater Creek, Christopher & Banks, GameStop, GMC, Seattle Sun Tan, and more! Restaurants include: Mama Stortinis (my favorite), Chipotle, Dukes Chowder, The Ram, Johnny Rockets, Panera Bread, and more! The AMC movie theater is located right in the center. There is also a cute little coffee shop with a outdoor fireplace that lots of people hang around. Gets really busy, especially on weekends or when there is a hockey game. There are parking lots surrounding, and also a large parking garage. Right near the train station and HWY 167, so pretty convenient location. read more

Kent's little outdoor shopping area. I think it has a lot more potential with better tenants... but maybe that's just me. The restaurant selection is great. Chipotle, Cal's, Duke's, Panera, a pita place, a Thai place, Mama Stortini's, and even a See's. The shopping, though? Meh. Not my bag. There's a Chico's, Claire's, Zumiez, PacSun, and Coldwater Creek. I suppose I don't have a superb suggestion on what to add... but when I come here, it's not for clothes. The AMC theater is great. Spacious and pretty clean. (Haha I remember when the movie theater was by KM!) I like the 3 touchscreen kiosks they have located by Johnny Rocket's. I go to school in Kirkland and work in Seattle and often take the bus/train up. It's really frustrating to be told that I can't park in the parking lot, even though the parking garage is full because I don't get there before 6:30am or after 4:30 pm. It's rough. All-in-all, it's a nice, centrally located spot that's family- and date-friendly and has a LITTLE something for everyone. read more

This is the southends version of The U Village. Not quite as upscale, but a good attempt. A few decent restaurants (Dukes, the RAM, Chipotle to name a few), movie theater and plenty of parking. The retail shops are lacking a bit, but glad to see Road Runner be one of them. Located across the street from the KJC which is a perfect walk for those who are serving jury duty. read more

This place has great potential just one problem...... The place is always crawling with junior high/high school students. I feel like I am back in high school again. They are everywhere. The Pro's 1. They have some great restaurants. I have eaten at most of them and I have no complaints. There is a wide variety and seems to have something for everyone. 2. I love the mix of the stores. There is some small not well known stores that are higher end and then some that are mainstream. They have good selections. 3. I love that you can get cold stone and sit out in front of the out door fireplace. SO cozy. The Cons 1. Parking is a nightmare. There is always a lot of cars and you search for a spot for what seems like hours. 2. Although its is an up and coming area there is still a lot of criminal activity and it seems to center close to here. 3. Like I said the kids seem to always be there. Kent Station is such a joke! I wouldn't even consider this place close to a shopping center. There are very few actual stores for shopping and what they do have are boring and don't really seem to appeal to a wide range of shoppers. I had to spend a lot of time in the Kent area during my recent stint at jury duty and man would I have loved to go shopping during my 2 hour lunches. There are only so many times I could visit the LOFT store. The only redeeming quality is the large selection of places to eat. There seems to be something for everyone. read more

I love this newer addition to the Kent area, it feels...good...safe and happy. I like that, and I think most others would too...lol. Anyways, one less star cuz I like to see some more 15 minute street parking, tho they do have a garage and a couple lots, but if you gotta jump out real quick for say...a burrito bowl at chipotle...it makes it a little difficult for a fast in and out. I am not the biggest fan of outside malls but that being said I think Kent station has a lot going for it! Though on the smaller side. An ok amount of parking. Though sometimes hard to find a spot during peek hours. Lots of dinning options from coffee and snacks to full dinner. A nice movie theater. Lots of shops for every price range. Wow, so funny to finally be writing a review for this place. Growing up in Kent, it was a big deal when this initially popped up here. Before it was just vast land. No apartments, no eateries, just a bank and a library. And then the justice center and Kent Commons Play Field (RIP so many softball and soccer memories!!) there really wasn't much going on. So when Kent Station was created and in came in AMC (before you had to go out to Southcenter) and Cow Chip (formerly only in Seattle) I remember being so excited. And as I move back to the area in a few weeks, I still am excited. Yes, a few clothing shops have been lost. Justice for Girls closed, as well as PacSun. Like other reviewers, I agree there should be a handful more clothing shops. Not a ton - I don't think Kent Station gets quite enough traffic to sustain too many of these establishments, since Kent itself isn't a ritzy, upscale place like Bellevue or Seattle. But some universal stores would be a safe bet, like American Eagle or Forever 21, that I believe would do well. Forever 21 is pretty big and probably wouldn't fit in the vacant areas though, so that is probably a pipe dream. Overall, come here if you want to get something to eat, take a walk, look at local places (historic Kent is right next door and the greenery shop is adorable) or see a movie. If you want to get clothes, go to Southcenter or the Outlet Malls, where they are made for that kind of shopping. read more

