Welp... my sister loves chocolate, so this was a mandatory stop. And honestly, who am I to argue--as long as there's dark chocolate, I'm fully on board. Good news: there was plenty of dark chocolate to choose from, and every option looked dangerously good. This is one of those places where restraint becomes a real challenge. Probably a good thing I don't live nearby, because this would absolutely turn into a weekly habit. A must-stop for any chocolate lover!
It was right after my failed attempt to park the car on the street that my boss noticed that Peterbrooke Chocolatier had Gelato so naturally, after dinner, we crossed the street and walked inside. The sweet smell of sugar smacks you in the face once you enter. It's a friendly yet strong slap of everything chocolate. I walked around the shop looking at the sugar cookies, chocolate this and that, and I was pleasantly reminded of the chocolate and pastry shop in my hometown on Ocean Street. It was as if I had been transported back in time to that exact location. Seeing those sugar cookies in Valentine's, St. Patrick's, and Easter designs was a trip down memory lane. Whatever you are looking for in chocolate, Peterbrooke has it or can make it, but tonight was about Gelato I know a little something about Gelato after spending a week in Italy last year and being sweetly spolied by Black Market Gelato in Boise, Idaho. While I did not sample the Gelato here, two diners did, and the looks of pure joy and ecstasy on the face was all that I needed to know. They both had their heads back, eyes closed, and savored each spoonful of deliciousness. As a matter of fact, both of them finished their gelato in the store as it was that good. If you're in the area and need a chocolate alligator or anything else chocolate, stop by and take a stroll down memory lane and get some gelato for Pete's sake.
The service was great, and quick. The ice cream was good, just not amazing. I honestly wish they had better flavors. I enjoyed the Italian wedding cake, I just wish they had other options. However, I am someone who prefers smaller cups of ice cream and I appreciated the portion size.
My granddaughter and friend came for Chocolate Camp and loved getting to make chocolate and play games. Thank you PB for making this an option during the hot summer months. Well worth the price!
Smells amazing inside. You can see where everything is made through the glass window. Staff are nice. We tried the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. It was $15 and was worth it!
The prices are so exorbitant. It's almost hard to believe. During a time when people are really struggling just to buy groceries you folks wanna charge $28 for a half dozen chocolate strawberries? I can make my own chocolate buy some strawberries and do it myself for like five dollars. What a joke. Read the room.
One of my favorite chocolate shops in TOWN!! I alwyas get the white chocolate covered pretzels, because they're amazing! It's conveniently located on Park Ave and a great place to stop by when you're walking. Service is fast and staff make great recommendations. It smells SO GOOD in there. My husband also like the chocolate chip cookies, which I could recommend as well. They also have gelato if you like that!
The Limoncello gelato was AMAZING. I've had authentic limoncello from Italy and this gelato transported me back to all the memories. This is a cute little spot with many desserts and gelato flavors for those with a sweet tooth!
Stop by after dinner since we were in the area. It was pretty busy for a weekend night. Plenty of dodfeeenr chocolates that they offer. They also have ice cream. I did opt for half tiramisu and half triple chocolate and it was yummy! The flavors mixed well together and I enjoyed it. Also, their chocolate covered strawberries were delcious as well. Friendly staff members who were very helpful.
We came here after lunch on Park Avenue for something sweet. Really delicious chocolates, plus chocolate covered everything, including pineapple, pretzels, popcorn, potato chips, Oreos and a wide variety of chocolate candies. There are also several specialty chocolate gift choices including the happy birthday, get well and thank you baskets. But my favorite is still the chocolate covered toffee. Friendly and helpful staff.
W3 stopped by here after dinner for a sweet treat! I don;t believe I've actually been mind Peterbrooke before to be hones. When we went inside there was a pretty good variety of candies and you could see the staff through the window in the back actually making it. They also had gelato here which is what we stopped by for. The staff was very friendly and offered for us to sample several flavors before we made out final decisions. I ended up with a red raspberry gelato that was very tasty. THe shop is small-ish but is not too terribly crowded. It sits on Park avenue near several great dining spots, so its a good stop for after dinner treats while strolling down Park Avenue. Parking is always a challenge in downtown Winter park, but if you can grab a public spot behind the Edith Bush center,m that is ideal

I'm not gonna lie, I was craving ice cream, in the moment I passed this spot. I walked right back in. I was on a mission for chocolate ice cream specifically, but there are a lot of options. There is ice cream, there's candy, they're straight up chocolate truffles, there are lots of different things you can try in here. I would say it's truly a gem in Winter Park when I visit. I ordered the peanut butter cookie to go because it's just that incredible: chunk, chewy, and big. I also got suckered in, because I love fruity pebbles, and got this rice Krispy treat. To be honest it didn't live up to my expectations and this tiny item was $2.50. For the size of a starburst. I was saddened by that but the cookie makes up for it. read more

