My husband really wanted some candy flavored popcorn, so I ordered it for him for Valentine's Day. To get free shipping, you need to get a lot of popcorn. I decided to do that so he could try several flavors. I also got some cheese and cheddar popcorn that I would eat so I could help him eat some of it. However, it was still A LOT of popcorn! I got him Blueberry, Grape, Blue Raspberry and Confetti popcorn. He liked the Confetti best, and he liked how they were all different flavors. I personally don't even like the sound of candy flavored popcorn. I tried a few pieces of his, and it didn't change my mind. The cheese popcorns were good, but no better that something I could buy at the grocery store for $3. Somewhere on the website I think it said the popcorn stays free for 2-3 weeks. We had popcorn left long after that, and my husband still ate it and said it still tasted fine. I ordered it as a gift for him, so I just figured if he didn't get to eat all of it, we'd just throw it away. It was nice that it lasted longer than expected. And when it came it was packed very well, and the whole box smelled like popcorn! Actually, our whole pantry smelled like popcorn for a month, lol! This was nice to do as a one time thing. I don't think I'd do it again, or if I did, I'd just get the Confetti kind and pay the shipping. It would be nice if the shipping was a little lower. I could get a whole bag of popcorn for the shipping cost, which was why I decided to order it the way I did. He liked it, and that's what mattered. read more

Cute little shop with limited hours. The staff was friendly but they were "out" of many of the flavors. I aldosterone expected the store would smell like a movie theater lobby but it did not. Cute popcorn shop on Primrose with a ton of flavors to choose from - from Cajun to amaretto to dill, they have a popcorn flavor for any craving. I got a variety of flavors for a gift and then a small 2-cup bag of the Hawaii hurricane - woah, talk about a unique flavor. If you like seaweed, try it - it has actual shreds of seaweed in it! Also, if you ask, they're willing to let you sample before you buy if you're not sure about a flavor. Overall, this is a great place to stop for a unique gift idea. I only gave 4 stars because the lady I dealt with wasn't very friendly, she seemed like she wanted us to just pick something and get out of her way. Popocorn? Flavored popcorn? I'm in! Literally, I just went in after I saw this place. I wasn't looking for popcorn, yet this placed "siren song'd" me into its popcorn rocks. Oh, and what a way to go! As soon as you enter, there is a board to the left with the day's flavors. However, its also fun to look at the big buckets of popcorn behind the counter as you an see some color coming through. (I'm a visual person, so this is important when collecting calories!) Since I wasn't really looking for popcorn this day, (plus I had just had a cookie AND donut before stopping in) I got two small bags to check it out. I tried the Hawaiian Hurricane, which had ingredients in it that I've never heard of. Exotic! I also tried the Vermont Granny, with white cheddar & green apple.) Out of the two, the granny mix was my fav. The Hawaiian Hurricane tasted a little stale or either the ingredients I had never heard of were not my "thang" ... it tasted good though. I should also note that you can ask for samples prior to buying. I was too overwhelmed with the choices to think about this prior. I also like to live on the edge with my popcorn experiences. So, do what feels right for you! Saying all that, whatever flavor suits your fancy, a small bag is not enough. I personally need more popcorn in my life. You'll need them because there are dozens of flavors to choose from. First, my favorites: Cheddar and White Cheddar are made with real cheese and are both equally delicious. For a sweet flavor and overall best: Smores. Yes, Smores is drizzled with chocolate, dusted with graham cracker bits and even has tiny little marshmallows. I could eat an entire bag! Sounded promising but disappointing: White chocolate macadamia nut- the flavors don't mesh well together. Garlic Parmesan- too bland. Marshmallow- the marshmallow flavor is lost on the popcorn. My son loves the fruit flavored popcorn: apple, grape, cherry, strawberry, blueberry, banana- you name it. Then there are mixes like Carmel apple, blueberry cheesecake and confetti. Finally, my curiosity got the best of me and I stepped inside to find something even cooler- a fully-functioning, pretty darn impressive popcorn store. It was true! They really only sold popcorn! This place is everything! I stopped in on Thursday to look at their selection of popcorn. I was hosting a bridal shower & wanted to do jars filled with the party color popcorn that said "thanks for popping by". I was unsure of how much I needed, but the mother-daughter duo were super friendly & nice and helped me. They were a little low on the colors I needed but re-assured me I could call them and they would get what I needed. They gave me a 2 cup bag so I could take it home and do the hw. However, I wasn't able to call due to a family emergency, and my friend went in on Friday to get what I needed and they helped him 100% get what we wanted and needed. I ordered popcorn because I loved the flavors a coworker brought in to our job. I placed my order on 10/13 and didn't get a shipped notification until 10/22. The email confirmation for my order said delivery on 10/19 but it wasn't delivered until 10/25!!! Sorry that's way too long to wait for a few bags of popcorn. I was impressed by the multitude of flavor options and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2-Way. It was delicious! Opportunities: the store was not clean. Things like a visibly dirty floor where the popcorn is kept, to the staff not cleaning their hands between cashier transactions and food handling are an easy fix that would go a long way for the perception and experience of the customer. Plus I am pretty sure this is a food handling regulation. Moreover, I would recommend wearing gloves when preparing the popcorn bags as the popcorn comes in contact with the skin/hands of the staff. Sooo many flavors, anything you can think of! I got, guava, garlic parmesan, confetti and wasabi soy. Although I only sampled one of their 180 flavors, I'm going with 5 stars based on what they do, and how they do it. My boyfriend and I "popped" in one day after riding by many times. We were kindly greeted by the owner and learned a great deal about how they got started. She was extremely friendly overall and I decided that she is the type of person to be that friendly regardless of making a sale. She allowed my boyfriend to try as many samples as he wanted and happily answered all of our questions. I tried one of their house favorites, caramel corn sprinkled with white cheddar. It sounds very odd, but it was very good and almost creamy. They literally have every flavor under the sun including margarita, coconut, oreo, chicken wing, and beer. They carry the standards of course and on weekends offer a tent in their parking lot for anyone looking just to buy kettle corn. The prices are okay; just what you'd expect for gourmet popcorn. The popcorn was sent in 2 boxes due to the amount. Both boxes were sent the same day. One box showed up on time the other box did not. Thus we did not have enough popcorn for the popcorn bar we had included with the luncheon after the barmitzvah. When the second box arrived 3 days late, of course we had no use for it. We called customer service. No apol ogy or at least fake sincerity. All we were told was we would be responsible for return postage fees. If customer service even fak ed an apology or even credited us a few dollars we would have had no problem recommending this company to other temple members for their child's barmitzvah. Decided to check this place out based on the other Yelp reviews, and since we liked it so much we've been twice! We tried and purchased the Buffalo Ranch, peanut butter, salt and vinegar, and oreo cheesecake flavors all of which are awesome! Flavors we didn't like too much were the caramel and taco flavors. Taco had way tooooooooo much cumin, and the batch we sampled also tasted a bit stale. As for the caramel, it was kinda "blah," and not very rich or complex tasting. Nice thing about this shop is that they will let you sample any of the flavors, and will package your popcorn into any type or size container that you need. Also, Encore is just down the street from the theatre at Fashion Square Mall.....which is uber convenient if you don't nasty stale popcorn from the theatre :) read more