The Kent Station is a newer and nicer outdoor shopping area and mall in the Kent Area. It's located across the street from a County Couthouse, so if you're ever here for jury duty - it provides a nice mental escape from the drab government rooms. There aren't very many stores, and the restaurants that are there include the usual suspects like Chipotle, but there is also a really nice mix of independent restaurants as well. If you find yourself on your Jury Duty budget, though, don't expect to be able to afford lunch. The restaurants run closer to $13 per person for lunch and your $10/day allowance will leave you hungry for more. It's a nice area and is always well maintained. Very clean, and the main roads are well lit. It would be a really nice place to walk around in the summertime. read more

For Kent this is a very welcome addition. Could use some men's clothing stores but other than that it's great place for shopping, dining, and entertainment. I've read some of the complaints about the kids but I haven't seen any such issue when I go there. Also, I've never found parking to be a problem as there are multiple lots. I mean, c'mon what are you talking about? Just go to the garage or one of the other three parking lots and you should have no problem finding a spot. Sadly, it looks like some of the restaurants aren't making it. First it was the overpriced Zephyr, now it looks like Zao and Fondi are gone. Too bad. Hopefully it can continue to thrive and possibly get some welcome new additions. read more

I've been here three times so far and had a great time each visit. This is a great place for a date being that there are more than a few places to eat or be entertained at during the evenings. You can take a scroll on the strip while having ice cream or a good latte. It's a clean shopping center. (And the Wife reviews...) INTRO? I used to visit Kent Station all the time--around when they first opened. I still go there every now and then, just not as often. I'd actually give this place a 3.75, so a 4 is close enough :) FOOD? Well let's start off with dining! I've been to every dining available--except for Chipotle, and Dilettante Mocha & Espresso Cafe, if that's considered dining. I've just never been to a Chipotle ever..so it's not like i was completely displeased with its looks or whatnot; just never felt like having mexican when i visited i suppose but perhaps someday ill make a visit :) ANYWAYS, to move on. I think Kent Station offers a well mixture of flavors! You have pizza (pizzeria fondi), burgers and fries (johnny rockets), burgers and fries and BEER (the ram), seafood/soups (duke's chowder house), mexican food! (chipotle), asian food (zao's), breakfast & sandwiches (panera), and a litte more "upper class" food and wine(zephyrs). Now don't we forget the little 'treat shops' that we don't dine in, but still enjoy like, cow chip cookies (OH SO YUMMY!) see's candie's' chocolates, coffee (from that espresso cafe that i never tried), jamba juice, and ICE CREAM from cold stone! So food wise? A TOTAL PLUS! although if we were to get into SPECIFICS about each of the restaurants... ehh, ill just say zao's is worth passing up. they only have a few.. and very few dishes worth tasting. EXTREMELY salty food, and not a bit asian authentic. if you're gonna go, go for just an appetizer/dessert. their main dishes are *ugh.* zephyrs had some good flavors but their wooden seats do hurt your tush after sitting for a while (haha!) ENTERTAINMENT? AMC theaters most definitely was a nice add-on. they're comfy and well, you get to watch a movie! i dont see all too much difference from regal cinemas and AMC's (at least the ones in WA state), but AMCs are a little more expensive. SHOPPING? i feel like there's a limited number of shops for a limited number of audience. most of the shopping are clothing stores.. although they do have a bath & body works, and a gamestop. aside from that however, they have justice for girls, which of course, is for 'girls.' like, up to maybe age 12? along with claires, another 'girl' shop (of course, these are all in my opinion) then they have shops like chicos, cold water creek, and christopher & banks, which are all very 'older women' apparell shops. don't get me wrong, they're nice places w/ nice clothes.. just towards a more 'older women sophisticated' style :) and then you tack on pacsun, zumies, and journeys.. you get a certain 'punk/rock/emo' crew. if they want to make it a little more well-rounded, they should add a few baby/children clothing shops like childrens/gymboree and of course, the OTHER side of teenage clothing like aeropostale, and american eagle. i cant imagine a hollister/abercrombie sitting OUTSIDE of a mall, so i'll just leave those suggestions out. SERVICES? i havent used much of the services offered at kent station, but i do see them! they have a fedex store (the only service i have used), a tanning salon for all you tanners, a tmobile shop, a MAC store (not the makeup), and a few more that i just cant think of. i DO recall a BECU atm machine! so if you're a BECU member, that's a plus! :) oh! before i forget, Kent Station also has a fire place in front of 'the ram' which i don't know if i shoudl categorize it under "services" but it most definitely serves a purpose of keeping you warm! it does make the place look nicer too :) CLOSING STATEMENT? most def worth going. some places are pricer than others.. you really get a good variety here. i would mainly come here either just for dining, or watching a movie.. and maybe cookies/ice cream/smoothies afterwards. as for the shopping, it all depends if the stores i mentioned earlier fit your common shooping criterias! read more

Kent Station has really grown up the past few years. Since I work in Kent this place has become the after-work-happy hour spot. There is a great variety of restaurants and it isn't too hard to find some good Gluten Free options. I like that they tried to class up, basically, a strip mall. It seems like a fun place for all ages and in the summer I've seen concerts and other activities out in courtyard/main square. There is tons of parking, even a huge garage, which may also be parking for the Community College. read more
