One of the Best malls I have been in the area. I was there on a Sunday and it was packed. The lot was full. There were no empty stores. It's a beautiful store with great shops and nice mix of people for people watching. I didn't buy anything but I will be back for sure. read more

This mall is amazing!! I usually go to the Briarwood mall in Ann Arbor but Novi has it wayyy better!! There are way more stores and restaurants! I found 2 pairs of shorts from different stores for $10 each. One was from H&M and one is from Just Cozy. Plenty of parking and to cool down from a hot day, we got a root beer float from A&W and it was refreshing!! read more

Twelve Oaks Mall is one of the best malls in Detroit. The mall is massive and is anchored by Macy's, JCPenney and Nordstrom. I've been here twice and it was busy both times. Some of the stores here are Aldo, Apple, Banana Republic, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Clarks, Foot Locker, Fossil, GNC, Hot Topic, Kate Spade, Levi's, Lush, Pandora, Petland, Sunglass Hut, The North Face, Vera Bradley, Victoria's Secret and Vans. Some of the eateries are A&W, Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon, CPK, Charley's Philly Steaks, Mrs. Fields, Sbarro, Starbucks, Taco Bell and the Cheesecake Factory. It's pretty much a one stop shop for anything you need. I'll be back the next time I'm in Detroit. read more

Horrible Santa Reservation System - Children Left Disappointed I prepaid and made reservations for a 2:30 PM visit with Santa today at Twelve Oaks Mall for my 8-year-old daughter and her friend. When we arrived there were two lines--one for reservations and one for walk-ups--but absolutely no organization whatsoever. No one was actually checking reservation times, so people with later time slots could have easily been standing ahead of us in line for all we know. We stood in the "reservation" line for 25 minutes with zero movement, and when we finally asked, the manager told us they were still on 1:30 PM appointments and were not actually checking appointment times until you got to the front of the line- not sure what good that does. She even admitted things were not set up correctly and things were not running smoothly, but had no explanation as to why no one was checking times when putting people in line. We unfortunately had to leave because we had already waited with no progress and two disappointed little girls who didn't even get to see Santa. And after all that, they told me no refund was possible even though they clearly weren't honoring the reservation time I paid for. Very poor organization, very disappointing for kids, and extremely unprofessional to take payment up front without providing what was purchased. I really hope management sees this, because this was NOT at all the magical Santa experience we paid for. I would absolutely not recommend booking here based on today's experience. read more

Twelve Oaks has become the best mall in metro Detroit in my opinion. I went to what I consider to be the second-best mall recently, Somerset Mall, and there is a noticeable decline. It's still huge and fancy, but the major department stores at Somerset, like Macy's, aren't as good as the ones at Twelve Oaks. The general atmosphere and availability of items are better at Twelve Oaks than at Somerset. The area surrounding Twelve Oaks is also thriving and growing at a faster pace than around Somerset, with dozens of stores and restaurants. Asian food is good in Novi. I like that Twelve Oaks has Macy's and JCPenney, where I often shop for gifts, jewelry, and clothing. Most malls these days either have one or the other but not both. Besides those two department stores, there is Nordstrom, Apple, Coach, Kate Spade, and Gap, among dozens of other small shops. There is a good food court, upscale dining options in and around the mall, and salons. Everything one needs is here or within a 10-minute drive from the mall, like TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Sephora, Joann, Michaels, One World Market, and so much more. One can spend an entire day shopping and dining within a 2-mile radius. read more

Decent mall with a wide variety of stores, and probably the best option for a one stop shop in the area. Be aware that it always seems super busy though, so maybe not the best if you're looking for a quick or efficient shopping trip! The area in general is kind of hectic with traffic, and this mall always seems busy. Probably my fault for going this weekend (about a week and a half out from Christmas), but parking was madness. I think I parked all the way in the furthest lane from the entrance I was going for - the Nordstrom one. Then it took me 25min just to leave the parking lot and the circle drive around the mall, because we were all just kind of stuck in the circle drive for a while. I didn't actually buy anything on this trip too, because the lines in the stores I went in were too long to be worth it. Large food court with a lot of different options! Was returning 3 pairs of jeans because they did fit right. Only one pair had the tags off. Had already bought 3 replacement pairs online. They will not let you return an item that the tags were removed but still have them. There policy says the tags must be attached for a return. I told them I would have them reattached. They said they will not accept the return. Nowhere in the policy does it say must be attached by original means. Will not shop with American Eagle anymore read more

