Dr Mark Keresztesy is a Great Atlas Orthogonist. I've been seeing him for years. It's rough at times though..... With all the pain I was in, I was kind of rough on Dr Mark, however, he handled it with professionalism. There was even several times where I would text him (yes, he tells you to text him at anytime, imagine that!) and he offers to meet me at the office at 9pm at night. One time I actually took him up on it and he were at the office for 2 hours trying to get relief for my condition. Dr Mark is not your typical "stretch and yank" chiropractors, he will customize your treatment as needed. There was one time when money was real tight and he told me to pay him when I can. I did. It took me a year but I did it. If you are able, he will put you thru a long evaluation with xrays and such in order to best suit your needs. He goes over all of it with you and then tells you the best approach. He has helped me tons, unfortunately, my condition has a mind of its own and fights whatever medical help I get from several doctors but if I was asked, I would call Dr. Mark Keresztesy my Friend because of all the "above and beyond" work he has put into me. read more

I found Dr. Mark after my fantastic TMJ MD & DMD Dr. Mark Piper recommended that I find an accredited practitioner of Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic as taught by The Sweat Institute to work on my twisted C1 vertebrae (and neck in general). Long story short, my jaw was broken, neck whiplashed, and neck spine twisted up like a pretzel after ~15 years of failed treatments and mis-diagnoses following a bicycle vs. car accident. Dr. Piper worked wonders on my jaw, but I needed some serious help with the neck and spine. Dr. Mark has provided that and then some, working to align my C1 vertebrae (and keep it there for longer and longer periods). He's also done wonders for my spine, as I've slowly begun to "unwind" over the past months. My quality of life has improved greatly, and I've been able to move along well in reducing the use of post-jaw surgery meds. As for my experience, the first appointment was long, as Dr. Mark performs a full exam, including x-rays and consultation on how to best get you fixed. I was informed of this up-front, and knew to expect it. Typical to most chiropractors, you start off with 2-3x weekly sessions, which reduce in frequency as you show consistent improvement. Appointments are 30-45 mins on average - pretty typical - but Dr. Mark will take the time to figure out your customized adjustment settings early on to ensure he gets it right. He also consults with the nationally known Sweat Institute as/if needed on your treatment, which is an awesome resource to have. Bottom line: this is not your standard "stretch and crack" chiropractor, and you should research this chiropractic method. It has a unique approach, and has provided fantastic results for many in chronic pain. But like any treatment program, it requires you to adhere to the program and the appointments to get the most out of it. I'm extremely glad that I did the research, found Dr. Mark, and stuck with the treatment program. I had a job that I enjoyed for 20 years. I had to quit because I couldn't handle the brain fog and dizziness while working anymore. Add to that, a terrible neck pain that hurt so bad I couldn't move my neck to the left or right. I'd gone to docs, neurologists, pain specialist, arthritis specialist, balance center and on and on... By far one of the best chiropractors in the Chicagoland area. As a strength athlete, I visited Dr. Mark after noticing in-balances in my strength, posture, and muscles. As an avid fan of Elliot Hulse / Strengthcamp (youtube) I learned that a misaligned atlas could be to blame. After visiting Dr. Mark I quickly noticed the difference, Dr. Mark aligned my atlas and my strength in Benchpress, Deadlift, and Squat quickly increased. In fact my body responded so well to Dr. Marks atlas alignment, I was able to achieve a total combined lift weight of 1,005 lbs in those three lifts. My body felt better, by posture improved, and my strength gains were tremendous. I was in a car accident 4.5 years ago and have been suffering from horrible vertigo and migraines since then. I was seeing the closest chiropractor to my house with adequate management, but I didn't seem to get better and stay better for more than a couple of days. After my insurance coverage ran out for the year, I didn't want to pay for what I had been getting at the old doctor for years, so I found Dr. Mark. Dr. Mark spent the first appointment consulting, examining, and x-raying me for almost 2 hours. He was very thorough. I saw him again 2 days later for my first adjustment. I had seen the other doctor for several years, so I knew what to expect, but I did not expect to feel better immediately. I really did feel better immediately. The vertigo went from a pounding annoyance to a mere whisper in minutes and stayed that tolerable way until the next adjustment 2 days later. Then it was gone and has stayed gone for a full week. The adjustment appointments are around 20 minutes based on what all is needed that day. I am amazed that I don't feel stiff and constantly crave a massage anymore. I can actually check my blind spot without wincing in pain! A bonus that happened was my wrist numbness that I have had literally forever is gone. I stopped sleeping with a wrist guard 2 nights ago, and my hand no longer goes numb while driving, typing, or anything that would normally set it off. That is amazing. I previously wrote a great review, as Dr did make huge improvements in my Grandson. However, he became very controlling. Even trying to get us to submit his letter on how the play should be changed to meet his standards, to the Broadway tour managements. They declined, as do not need someone dictating their performances. Then, as we had to move on to the next city, and would not travel back to see Dr K, he will not send us our statement so that we can submit it to the management for reimbursement. It came to about $3500, as he demanded I bring my Grandson daily. And, took several X rays. Some, that are not good enough for another chiropractor to discern early stages and improvement. At this time, we are considering taking legal action to get the statement as have requested it for almost two weeks with no results. read more

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Mark! I have a history of lower back/hip pain, but needed relief from a recent neck injury that limited my neck/shoulder movement and caused headaches, even slight vertigo. My primary doctor couldn't pinpoint the source of my neck pain and l had limited progress with other chiropractors. Via Google, I came across Dr. Mark and learned how Atlas Orthogonal treatments alleviated neck pain. Dr. Keresztesy has improved my quality of life! I have MS and Ménière's disease and some of my symptoms have been disappearing. After the first treatment my neck and shoulder pain was gone. My walking and flexibility have improved after adjustments. My legs and hips are more balanced resulting in less balance issues. My dizziness has improved greatly and I have not had any vertigo since starting treatment. My hearing has improved and tinnitus has been lessened. Dr. Mark is a very knowledgable & well-trained doctor. I started visiting Dr. Mark's office a few years ago because I had been having extreme headaches & a lot of tension built up in my neck & shoulders. I thought this was going to be the answer to my prayers for relief. 10 weeks, 3-4 times a week, 2 hour appts, if I wasnt first he always made me wait. Talks alot about his personal life. The last straw.....after all this time and all this money his comment was, "I wish I could remember what I did when this was helping". Admits he is not a good records keeper, If you live close maybe not so irritating, or if you have insurance that helps with the costs. I live an hour away, and no insurance for chrioprators.
