By far an awesome acupuncturist! Called today to make an appointment (after I googled the nearest acupuncturist). I needed to get in asap as my pain was getting worse. Not only was I able to get in by the end of the day but I was seen right away when I arrived. Very friendly staff. They are knowledgeable and organized. Met Dr. Nakamura and he is so nice. He knew exactly where to treat the pain in my hand and with one treatment I feel better already. The location of his office is a pretty neutral area (middle of Schaumburg). I visited Dr. Nakamura for two incidents multiple times over the last 12 months. I suffered a left knee torn ACL and meniscus injury in November 2015. Visited primary, sport, and orthopedic doctors for months with little results. And my right knee began to suffer from added pressure. After multiple acupuncture sessions on both knees, I can walk long distances and jog 3 miles 5 times a week with no pain. In September 2016, I started feeling pain in my left heel to the point by November it was painful to walk. I visited my primary doctor who dismissed it as arthritis with no remedy. In December 2016, I visited Dr. Nakamura who performed acupuncture on the heel. Within days I felt the difference. I still feel a little tingling in the left heel but 95% of the pain is gone. I was treating with my ortho for arthritis in my knee which evolved into either a ligament strain or tendonitis. Shots and steroids did not work. In severe pain I came to Nakamura and received treatments. It took a few days and three treatments covering two weeks, BUT the pain has reduced significantly and I am able to walk and work again. I will follow up again later this week or early next week. This is incredibly easy and inexpensive compared to shots in the knee. I'd had a headache for three weeks along with a stiff neck and mid back pain. My primary care doctor orders meds that don't really help and recommended a specialist who couldn't see me for months. I thought I'd give chiropractic a try. Dr. Nakamura was able to see me without a long wait. He did a few adjustments, then acupuncture. After three appointments my headache hasn't returned and my neck is improved. I have one more appointment scheduled and he's said that will probably be all I need. Have had back, hip and neck pain for most of my life and after being to many different chiropractors for this Dr.Nakamura is the only one who is able to get rid of the painful a significant amount of time. Other chiropractors have tried making me stick to a plan costing me over $200 a month but here i never felt pressured and receive not only affordable care but the best care. read more

I've been to numerous chiropractors over my lifetime with chronic conditions. I don't expect nor have I gotten a cure from any. However the adjustments and Accupuncture do help manage the pain. I like the electric stimulation added to the Accupuncture for a stronger effect. The dr also uses a pain neutralizing technique that I like. All staff are very friendly, I am always able to get an appointment easily and I rarely have to wait in the office at all. English doesn't appear to be the primary language of the doctor and some staff, so some might find that a bit of a barrier, but I don't have a problem and I'm not a big talker myself:) I was without insurance for a long time and the dr gave me a very fair price for all services. I've never been pressured to make excessive appointments or buy any products. read more

15 years ago when Dr. Nakamura was starting his practice he came to my door to introduce himself, just canvassing the neighborhood for marketing. Although I'm lucky to be very healthy, occasionally I would have a muscle spasm or misalignment causing pain. Dr. Nakamura has always been great. His combination of Chiropractic and Accupuncture has amazing results. He is always training to advance his awareness of the best techniques. His office is clean and I never have to wait. A very capable and friendly office staff. I just finished receiving several treatments for a pinched nerve in my hip. Dr. Nakamura is just amazing. I was down with a severe slipped disc L5/S1 for months starting Sept 2016. Physical therapy did not work. It actually became worse. My doctor suggested steroids, expensive medicines (360 dollars at a time) and then surgery with a doctor who charges 300 + USD per visit. I chanced upon acupuncture as nothing else worked and chiropractors also proved their worthlessness. The first acupuncturist looted me in the cruise ship but was able to bring the pain down. I was hesitant to see a chiropractor for carpel tunnel syndrom. However on the recommendation of my neighbor and other positive reviews I made an appointment with Dr Hiroya Nakamura. I was very pleased that he listened, explained things and then only performed the services that I requested (mild adjustments and acupuncture). After 2 sessions, I am beginning to feel better! I have been a patient of Dr Nakamura for over 5 years now. During that time he helped me get control over migraines that were being triggered by a deviated septum. That problem has now been eliminated and corrected through surgery, but prior to seeing Dr Nakamura was a very debilitating experience for me. He also corrected my spine, the alignment of my shoulders, pain and stiffness in my left knee, the length of my legs and one of my wrists. These issues were probably the cumulative results from a bad fall in the tub a decade prior after washing suntan lotion off, a couple of body-jarring car accidents and multiple sports injuries that were over 20 years old, dating back to high school. As a result I had a lot of calcification build up in the muscles and tendon stress, my ankles, calves and feet had multiple deep tissue knots that limited my flexibility and range of motion. Walking with hammer toes and misaligned feet for so long only compounded the issues. After suffering from 'hammer toes' for most of my adult life, I now have straighten out toes once again. Many medical professionals told me that only surgery could correct that issue. My feet are finally in a good place, I can now squat without feeling that something in my calves or ankles or arches is going to tear. Originally, I came to see him with a lot of curiosity about acupuncture but not expecting much. A good friend swore on her children about its effectiveness and Nakamura's abilities. From the first visit it was obvious that it could help me. Many times, I could feel the relief it provided after arriving with a migraine, pain or discomfort somewhere. Once I got a taste of what I should be feeling like all the time, I just kept coming back. Now that I am older I feel a lot less pain and discomfort then I did ten years ago, actually it is almost non existent now. I use to think that I was going to have to move to a warmer climate as I got older. Finally, don't be fooled into thinking that his methods of correction are too simple or not doing much for you. I did, and so have many others have walked out thinking that too. It is not until you are in pretty bad shape that you can really tell the big difference and effectiveness of his techniques and approach. The results speaks for it self.
