The food and service is always great here. Definitely plenty of options on the dinner menu that's worth opting for at lunch. Was able to visit just before the lockdown in December and they're well set up with social distancing measures.

This is one of the best AYCE sushi I have been too. On our way back from Niagara, we made a visit to this location as the Niagara location was fully booked. The food were all exceptional and so was our waiter, he ensured we were fully looked after through out the evening. Some recommendations are the sizzling steak cubes, Basa fish filets, rock shrimps, all the dragon rolls, torched sushi (amazing).....and the endless dessert options. Tip: street parking or at the library right behind the restaurant

Stopped in after a long drive into town. Believe it or not the restaurant next door is maybe also owned by the same guy??? We were seated very fast and we asked for seating to sit next to each other than across and got a window seat. The ordering was similar to any tablet experience. The menus did have items other places in GTA did not and so we found the overall experience refreshing. Soy sauce is served in a corked reusable jar and the orders came in pretty fast about 10min wait. It was literally at the table after one person went to wash their hands. The odd fried food seem to have a perfect fry. The sashimi was cut thick and presented nicely. The one thing they dont know how to do here are rolls. The rolls were made with over soggy rice rolled with a high ratio of rice to filling and the presentation left the feature item...well sadly unfeatured. For example the sider roll made with soft crab, the feature was the rice. For price point, the meal was just over 30$ per person for weekend rate. The menu did not have any new features-in fact it had fewer features as deep fried ice cream was only served Mon to Thurs, not on the more expensive weekend experience. This location did not have a cash rate Great selection of desserts, featuring coconut, green tea, red bean and mango. I found the red bean was flavorless , the coconut is just regular coconut not jellied coconut. Mango was Chapman flavour. There was also premade mousse and tiramisu. The service was good, the washroom was clean. The one criticism I would have is as a visitor, I really hoped yo stimulate the local economy; unfortunately many of the employees were not even local to St Catharines--rather Toronto. So I felt like I was feeding the wallet of a Torontonian; rather than a local.

Desserts! The mango mousse was incredible!

This was our first time going to Wind at this location. Reservations were easy to make. Upon arrival, we drove around for a bit, not understanding if there was parking. It seemed everything was either for other private businesses or the library. We were told by another person that after six p.m., we were allowed to use the library parking lot. Obviously, the restaurant says "Wind" largely at the very front, but since we walked up to the restaurant from the back, there was no visible signage (not even around the door). We saw Chinese characters and hoped for the best. That detail seems like one of those small things you never notice until it's not there. When we entered, the hostess seemed readily expecting us. Our waitress came and took our drink orders, set up the tablet, and asked us about allergies. She came back promptly, but my daughter never received her water. I didn't push it, because she doesn't drink much during dinner, and my wife shared hers. One less plastic cup. The food started coming. Everything was pretty good. The sashimi was great. The kids at the table seemed to really enjoy the dumplings. My three-year-old was in love with the squid "lollipop!" The eel was very good. The menu deviates from the Lundy Lane location. Alas, we thought it would be mostly the same. I feel this location has a lot more fried options. However, my wife was sad that there was no pumpkin tempura. The short ribs and beef teriyaki were delicious. Sushi was fine. Everything came out timely. I think we received a couple of things we did not order (or maybe one of our friends was feeling ambitious and forgot?--we'll never know). Kids loved the soups. I loved the mochi. As for dessert. Everything we ordered was great. The fried milk and puffs were excellent. We were here on the right day and got fried ice cream. It was nice seeing a couple of different things on the dessert menu. We ordered all things mango. My wife had the mango mousse and loved it. As for aesthetics. My wife and I were discussing on our way home how we felt St. Catharine's was more cozy. We both commented on the slate floors, which we're jealous of. My wife went to the restroom and peeked into another vacant one. She said they both were clean. She was happy that our daughter was able to reach the sink. Overall, we both thought that the ambiance of this Wind was superior, but the menu of the other location was better. That being said, the service was excellent. One of the waitresses was chatting with our 10 month-old, and made her smile from ear-to-ear when she was starting to fuss towards the end. Our dirty plates were constantly gone as soon as they were emptied, drinks refilled, very attentive. We really appreciated the service and the food.

This is among some of the best sushi I've ever had. If you're from the area and you love sushi then you already know this place and you definitely love it already. Staff is always really kind and helpful and food is always delicious. Very quick to bring out the food and always quick to fill up your water. iPads are an all you can eat NECESSITY. Maybe just some awareness from the staff when placing dishes on the table. More of an attempt to make it less awkward. Lots of reaching across customers instead of walking to other side of the table. Not too big of a deal but if I had one constructive criticism it would be that. Overall this place is great and I'd HIGHLY recommend.

We found a hair in our food and were charged holiday pay without even being here on a holiday and this is what they gave us.....

Definitely not coming back. We came here on December 27th and were charged a holiday fee of $3 extra without even being here on an actual holiday. We also found a hair in our food and didn't even get any discount. We were told general manager wouldn't do anything for us at all and they gave us an email to contact about the issue..

My significant other and I arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated. The atmosphere is warm and well balanced. Our hostess gave us instructions on how to use the ordering tablet. As the hostess left the table our waitress arrived and kindly asked if we would like drinks. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine. The beginning to our evening was a bit chaotic, not having ordered yet, many servers dropped off plates (then immediately took them back and to their rightful table). This happened 2-3 times before we had actually ordered anything. When we did order, our first dish never arrived (edamame). However, our first round of sashimi and fried dumplings arrived to the table and from that point forward, things were much better. We tried a bit of everything, and can say the food was fresh and very good. Does not blow you away, but we wouldn't turn anything back either. The salmon nigiri is delicate and sweet. The various rolls we tried were well portioned and worth every bite. Beef teriyaki and fried dumplings are hearty. The desserts are as expected, a bit held back, yet we don't go to an AYCE sushi restaurant for the desserts. The presentations could use a bit of creativity (other tables seemed to haveone elaborate plating, but that's not very important in my mind). In all, a great experience. It was about 45$ (before tip, per person) for a drink and AYCE. We would recommend Wind if your looking for a cozy, quiet evening for a small group.

The Korean fried chicken? A rhapsody. We ordered another dish with eggplant and crispy rice sticking to the stone bowl. Everyone in my party of four had a drink that felt like it was made for us. We each had different dietary restrictions and the kitchen was very mindful of them. (They give an allergen disclaimer on the menu, and they won't rework a whole dish for you, but they are genuinely very nice about avoiding your allergy.) I would tell anyone looking to visit Niagara Falls that they should stay in St. Catharines instead so they can eat here. Pharmacii is better than all the places in New York and LA that think they're doing the same thing. This is a place worth visiting, again and again, from any distance.

The concept is unique, fun and creative. I love their message that Asian food isn't one thing and shouldn't be considered cheap. It isn't pretentious and the food was to die for. I think it's impossible to not have a good meal here. Our kind server helped us narrow down our choices and we loved every dish. We had clarified viet coffee and zing-get cocktails, both strong and delicious. For food we had charred bok choy, Tsukune bao slider, kan-poong, and the pork belly. The flavors were perfect, everything was well portioned and we left full. We can't wait to come back and try more next time. The chef here is very talented and has a unique culinary point of view.