Visiting family in FloridaSo this is something I needed to try. Let's see what all the hype was. So I had to google who had it out here and boom PeterBrooke pop up. So we took the 25 min ride out. Park and walk about 3. Blocks away. Walking thru Winter park shopping area and got to see some cool stores and parks. Then we came up to the store. Okay it's on the corner and pretty small spot. There were 2 ladies who walked in first and we were behind them. We were excited b/c it smelled good and all the items were packed in ready to go bags and the glass shelves counters had all types of chocolate goodies. Then we heard the ladies ask "do you guys have the dubi chocolate ", and we said "yes that's why we are here". The best response we heard was" Yes we do" Awwwwwwwwwwwe were so excited. I got to see them make the cup behind the glass back room and I was excited to try it. Let me say we purchase the cup for $17 and the bar for $23. Yeah pretty pricey. We sat outside and dug in oh oh oh boy was it everything ppl were saying. Every scoop was delightful and worth the amount spent. Bottom line is go try it whenever you're in Florida. Amazing, creamy, crunchy, thick and worth the time n effort looking for it read more

Review of Truffles & Bubbles class: The class included two glasses of bubbly, dipping a chocolate covered strawberry and dipping/decorating 10 truffles. Reservations are required for the class. The class was fun. The champagne was served in chocolate dipped flutes. The employee told us about the history of chocolate. She then showed us how to dip and decorate. We wore aprons and gloves. I didn't take photos of some parts since it was messy. We then got to dip the truffles in either dark, milk or white chocolate. (Is white chocolate even chocolate though?) I dipped mostly in dark chocolate. The truffle decorations included sprinkles, coconut, sea salt and chile powder. I think the black sea salt was the best topping. Only 8 truffles fit in the box so I had to eat two of them. The box of truffles I brought home were eaten by my family so fast. read more
ALL the chocolate. I'm very much a chocoholic and love anywhere that offers up delicious treats. We frequent Park Ave and love to walk the street and just take in all there is to see, and this shop is right on the walk! Before you even make it inside you can smell the sweet treats and once inside you will see that it's wall to wall offerings! They have ice cream, shakes, truffles, marshmallows, boxed variety chocolates, popcorn, and more! You can even order custom pieces with names, birthday wishes, celebration dates, etc. I personally head for the chocolate case and usually grab up some dark chocolate truffles or a dark chocolate covered marshmallow stick. There is always a line for the ice cream, cause Florida is hot! Haha! The staff moves things quickly and the wait isn't usually too long. They have a couple of small tables out fronts, but usually people take it to go for the stroll down the street, or sit at a long bench nearby. Overall: A Yummy chocolate treats you can take to go for a stroll to help burn the calories you're about to eat! read more

After a Friday afternoon of hanging out with my friend and fellow Yelper, Britta B., I encouraged her for us to find a place to "treat" our afternoon of "hard work and studying" (more like procrastinating at it's best). So without searching through Yelp, *definitely a first*, we where walking around Park Ave around Winter Park and Britta pointed out a colorful sign with a drawing of a "Bubble Waffle Cone"; add our intrigued minds to the scent of warm chocolate and we were basically lured into this shop like Hansel and Gretel were lured into that Candy House... Only that we found friendly employees inside instead of a wicked witch. Very appealing to the eye, this store is a sight for sore eyes. Very cute and filled with chocolate EVERYTHING. Don't believe me? Take a look at the pictures. Chocolate covered pretzels, all sorts of berries, coffee beans, popcorn, peeps, jelly beans, you name it! Also, Chocolate on all shapes and forms. White, dark, milk chocolate heels, yes HEELS! Chocolate ties, chocolate pizzas, your usual chocolate bars and even chocolate liquor!! Looking back, I'm SOOOOO glad I wasn't "PMSing" while visiting this store because I would've probably made impulsive decisions. *You don't want to know...* So Britta continued to point out the Gelato Bubble Waffle Cones and would tell me, "These are all over Instagram! They are quite popular!!". Without having to convince me, I was convinced. Employee gave us the details and much intriguing information. You get to select between chocolate or vanilla waffle cones, select your desired gelato and you get unlimited, YES... UNLIMITED, toppings. All of this for $8.00. I'll admit, a bit pricey, but when you see the detail and patience that goes into making this perfect bubble waffle cone (plus you can go crazy with unlimited toppings), it's not that bad. A sundae at your typical chain ice cream store can range between $5-7; and that's for plain ice cream not Gelato! So after the employee was ever so patient with my 104 questions and around 5 gelato samples later (Hey! I have curious taste buds as well!!), Britta decided for the Vanilla Waffle Cone and I went for the Chocolate one; Although Usually I would go for the Vanilla waffle cone, selfishly, I wanted to try both! I picked my "gelato poison" which was mixed berries and decadent chocolate, and decadent it was! I didn't want whipped cream, but went for rainbow sprinkles (reliving my childhood days) and some weirdly named chocolate covered sticks that were worth adding. I seriously didn't take advantage of the unlimited toppings, but next time I will. I didn't see the toppings listed anywhere, but the employee gave me the details. (I would definitely suggest for them to have a list for customers to be able to go over and select from). So we watched the process of the making of the bubble waffle cones (takes about 8 minutes, I would say) and enjoyed exploring the store, purchasing chocolate covered bacon for Juan (Which he pointed out to be the best he has ever tried since it was very crispy) and observed a hypnotizing machine that kept battering chocolate. I remembered telling Britta, "I would so dip my face into that machine. Just face-plant into it." She suggested for me, hypothetically, to dip my hand maybe, something less "animal-like", but I insisted it should be a face-plant. It was then when I understood WHY there is a glass preventing chocolate-crazed people, like me, from getting near the chocolate... Finally, our Gelato Bubble Waffle Cones were ready and I swear I kind of skipped all the way out of the store feeling like a happy kid who had just had her day made. Britta even treated me to my Gelato, so I felt the joy of not having to pay for something. Lol! Thanks Britta!! I got you next time, though, don't worry! All in all, gelato was very tasty, bubble cone was soft and perfectly cooked and the service was welcoming. We took our cones and went to Winter Park's Rose Garden to sit on one of the benches, watch the sunset and enjoy our selections. Sounds like the ending of a chick-flick movie, but we were pleased! read more

