This was a spot we stopped for a quick lunch. Each table is private with curtains. The menu was pretty extensive. We got the pho and a few rolls. The avocado roll was great. Service was great. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but it's a nice spot if you need a quick bite

This review is for take out... We ordered and food was fast. Place was nice. Nothing crazy. We ordered shoyu ramen, tonkatsu Ramen, eggrolls, and fried oysters. Both ramens were good. Pork had a lot of flavor. Eggrolls were meh and the oyster were ok. The packaging for the out was a bit odd. The ramen comes in one of those tin take away circle trays. From where we come from it comes in a microwave bowl. Wish the oysters were topped with a sauce. It makes them soggy. The sauce should really come on the side. The eggrolls didn't have much flavor. Even with the sauce it was missing something. Definitely forgettable.

Walking into the restaurant, it's not too busy around 5:00. Decorations are homey and there are nice booths with curtains for privacy. Calm environment with instrumental music. Service is nothing special but they were nice. Food came IMMEDIATELY like literally while we were still ordering. However, the food quality reflected off the time it arrived. Nothing tasted fresh (except sashimi). Calamari was a little tough to chew and had little breading. Sushi was thick, not fresh, and didn't have much flavor. The tempura texture in the sushi tasted like the refrigerated ones you'd find in grocery stores. Overall, we didn't care too much for this place. However, if you are looking for fast service without anything fancy or high quality, this is a good place.

We had come here on a Saturday evening at around 6:00 pm for dinner. The restaurant itself was quite small however, it was quaint. We had asked to sit in a booth with a curtain as we had both children, and we wanted some privacy. When we had sat down, we were given menus to choose our items. I had settled on the salmon pizza, while my daughter had the chicken katsu. For my son and husband, they had ordered the ramen noodles, which came in two big bowls. All of the food tasted good, and it came quickly. The ingredients were fresh, and the portion sizes were large, with decorative features on each food item. We didn't even eat everything, and had to take some of the food away for the next day. The service was on-par, as the server came to check on us a few times while we were dining. The parking was a tad tight, and the street light outside of the restaurant didn't work well, resulting in us having to wait a long time in the parking lot to leave. Overall, a nice place for dinner with the family on a Saturday evening.

Excellent, fresh food with profrssional and friendly wait staff. The Tonkotsu ramen was out of this world. It was full of textures and had an amazing depth of flavor. The sushi was fresh and flavorful.

Honestly this is a hidden gem, all the restaurants on Lundy's lane were sooo busy with super long waits so we stumbled on this place and thank goodness, sushi was so fresh and great priced. I would come back for sure. The atmosphere is super cute with your own little space and the wait staff was really top notch. Enjoyed our meal greatly!

Taku was our choice for our first night on vacation in Niagara. The experience was not the best. It was a bit awkward entering the restaurant and waiting to be seated. Eventually, our party of 5 was seated at a room in the back that had a curtain. I kinda liked that idea to focus on just conversations with your group, but the table next to us was extremely loud and we could hear everything they were saying. I'm not sure if this was just this side of the restaurant or the entire restaurant, but there was a strong odor of bleach. Bleach is not a pleasing smell when you are trying to enjoy dinner. It was very off-putting. I ordered the salmon lover's combo. The sushi was fine. Okay quality in my opinion. I think opting for takeout would've suited us much better. The service was really lacking. One of our party did not receive their order until the rest of the party was nearly done. There was no "it will be right out" or anything like that. Our server never came to check on how we were doing. We had to walk to the front to pay our bill. If I ever find my way back to the area, I'd skip on trying again.

This was an unexpected gem that we came across. We were looking for something warm on this cool night. Rose was the server and she was beyond amazing!! The customer service and food quality and taste were both top notch. I ordered the tonkatsu Ramen, which the taste was by far one of the best I've had. I also ordered the sashimi assorted and was able to customize it to just have a little bit more salmon, which is my preference, and the chef was more than willing to help with that. I will definitely be back next time I am in Niagara Falls. It's super close to Niagara Falls too!

I did not love my experience at this location. It took a while for us to be seated and when we were , our table smelled strongly of bleach. The sushi I had was just ok. It took a while for one in our party to receive their order (In a party of 5). We had finished eating when they received their teriyaki chicken. When the table behind us left, there was more of the bleach smell when they wiped down the table. It was not a pleasant smell when eating. Overall, just ok - I do not plan on returning.

