This owner of this business will do anything and everything to get you to buy one of these sheds…read more After all the promises to build up the base on my hill 18-24 inches so the mud would not run off into the side of the shed... and after daily concerns expressed about this not being done as promised ( and being told daily that he would take care of it and not to worry), the shed was erected and less than one week later the mud had already begun to gather and rest at the base of the shed splashing up as high as 6 feet on the wall on the side facing the hill. I was so desperate to get him to do this as promised because $4500. is a lot of money to someone living on a fixed income. I even wrote him a long glowing review in the hopes it would encourage him to fix the things as he promised. He just didn't care and kept turning the fault on me and my son. So if you happen to see the review I wrote... know that it is false and I wrote him a cease and desist letter telling him he was not able to use that review. I even offered to pay an additional $1,000 to get him to do it right as he had promised so many times. In the end he told me I was his worst customer and he would not fix it. He also states the rock base becomes like concrete once it is wet. I have had this shed for months now and the rock base (which is only on the one side) keeps sliding down the hill and I have to keep raking it back up. I had to pay a separate party $1800.00 to cut away the ground and build a retaining wall of blocks to prevent more damage. The shed also leaked in two places. When I showed this to the owner of Iowa Sheds, he told me it looked like I had placed a bucket of water on one of the spots because the soaked spot was round. Unbelievable! Do NOT do business with this company. The man is so desperate to make a sale because he lives in his office building because he cannot afford to rent a place to live. He is well spoken in the beginning during the sale. After the money was handed over, he began expressing his religious, political and racist views. He hates our president, stated he feels a woman's place is in the home, expressed his opinion about how gay and lesbian couples should not be allowed to marry, etc. It is okay to have these opinions and feelings. It is NOT okay to express them to your customers. Very unprofessional ! The shed itself would be a good one if it was actually made out of all the materials he claimed, did not leak, 70% was not sitting directly on the muddy ground and if it had the promised 18"- 24" base on both sides. We had a pair of vehicles we needed to get rid of. Usually, I try to be considerate of other…read morepeople's time. We ended up having to take our daughter to the hospital over the weekend, and were there until about 4:00 AM. Probably because of that, I totally forgot CC Recycling was coming for the cars monday morning. I had one vehicle in the garage with only 3 tires on it (2 of which were flat) and another vehicle blocking that one into the garage. I assumed I could get the one vehicle ready to go while the other was being hooked up for the tow, but I totally misjudged how long it would take. Kevin from CC Recycling was incredibly helpful, and patient, while I did the bare minimum I needed to do to make it possible for him to tow both vehicles. I highly recommend working with CC Recycling!
