I would NOT return. Food: meh Service: started okay and then it got bombed Atmosphere: okay Price: don't even bother... The ramen was super mediocre - broth was not rich, meat felt cheap, bamboo shoots tasted weird and the noodles were... ok. To my surprise, this shop isn't Japanese owned so the visit didn't feel authentic. Traditionally, you get greeted but forget this place. In addition, after my meal, I asked for the bill and the owner asked me to pay without allowing me to see what was billed - told me that I couldn't see the bill unless I paid first, like, wtf??? I asked if the bill included credit card fees, and he didn't share that info, which is now illegal to withhold that info. AND this fkr automatically included tips without my consent. In all honestly, I thought I'd come back if I ever desperately crave for ramen regardless of its mediocrity, but fk that! COVID REVIEW* FOR PICK UP Our orders: Tan Tan Men & Tonkotsu Ramen Pros + Food: is thoroughly amazing. Nuff said. + Location: was pretty busy. Seems to be a poppin' part of town. The street parking gets snatched up pretty quick. Cons - Online presence: leaves a lot to be desired. At least I was able to find their phone number and address, I guess. I was super excited to see that Kenzo Ramen opened up a franchise in the St Catherines/Niagara region. I have many fond memories of dining in their DT Toronto location. This was the most disappointing meal I have ordered in a long time. Where to even start. We placed an order via Skip the dishes, and made notes asking for allergens to be removed. However, they weren't removed, and two of our items were completely incorrect. The item we ordered were; 2 x Tonkotsu ramen 2 x chicken onigiri 1 x Shio Ramen All of the ramens were ordered and payed to receive the added veggie option, this amounted to a pile of chopped cabbage, and nothing more. Not worth the added $2 fee. The tonkotsu ramens were very bland and not even hot. The noddles were stuck together, like they were prepackaged several days in advance. As well, the pork shoulder and chicken were rubbery and stale tasting. These two soups are the ones that had noted allergies to seafood, and it was requested that the Naruto maki be removed to avoid spoiling the whole dish due to cross contamination. However, upon arriving home with the order we discovered that the maki had still been included, meaning the dish could not be eaten by the person who originally ordered it. The same people who order the tonkotsu also ordered the chicken onigiri, however we received the tuna version instead, again making them inedible. Not to mention that they were extremely stale and bland tasting. The only item that was correct was close to begin correct was the Shio Ramen. However it had the same issues as the other soups and I according to my sister who consumed it said "... the broth tasted like luke warm dish water..." being very disappointing to what should have been a delicious meal. I am very disappointed by this whole meal and order. I have eaten at the kenzo locations in Toronto and this place should not bare the same name. I will not be returning to eat or order from this location again. Thankfully, having ordered via skip, I was able to receive at least a 50% refund. read more

Discovered this little gem while taking a stroll in Downtown St Catherine's trying enjoy the last days of summer. I saw the specials of the days in the window by glance. Spicy Rice Saboro $3.50 ... all this strolling made me famished... I saw spicy ... I saw 3,50 ... I'm all in! It's a small place with a few tables with a very ramen house vibe. Of coarse C19 is in effect so take out it is. I park myself on a street bench and take a bite... I'm set back by the flavor burst of what is like a dan dan chili over rice. Superb! $3,50 no brainer! I'm anxiously waiting to go back to try the ramen if it's as good as this I can recommend this for everyone to try! 4 yums read more

Kenzo Ramen changed my life. I had always believed that ramen was the insipid bag of dehydrated noodles from the supermarket, but I was so wrong! My Ramen had a garlic/pork bone broth and was absolutely delicious. The gyoza were the best dumplings that I have ever tasted. The portions were ample and the service was great. Please note that the toilets in this location were in the basement and did not appear to be accessible to people who do it navigate stairs well. read more

Our first time at Kenzo. We really enjoyed our meal here. Hot bowl of Ramen, perfect for a cold winter weather.

Ramen was okay soup wasnt as thick as i was hoping itd be (wasnt thick at all). They have lunch specials which was nice mine came with gyoza and soda or tea. Server forgot my soda when it wasnt that busy in there yet but it was okay. Fried chicken was good but wish the sauce was better! read more

I went for lunch today, had the Black Tonkotsu. The pork was very tender and tasty, I thought the soup was quite nice and rich and noodles were clearly homemade, nice and chewy. The service was a little rough around the edges, but they only had one waitress and its a small place. I would go back! read more

Too far from being authentic. Watery soup. Maybe they're making it from some soup mix. Katsu-don was horrible. I think none of their chefs have eaten the real Katsu-don themselves. I wouldn't recommend this place. Go to authentic places such as Taki or Yukiguni. read more

Service and food are terrible. Ordered Tonkatsu and the batter was too thick and miso soup came with the meal was lukewarm and sweet. Never had miso soup that was olily and sweet. Also, when I was about to pay for the bill, the server made a mistake with items on the separate bills. She told me I had to pay for my friend's dish which was more expensive because he paid for my dish. At first I didn't understand what she meant by that. She explained again and told me she made a mistake and because of that I have to pay the differences. When I looked at her because it didn't make sense, she then asked me if I'm not ok to pay the differences, she will redo the bills. At this point, I couldn't believe how rude she was to make me pay for the mistake she made and wanted to leave. I just paid extra for her mistake. For people who haven't had authentic Japanese food, I hope this isn't their first experience because it doesn't taste like Japanese at all. :( Everything was watery and flavourless, excess oil on food was gross, even simple dishes like onigiri (it's like a Japanese comfort food) had stale rice and sparse filling. Complete waste of money. I paid $12.50 for a lump of cold congealed noodles, cold bland greasy "gravy" and cold tofu chunks. Looks as terrible as it tastes. This Kenzo location is terrible. Meat in the ramen was room temperature. Broth had no flavour at all. Dumplings coated in a layer of fryer oil on arrival. read more