Just discovered this Japanese sushi & Ramen place. Looks like they just opened. The staffs seem a bit out of practice, but they are very perceptive and picks up clues of what their guests needs. I commented that a can of Perrier is too small and proceeded to add a can of Sapporo. They picked it up and even gave me one more can of Perrier and a bottle of water. That is sharp! They are so nice. I ordered pick up and needed to wait about 15 minutes for the food. They were ready a few minutes early, and they brought the food out to the car for me without me asking. That really enhanced my experience at Taku Sushi & Ramen. Their food tastes good. So I think they have good potential to do well. I am rooting from them.

I don't understand why this restaurant has 3.7 stars. The food was absolutely delicious!! They gave us our own private space, had amazing staff and our table was set beautifully. I 100% recommend eating at this restaurant and will definitely come again!

New Style Sashimi ( Salmon), yummy!!

Excellent little place we found on vacation. Everything was fresh. Shrimp tempura was exactly how it was supposed to be cooked.

After doing a Google search, we decided this one looked promising and the distance looked reasonable for walking. Well, it is quite an uphill walk from the Queen Victoria WEGO stop. About 20 minutes. Luckily, for getting back down, we noticed a WEGO stop on the blue line at the casino/hotel that was just a block away. My older daughter the dan dan ramen. Flavorful and spicy. My picky daughter ordered the chicken noodle soup and she finished most of it (which is saying a lot for my picky child). It's a good dish for someone who wants a lighter mild flavor. I ordered the curry crispy chicken, which was served with rice and soft boiled egg. The chicken was tender with a crisp outer breading, with curry sauce added at the end so that the chicken was still crispy and not soggy. All in all, a satisfying lunch. Our meal total was a little less than $60 CAN before tip. Side note: bathroom is clean. When I asked my older daughter what her favorite thing was about our trip to Niagara Falls, she said the food!

Technically they had one left and we let our friend have it, but close enough. We ordered the galbi again. The meat is still very good, and probably the best thing about the restaurant. If I were only rating the galbi, it would be a 5. However, I had issues with both the banchan and the tea this year, and very slow service. The tea we got served first was barely tea. We couldn't tell by looking at it if it had ever seen a tea bag or just waved at one in passing, and due to the unfortunate language barrier, it was hard to explain to the server what the problem was. I like my tea strong, but at least to be able to see it and taste it. She eventually brought us more, and it was still fairly weak but this time there was a tea bag in there so we let it steep awhile. What it was though was nuclear heat wise; even after letting it steep awhile I burned my tongue. Yikes. The banchan were very lackluster. The cabbage kimchi was very standard but not standout, but the others ranged from mediocre to blah. There were underseasoned cucumbers, lightly boiled broccoli with a drizzle of (I kid you not) thousand island dressing, and mostly tasteless black beans. No radish, bean sprouts, fish cake, seaweed or other staple banchan. When we arrived, it was 5:30 pm and no other customers were present. Despite that, it took several minutes for them to come out of the back to greet us, and after we ordered a very long time to get food and tea (which we had to return...) As someone who lives in an area with plentiful Korean food, and who has learned to cook a lot of it in recent years, aside from the galbi it really was just "ok" and will probably fall out of our rotation when visiting the area.

Japanese is usually one of the meals we head out for and I decided to try Michinoku for lunch as I noticed it across the street after shopping at Commisso's the previous night. Located on the corner of a small strip plaza the restaurant is clean and modern. They had many specials which I think are a good thing at any restaurant. Greeted by a friendly server who seated us at a table for 4 right at the front of the restaurant. We ordered Octopus Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki and Tonkatsu lunch specials, and Spider Rolls. The 2 specials came with an eggplant appetizer, edamame, miso soup, and green salad. These were all great and the salad dressing was very good. I had the pork cutlet which was a relatively thick piece of pork with a nice breading that was light and not greasy. The octopus was nicely breaded, cooked well, not too chewy. The spider rolls were ok but I've had better. The green tea was nice and water for my youngest daughter was served in a small plastic cup. I love little extras like this. All of the food was served on very nice Japanese dinnerware, unlike the melamine stuff you normally see at other places. Overall, service was really good, the server was very attentive and prices are fair, even considering it's Niagara Falls. This will be our new Japanese joint the next time we're back in town!
