This practice has three locations and we are in the Clarksburg one. There wasn't a Yelp for Clarksburg but it's all the same doctor. Just wanted to give this practice a 5star review. The location is great! Plenty of parking! The office staff here are super super super nice! I mean like you don't see customer service like this often nowadays. Adriana, Lauren and Sylvia are amazing! Adriana did my child's installation and my daughter loves her! Super sweet and gentle. Sylvia at the front desk? Love her!! Please don't let her leave! During the consultation the entire team and Dr. G was so informative and gave the best recommendations that will suit my child's needs. I shopped around three different places to get quotes and treatment recommendations but Dr. G got my business! I'm so happy for my child because I know putting on braces can be scary for most kids but this place is so welcoming and my child feels safe! If you have Guardian dental insurance this place is in network too. Thank you for taking care of Mariah! We were able to get the install the next day after the consultation. Dr. G has been my orthodontist for over 20 years-- I have had braces done at his office twice, both times with remarkable results. I go in every so often to have my retainers checked, and to replace retainers that I misplace. The office staff is very friendly, accommodating, and efficient-- it is easy to make/change appointments and pricing is competitive. Dr. G is professional, knowledgeable, and will work with you to get the results you're looking for to have beautiful, straight teeth. In general, the orthdontistry industry and the overall cosmetic-medical sciences is very oriented to the desires of the individual client... that said lots of promises/guarantees will be made in order to assuage the fears and egos of the clients. Whether things turn out well, depends on some factors, e.g., techniques, severity, compliance, complications, etc. I believe this practice to be for the most part very professional, flexible, trustworthy/reliable. And since orthodontics heavily rely on the young, Dr. Groisser's uses my fun gimmicks of rewards and prizes - which is understandable to get children to be compliant with dental braces hygiene. This is my personal experience: As an adult, my 2 front teeth had a wide gap between them. Roughly 10 years ago when I was 20 yrs old I did about 8-10 months of invisalign and it turned out satisfactory. However, Dr. Groisser had to adhere a metal wire on the back side of my front teeth and I had to wear retainer regularly... permanently. (I didn't expect that!) But as the years went by I used less and less frequently my retainer and eventually I lost the original and the spare. And the wire behind my teeth had fallen out a few times when i was living abroad for some years where then I had to get them re-adhered. Eventually earlier this year, the wire once again broke off and without a retainer either the gaps of my teeth opened up. 10 years after invisalign, I decided to do the traditional braces for 6-7 months. I was given a gracious discount as a repeat client. Now at the end of my treatment, I have to continue to wear retainer regularly to maintain the position of my teeth... permanently. This time no wire in the back of the 2 front teeth. I can't say I'm satisfied 100% ... with my entire experience I would say a 90% satisfaction. Ambience: clean, professional, modern contemporary offices in Gaithersburg, Clarksburg & Hagerstown. Dr. Groisser: man of good character, friendly and busy. Very busy, but he makes an effort to know the clients. Orthodontic techs: most of the time, they all were very professional, friendly and efficient in their work. *** However, on the appointment to remove the braces I had an unpleasant experience. The tech had to abrade away the adhesives on my teeth with metal tools. This tech used a lot of force that ended up chipping a couple of my teeth. At the time I was forced to see this egotistical disdainful orthodontist, my teeth were horrible, I struggled with anorexia and bulimia since I was 19 years old due to early childhood abuse and sexual abuse. The way this man looked at me when he saw my teeth, it was with such disgust and disdain every time I left there I wanted to kill myself. Every time I had to make an appointment because I had a permanent retainer, sometimes it was get loose. He treated me like I was a joke. I remember the very last time I saw him, he introduced me to one of his protégés, he said something like "she's a regular here haha" I was clearly quite anorexic at the time, looked like I was about to die, of course my teeth were horrible, and he had the audacity to make fun of me to his trainees, like I always felt like he talked down so much to me, he was far from nice to me and it was obviously because my teeth were horrible. Even though I've been used to this type of treatment from dentists for years, it doesn't make it right at all. People have horrible teeth for so many different reasons, and very few dentists understand the complexity and ultimate shameful horrible cause of eating disorders which for the vast mount of young girls with eating disorders it stems from early childhood trauma, abuse, severe bullying, and early childhood sexual abuse, and/or rape and sexual assault as an adult. And that is just the tip of the disease. So many young and old people develop eating disorders for so many different reasons, however it seems that the majority of people in the dentistry field don't even care to understand or try to educate themselves about this complex mental illness which makes me so sad and frustrated and invisible. No this orthodontist has is head so far up his a*** and he was so arrogant, I wanted to die every time I came from an appointment, he made me feel so bad, alone with many many other dentists, until I found a place that specialized only in full implants, they were not money hungry dentists who you never stopped paying, and the best part was they understood that people who needed specialized treatment were not bad, lazy, dirty, disgusting, nasty people, and they treated their patients with as much respect as anyone else. Just because you need specialized dental treatment, does not make you any less of a human being. I had a huge problem with the way this orthodontist treated me, unfortunately what are you supposed to say to someone who looks at you like you dont even deserve to treated because of your teeth, the assumption probably is this person doesn't brush or floss their teeth so they deserve to be looked down on and made to feel like scum. read more

Excellent team, the newest in technology and very affordable prices. Convenient locations with plenty of parking. My daughter needed braces a second time because her teeth moved for not wearing the retainers. She needed very little work. I visited other practices in the area for estimates and I was quoted outraged prices. Dr. Groisser office outbid the other quotes by half. Same treatment time and big savings to my pocket. I love this office and all of its staff. Our dental journey has been long and complicated(6+ years), and we are grateful to have been recommended to Dr. Gordon. Both my daughters had Surgery to expose buried canine teeth, and Dr. Gordon coordinated with the Oral surgeon for a smooth transition to adjust their braces. Recently, one of my daughters had underbite surgery and needs to coordinate with an Oral surgeon, which has been going on for several years. Dr. Gordon made this transition so smooth, adjusting flexible time to put surgical hooks just before Surgery. Office sent flowers when she was recovering, and I saw the smile on her face. Dr. Gordon always cares and emails us during the healing journey of my girl's recovery. Now we have to go through the same journey for another daughter next month. I went in for a consultation because with my current ortho, my face has changed negatively. He acted very surprised and said that it's the first time he's ever heard of anything like my case (just google it, it's very common) but later admitted that his patients that have seen changes actually like the muscle/fat loss in their faces because it makes them look skinnier. When I said I regretted getting braces he said well at least you don't look like this anymore, and made a mocking chipmunk face. He was insulting and rude and oddly defensive, even though he was not the one that did this to me. Worst consultation I received. read more

Without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Groisser to anyone. I take both of my children to him for their orthodontics and I can tell you with 100% certainty, he does great work, he treats his patients with respect, and he always goes the extra mile to make sure you get the best possible results. Both of my kids have went to other orthodontists in the past before we moved and they even say they would much rather go to Dr. Groisser than their previous orthodontists. He is meticulous, takes time to explain things to you and provides world class customer service.