I love popcorn. I could sit all day and eat bag after bag of popcorn. This is why I am so glad I found this place. They have over 200 flavors, but they only have so many of those 200 made at one time. The girl working told me that they have been very busy, so the selection of popcorn right now is limited. Most people have written about how they would let you sample anything before you buy it. When I went in they had two flavors out for samples, but the worker didn't mention anything to me about trying anything else. I would have liked to try some flavors before I purchased anything. I ended up getting kettle corn..AMAZING and chili cheese..not so great. I am a huge kettle corn fan, and I will come back for this again and again. However, the chili cheese tasted nothing like chili or cheese. It actually tasted smokey. I can't wait to come back to try even more flavors. read more

This is a really cute little shop right by downtown. When you walk in, they have a blackboard with all the flavors they have and a pricing guide beside it that is all coordinated. It may seem a little confusing at first but it very quickly makes sense. The staff there is very friendly and eager to help with any popcorn questions you may have. They also offer samples to help you decide what flavors you want to purchase. I highly recommend trying the flavors before you buy them because there were two that we thought would be excellent but were not our favorites. With that said we did buy five different bags of popcorn and each one is incredible. Far better than anything you would find in a regular store. As a last minute decision for a wedding party favor, Kernel Encore did so great at getting our popcorn to us the day before our wedding! When I had selected "rush order" late Sunday night, I recieved a courtesy call the very next day for a clarification of when we needed our popcorn. great customer service! I ordered two 15 gallon boxes of the original kettle corn flavor for such a great price! I searched all over the net for tasty but reasonably priced popcorn and luckily came across their site! I will warn you guys (because I was concerned immediatelywhen I opened the first box) it tasted like it was burnt- I don't know if that's normal or if that has happened to anyone else (only a small percentage of popcorn did look over toasted) BUT that "burnt flavor" dissipated after a couple hours!! Once the flavor settled in, the popcorn was crazy good and highly addictive!!! It was continuously complimented on by all of our family and friends; so many people asked me where I got it! This place is an amazingly delicious hidden gem. A friend gave me some popcorn (blue raspberry) from here and I was intrigued. She told me stories about how they have flavors ranging from traditional Chicago style (caramel and chedder) to hot wing and bacon flavor. During my next lunch break I was there. Trying everything. What a creative and fun snack. I even ordered the cheesecake flavor, half kept the white color and half dyed blue for wedding favors at my wedding. Try everything, you won't be disappointed.
