I met Dr. Ortega at a health fair back in 2017. She saw me at a booth adjacent to her and noticed my incredibly crowded/crooked smile. She asked me if I wanted to pursue orthodontic treatment and I said I was actually going to set up an appointment with a doc that was local to me for metal braces. She said she would love to take a look at my case because it was one of the most interesting cases she had seen. Every time I look at my teeth in the mirror I am grateful that she approached me that day. She was confident that Invisalign would be the best choice for me as I was hesitant to do metal braces. All other orthodontists didn't even believe in Invisalign much less believe that my case would even be possible with it. After getting my wisdom teeth removed, I was ready to get my first mold done. Both health-wise and cosmetically, my teeth were in bad shape. I think I visited Dr. Ortega every 6 weeks for 4 years in order to follow up on it all. Every time I went in I can say she and her staff ran the best medical practice I ever went to. The amount of care she showed helped me understand every step of the way. Every time we hit a snag on treatment, her passion for her craft led her to figure out how we were going to proceed with the next step. Those many, many Invisalign mold redo's ensured that I finally was able to smile like a normal person after almost 20 years of never smiling for a single picture. Finally after 4 years I took off my last retainer and saw my final smile of the process and I thought it was perfect. Dr. Ortega, being the artist that she is, was still not content until she had put the finishing touches on her masterpiece. She reshaped some of my teeth with a few resin bonds and I was given a whitening treatment. Finally, she could put down her brush after her last stroke on her work of art. Had I had a normal case, I was sure I would have been done in 1.5 years at most. Now I have a deep respect for my teeth and oral health which would not have been possible had she not been one of the best medical practitioners I have had the pleasure to meet. If you need any dental work done, or even just a basic cleaning, you will never regret going to this practice.

His orthodontist recommended Dr. Ninh and team and they were only 1 of 2 dentists working on Saturday. The other was amazing and but I knew she stopped working emergency denistry on Saturdays. Dr. Ninh's care team squeezed us in so we could get on the road for vacation later that day. They called the day after to check on my son and a few months later M called me just to see how everything was going and in a brief chat, I became a new patient as well. Several years ago I had cancer and rather complicated issues with my health and teeth related to that - now in remission, many doctors didn't want to work with me. Dr. Ninh and his staff worked with me to line up what could be done and what would take more in-depth work or clearances. My (former) primary dentist would not even do a cleaning. The cleaning here was excellent and the hygienist is awesome! H and M in the front office are absolutely amazing. A, his dental surgical assistant is amazing, kind, and has a world of experience with patients and love of dentistry. They work to ensure I am comfortable, numb me thoroughly, worked to save my tooth, and restored function to my bite. Dr. Ninh is very knowledgeable and focuses to ensure a positive outcome that I am happy with. The next day H or M usually call to ensure everything is doing well and ask if I need to pass a message to Dr. Ninh and have him call. They make you feel welcome, ensure that you are comfortable, and work to make a positive experience out of the treatment process.

I opted to go with Invisalign and she walked me through the whole process so I understood all the pros and cons to that approach. Staff I love how the staff has taken the time to get to know me throughout the years. Big shout out to Mel who has been there from the very beginning. Always cheerful with a big smile on her face :) She did a great job calming me down when I've panicked during molding. That can't be easy trying to rationalize with an irrational adult haha. Scheduling Appointments Never have had an issue. Wednesday's they offer appointments as early as 7am and they have appointments over lunch so it makes it super convenient for those trying to maneuver around work hours. They also have an App that you can use to schedule appointments as well as an iPad at the front desk to make checking in super easy. Typically I'd book before I leave so I guaranteed the times I wanted. Wait Time I've always been shocked at how on schedule they are. I'm always in and out in the allotted time they gave me. So for quick routine check ups I've been averaging 10-20 minutes! Results I'm sooo happy with my end results. I just had my 6 month followup and couldn't be happier. Patient Appreciation This ones huge. Dr. Kortam's office goes above and beyond with customer satisfaction. They do spot lights to highlight patients personal successes like getting into college, offer contests throughout the year and they also do a customer appreciation event. This past year was at The Zone in Ashburn. There was pizza, cupcakes, prizes, and they gave coupons to the kids to play some arcade games. Again, I don't know a single doctor's office that has attempted to do anything like that. Overall I can't say more positive things about Dr. Kortam and her staff.
