A big round of thanks to Dr. Stotz for treating Hermoine today. Our regular vet is sick with Covid. So, I asked my son where he takes his dog and he recommended Kentland's Veterinary Hospital. Hermoine had an abrasion on her back, which was getting worse, because she was licking it. Dr. Stotz was warm and welcoming. She has a great bedside manner with her patients. She communicates well with adults too and explained each step, as we went through the process. I really liked her. Hermoine got an antibiotic shot and some topical medication. The veterinary hospital is clean and full of pet decorations. They are in the process of adding more rooms. Healthcare is expensive, even for pets. But, as my mom would say," You get what you pay for." And, Hermoine was well taken care of. Thank you Dr. Stotz and the rest of the friendly staff at Kentland's Animal Hospital.

I begin going to Kentlands veterinary on 2010 for my baby Maxx when and when I got our second dog on 2021 it was no other place I will take my new baby. Dc. Handle was Maxx doctor till the day he cross the rainbow bridge last October at 16 years old and now that I have move to Frederick I will not change to another vet. They always treat us with kindness and respect and show support and interest on any issues we had . Sometimes is not about the money and how much you pay, is about the integrity and honesty you can get from someone that understands that little being that can't talk for it self and need the care to get better. Thank you for all this years of attention and care for my fur babies.

We have now been coming to Kentlands Veterinary Hospital for some time now and I thought it's a good occasion to write an updated review. My little one began having a hot spot on her chest and I had to make an appointment with an assumption that there probably won't be anything available until next week. Nope. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day with Dr Reitz and I trotted in and out of there in less than 10+ minutes. Did I tell you the appointment was completed before my actual appointment time with zero wait time? It's incredible how well coordinated this office is. From the front desk to the LVTs and DVMs you see here, it always blows my mind away every time. Why can't there be more veterinarian offices like this?!?! I also appreciate the zero fear approach the office takes. My younger beagle is very skittish and shy with strangers but she never has issues visiting this office. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate recommending this office to anyone.

We have taken our dog Chester to the Kentlands Veterinary team several times and they are amazing!! The doctors and staff are caring, efficient and very professional. They provided Chester with all the necessary sick and preventive care he needed. They didn't try to up charge for unnecessary stuff and they educated us on all our options and the risks and benefits of any procedures to help us make the most informed choice. We love the Kentlands Veterinary Hospital and highly recommend their services!!

Kentlands Veterinary Hospital is the best veterinary hospital I've ever been to. For most of my Pomeranian's (sadly short) life, I chose them over the vet hospital that took care of my dog as a puppy because they are so, so kind. My dog had many health issues, which scared me as a recent high school graduate because of the cost, but mainly because I cared for my dog and hated seeing him hurt. They went above and beyond for me. Here's just one example that stands out to me: I was in my kitchen and let my dog out, and a few minutes later, my dog was yelping in pain. I saw that he was trying to go to the bathroom, but something was wrong. I called the vet and told them what happened and that he was yelping in a way I've never heard before. They set me up for an appointment 30 minutes later. I had no car at the time, so I carried my dog 20 minutes into town, and they saw me immediately. They looked him over and gave me pain medication and a laxative for him, and then they saved his backside and cleaned him up. After paying the bill (which wasn't pricey considering what just happened), it was closing time and they offered me a ride home because I was only 8 minutes away if they drove me home. They didn't want me to walk 20 minutes back carrying my dog. I accepted the ride and years later, I'm still enterally grateful. A few years ago, I told them that my dog passed away from autoimmune anemia at my uncle's house after starting my first semester at college and the receptionist (I don't know her name) remembered me and my dog and mourned with me for a few minutes over the phone before stating she would do what needed to be done with his paperwork. I don't live in Maryland anymore and I don't have any pets at the moment, but the kindness that was shown to me and my dog at this veterinary hospital sticks with me to this day.