12 oaks opened in 1977. It was a great mall until several years back when violence started happening. First it was slow. Tappers jewelry had a smash and grab and we all got down and thought it was gunshots. The other day I was assaulted at the pop mart robo machine. Pic below. The security figures came and we befuddled. They didn't even know what the machine was. People are looking all over for a little doll called labubu that comes in the machine. In the United Kingdom the fights have gotten so out of control they shut down ALL SALES. It was a joke to security who had the police show up making it a bigger joke. I have never been in a fight in my entire life. Grew up in the area. The mall has become a breeding ground for noxious deviants that probably come back because of the "mall cops". They don't care and to be honest have very little knowledge of what's even at the mall. They didn't even know what the machine was. I was afraid for my life and I know others have never went back since the smash and grab. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where safety of the customers truly matters. The mall itself is quite nice. Very modern, well maintained and clean. It also has a good selection and variety of shops. I only give it three stars though because there's nothing about this mall that makes it stand out from other malls across Metro Detroit. To me, this mall is just a mall you go to if you need to get your mall needs taken care of - it's not somewhere you'd want to go out of your way to get to (compared to somewhere like Somerset Collection for instance). That being said, I'm not from Metro Detroit. However, if I'm ever in the Novi area again, I'd likely stop by here again. read more

I like this mall as much as I like Collections in Troy. I do feel like it has a lot of the same stores, the chain stores and department stores at least as the Troy collections mall. Fortunately the prices seem a little bit more reasonable for regular shoppers here. The food court is not bad here at all, plus there's additional options in the vicinity as well. There's a lot of options and better quality option restaurants here and in the vicinity. I will sometimes up to go to the small versus the one in Troy, just because I feel like it's not complete chaos and stressful as the Troy shops, which can at times feel too stuffy. I know that the cheesecake factory here is very popular and I often meet my family here, who live more on the west side of the city. It's actually a good meeting point between in general and it's only about 25 minutes away from me. They have Apple, Coach, club Monaco, , banana republic, Francesca's, Johnson and Murphy, Pottery Barn, Soma, Sephora, WHBM and several department store options too. read more

While I recommend the mall itself, it's the bathrooms in the food court that need major help! It was a very busy Saturday afternoon with back to school shoppers. The bathrooms were awful with water puddles on the floor and toilettes that were full of waste and toilette paper! Totally disgusting. Luckily, my daughter and I found 2 stalls that were functioning. We were lucky to have found soap to wash our hands. We felt horrible seeing a senior citizen just outside the restroom area who needed to get in to the women's bathroom. read more

I know for some, shopping in a mall is an inherently stressful experience, but for me it never is...EXCEPT FOR when I'm shopping at Twelve Oaks. Man oh man, this mall is designed to stress you out from the get go and I always stay away from this mall as much as I can. First of all, the flipping layout does not make ANY sense. There are so many alcoves/extensions to the many centers of the mall. It's impossible to figure out an optimal place to park given what sort of shopping and what sort of stores you want to hit, and even when I want to hit up one store located at the "center" of the mall, there is no easy way to get to it that doesn't require you walking a TON. I would like to have a conversation with whoever designed this mall because I have many questions about it. So if you're looking for a quick in and out, forget it. Hitting up one store at the "center" of the mall requires at LEAST a 15 minute walk from the parking lot, if not longer. The hallways of the mall are not big enough either given how many people flock to this mall. There are always traffic jams because everyone is going at different paces, and it's just an absolutely mess...ON A GOOD DAY. The don't have any stores that are too special to really warrant going to this mall over any other mall in the metro Detroit area, other than the only Cheesecake Factory location in all of Michigan, so if I'm not looking to get cheesecake I STRONGLY avoid this mall. There are always way too many people, which I already felt even before the pandemic, and certainly now this is just way more people, mostly unmasked, than I would ever want to interact with at any given time for the rest of my life. They even have the extremely problematic store that they for some reason refuse to close given how sus of a history it has - PETLAND. Honestly, I can't believe this store still exists. It's "hidden away" in one of those alcoves and not all that advertised, which I feel like is intentional. I had totally forgotten about this store and their puppy mill-sourcing fraught history until I just happened to walk by it one day and I truly couldn't believe it was still standing. WARNING!!! BEWARE!!! Avoid Impactskins store! There one the vendors on the middle aisle in the mall. They will scam you and pull bait and switch tactics on you. They will charge you for something you never agreed on and try lie say you did. They will steal your credit card information. Both regional manager (Darnell) and his employee will gang up on you and constantly harass you and trap you into a corner like they gonna jump you to try intimidate you to give up your money. I seen them do that ALOT people who walk by. Especially the women because they feel like they weak and Asian people because they feel like they can just walk all over them. These scammers/thieves refuse to give me a refund for something they charge me for that I never agreed on. They will trick you by telling you to pull out your credit card or debit card and snatch it from you and tap and pay on his register and take pictures of it on his phone front and back. I know they have my credit card information because I had a recent charge not short after that altercation I had with them for YouTube premium and Spotify premium and a money wire transfer of 2000 dollars I never send to them from venmo. I don't even use venmo. That 2000 dollars that these crooks stole from me are for my bills and my kids. Now I don't know how they gonna eat for awhile. I know it was them because the source came right from there location and the venmo transfer had his name on it and they charge me 80 dollars on one there product I never agreed to buy or have. I had to file a charge back and police report on them and freeze my card and get a new card. I hope they get shut down! They are so pathetic! read more