This is a standard fixture on Park Avenue. They have gelato and everything-chocolate from chocolate high heels to chocolate liquor. They also have a fun viewing window in the back where you can see staff making the latest treats. Pro tip: Look for the chocolate popcorn samples! read more
You can chose between this place and Haagen daz, buttttt you can buy Haagen daz at any local grocery store! So I suggest you come here! The staff is super friendly, patient and informative, I prob tried every single gelato before deciding on the strawberry one! Super delicious!!! What a treat on a nice Sunday afternoon. read more

This chocolate is absolutely scrumptious! If I'm on Park Ave then a stop to Peterbrooke is an absolute must. I am completely addicted to their Cattails, which are pretzel rods covered in caramel, nuts and chocolate. All the flavors combined with a soft chewy caramel and crunchy pretzel is amazing. I cannot stop at just one bite. I tried the dark chocolate ones this time and I was not disappointed. Their dark chocolate has just enough sweet with a little bitter. I also picked up since solid dark chocolate and that stuff is so smooth and creamy, it just melts in my mouth. And if you've never had their chocolate covered popcorn then I would highly recommend giving that a try - you won't be disappointed. read more

A tad on the pricey side - but it's typical of chocolate, as well as the area this shop is located. However, the best deal is their frozen pineapple coated in either milk or dark chocolate. Pure heaven! ETA: I have since found out that this business sustainably sources it's chocolate. In consideration of this, and the fact that their treats are super yummy, the price seems on par. I wish I could provide more details on the other goodies, but my kids and hubby gobbled them up before I could sneak a bite. That pretty much speaks for itself. It's a good thing Sunrail doesn't run on weekends, so tempting to take a trip for weekend snacks - but I'm sure we will be back. :) read more

All of the stars and pictures on yelp drew me in. After being in my bookmarks for 6 months we finally made it there the first Saturday of January 2016. Imagine my surprise when absolutely none of the amazing treats featured on this page were available. When I asked the young man behind the counter about each item he just said "nope", and gave me a blank stare. Our cones were ok, rocky road-decent, and I'm hoping my $14 candy apple is amazing. read more

5*'s because this place has a little bit for everyone. Chocolate in all kinds of forms, and unique flavor combinations. Such as chocolate popcorn, chocolate covered bacon, chocolate/coffee drinks (to take home) and traditional bars, bunnies and other shapes. I was really impressed that they offer chocolate bars with messages in Braille. I'm always impressed when a business integrates diversity and inclusion into its business's model. Fellow Yelper Michelle M. C. And I tripped across this place wandering Park Ave in search of a treat to celebrate her last day at her current job. We were immediately immersed in a fantasy land of chocolate. A very friendly staff greeted us and asked us if we needed help with anything. As soon as I said no I noticed the sign for "bubble waffle gelato" ... and I was proven a liar. I had seen videos of this new trend on Instagram and I couldn't believe that this option was right in front of me so "on second thought what is that?" The staff person provided a very detailed account of what the waffle included. Basically it is a standard waffle mixture in the shape of bubbles instead of squares which is shaped as a cone and then filled with gelato. You also get to chose from a large variety of toppings. We were also informed that the whole process would take about 3-4 minutes. And then the choices begin. Standard or chocolate waffle? What type of gelato? Two choices no problem, which one do you want on top? What type of toppings? Whipped cream, sprinkles, poko sticks? And a bunch of others I can't remember. I chose a standard waffle with tiramisu and coconut chocolate chip gelato (tiramisu on top) and kept it simple for the topping just whipped cream. Fun fact you can watch the waffle being made in the back where they make the chocolates. The waffle is put into a cup and the rest of the toppings are added. It is a little pricey ($8) but well worth it considering what you get and the overall attention to detail. Also if you check in on Yelp there is a 10% discount. The location is an extra bonus because we could easily walk to the Winter Park Rose Garden to enjoy our treat. You can break off the little waffle bubbles to enjoy or eat them with a spoon together w the gelato. The "bottom" gelato kind of melts into a sweet soup which is yummy w the waffle. As much as this dessert seems like it's over the top, the waffle takes up a lot of room in the cup, so while it was an indulgence it wasn't over the top, but just perfect in hitting the spot. read more