I arrived early and apologized for it when I came in--I would rather be early than late--but the receptionist seemed annoyed. I had previously explained that I didn't have my cat's records on hand, but that she has a history of chronic UTIs. I was told that without records, she would need a rabies vaccine, and I agreed to that without hesitation. The only documentation I was able to find between getting off work and going to the appointment was an email showing she was due for her vaccine about a month ago. I understand that this isn't official documentation, but they continued to emphasize that they needed her history. If she was going to get the shot regardless I don't understand why they had such an attitude about it. We were there for a completely unrelated emergency situation. The overall interaction came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. In an already stressful situation, I did not feel confident or comfortable with the level of care or communication. Any business with reception knows they make or break your business. I have only seen the vet their once before. When my mom was alive she took her cat there. I don't even know why i tired because his medical advice for her cat at the time was terrible. She clearly has FHS and they had No idea!!!! I will not be returning

My dog was carefully monitored for a year which confirmed his initial impression. The second experience was surgery for a double hernia and perianal fistula this August. For a dog who had just completed chemotherapy for lymphoma, it sounded like extensive surgery, bringing worry. Dr. Ganjei said, "This is going to be okay. I'm good." Said without arroagance, rather a calm registering of his long history of competence. His special skill being able to do this through non-invasive surgery eliminating a large abdominal incision, enabled my dog to have a quick recovery. Dr. Ganjei's attentiveness to pain management enabled m dog's recovery to be so comfortable. In addition to his surgical skills, he is a warm, wonderful human being whose human presence deeply enhances the medical care he offers. I am so relieved and grateful for what my dog and I received from him. I would recommend Dr. Ganjei whole-heartedly! We waited 30 minutes past our appointment time and no one came in to even do her initial vitals and weight. I understand emergencies happen, and people run behind, but my frustration came from the lack of communication. If someone simply let me know there would be a wait, or something was delaying the tech and doctor, I would have understood. After 30 minutes of waiting with no explanation, I told the front desk employee I would be leaving with my cat so she did not have to sit in the cage any longer. She apologized, but did not offer any explanation, or let me know that anyone would be in soon. It is frustrating to book an appointment and not have the service provider show up on time, especially when a pet is stressed about being there.

My coverman, the man who cared for me during my working years, and his wife have temporarily been taking care of their daughter's Chartreux cat. He is quite a guy, speaks five languages. We get along very well talking about various topics including politics. Anyway, he began coughing poor boy, and my coverman and his wife had to take him to the vet. After doing his due diligence here on Yelp, he read the reviews about this clinic, that is Dr. Hileman and her staff. He was impressed to they took my friend Katush there. Katush said he was treated very well. Everyone, doc, and staff liked him. He found Dr. Hileman very personable, with a caring bedside manner. Both she and her staff were very professional, helpful and made sure my coverman and his wife were also comfortable. X-rays and blood work were obtained. Turns out my little friend had pneumonia. He is taking antibiotics and seems to be doing well. As everyone knows vet bills can be expensive. You don't know what it has cost the Agency to care for me all these years. The clinic fees are appropriate. Katush was not guaged, that is overcharged for extra tests. In tact, only on x-ray view was taken. So, in summary, I would highly recommend you bring your pet here.

Regrettably, after my first female guinea pig that runs around and talks back to me died, I have little to no interest in the other girls that followed. I have one male who manages to have a cyst last summer, and Dr Hileman had to run a test. Everything came under control, and the pig is cleaned up tho a tad underweight. He performed dental surgery on my cat and there were no post-op issues. My cat was healthy and happy after the vet. The no-so-good? 1) One of the cats they let roam around had an eye infection, I was concerned the cat would spread it but the vets assistant took the cat away when a customer brought it to her attention. 2) If you don't ask enough questions, they'll surprise you with the cost of their services. This can be true of any service but I inquired about their grooming service and comprehensive wellness check. They said it would cost around $600 (because of anesthesia). When I picked him up from his appointment they charged me $1,900!! The vet performed 7 tooth extractions and did not even call to let me know. The vet said to me, "I didn't think money was an issue" Because my pet insurance reimburses me 80%. But I still had to pay up front. I was surprised each tooth cost about $50-$75 and wish they'd been more transparent. They took off $200 to make me "feel better". ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS and brush your cats coat and teeth so you don't need a vet for that. My lessons have been learned! 3) Another thing to keep in mind. The vet performed the surgery well, Koda had no post-op issues at all! However, because the vet has to stand while operating, he charges more. This is understandable given the vet seems to limp when they walk but again they didn't let me know that beforehand. I would trust them to perform an excellent surgery but ask as many questions about what to expect before you commit.