What a nice clean modern mall, with large Apple and Brookstone stores, and some great anchor stores. We were even looking at the map of the mall and the security guy came up to help us, now where have you ever seen a friendly security guard like that?! You can't go wrong with 12 Oaks Mall. This is the mall that was my go to as a child because it's the closest mall to where I grew up. This mall has everything you want in a good mall, including all the normal stores you think would be in a mall. read more

I like this shopping mall because they have good selection of stores and it is good size mall but not too big.

This is quite the fancy mall and is far from run down. There are very few closed storefronts here and that's always a good sign. I noticed at least a couple security patrols both inside and out. The entire place is well lit. This is nice to see. It is a big mall with lots of shops and easy access to the Interstate. The mall is on two levels with an open space in the center. The floors are tile and well polished, so if it's been raining outside, watch your step. Anchors here include Macy's, JC Penney, Sears, Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor at each of the main points of the mall. In between those, cell phone repair kiosks, way too many sporting goods stores and the usual mall shops. Parking is clear, but you're going to have to remember it on your own. read more

There are restaurants as well, that's when you get hungry and need sustenance. Lotion and candle shops to get your smell good on. What else... ummmmm. Oh yea, there's a big parking lot too,, all the things that's necessary for a to be as good as this mall right here. It's all the reason why this mall is so much better than the mall near you. Went here for first time on Saturday February 6, 2021. Very nice mall with lots of stores, very clean, everyone wearing masks, people seemed to stay in their own groups. Being a Saturday it was pretty packed, so a lot of the popular stores had Covid protocols in place-lines gathering outside the store limiting number of people inside. They even had sanitizer stations around the mall, places for sitting that were social distanced. Looked like there was a lot more sitting areas before Covid but condensed now. Didn't notice any store closures like at other malls-other malls in my area they are pretty noticeable. There's a food court but we didn't enter it. Looked pretty busy. Probably would go here again but during the week when not so crowded. Only bought one thing but did go browse a few stores. Overall, upbeat crowd and employees. read more

Lots of walking but it should be expected with any mall, I had fun shopping here because of the stores and staff. All of the shoe stores are worth the visit except for Sonny's shoes because they don't have listed prices on most of there shoes and I couldn't find the staff to ask for a price on a shoe I wanted but they were busy so I understand. This was the mall to go to as a kid, I like that it changes with the times. I also like that they send me e bulletins about sales and whatnot. The Lord and Taylor there always has rock bottom prices. They have Macy's and Nordstrom. My Lush store is there for me, the Apple store for my husband. I like that they have a good blend of stores here and lack a snooty feel while also escaping the downmarket trap. They also free handicap valet, which works as my husband's leg surgeries (13 as of now) have left him needing the service. I enjoyed visiting over the holidays. read more

I already liked this mall with it's wide isles and bright lights! You could count on Macy's, or Lord & Taylor for the best sales, and Sears was your home appliance go-to spot. One of my favorite malls in the area for sure. Great selection of stores, both upscale (well, mall upscale--J-Crew, Banana Republic, Nordstrom) and middle of the road (Gap, American Eagle, etc), it's clean, there are a number of dining options and the newer addition of Nordstrom has added some additional square footage to the mall and a few more desirable to me shops (yay Lush!). This is similar to Somerset in that it has a lot of the same shops but I prefer it because it's not SO big. The layout is traditional in the multiple-floors-with-department-store anchors kind of way. There's a kid's play area and ample parking and, I believe, the last Lord and Taylor left in the area (great coupons!). It can get SUPER crazy around busier times of the day (Saturdays) and year (Christmas) but on a regular old evening running some errands after work it's not too bad. I also like that they have a few locally focused stores/franchises as storefronts as well. Just Baked, Arts-In-The-Market, Sanders, and others all have their roots here in Michigan.
