Food,service and ambience are good.Some of their dishes are really good.A fruit cream is delicious and too good.

I have been willing to try this restaurant and sweets shop for sometime now, as there add comes a lot on local radio. They advertise that they make all sweets in fresh desi ghee ( clarified butter ), which is a better option than oils. My daughter wanted to have gulab jamun, so I thought of trying this place. I went there and ordered Gulab jamun, besan barfi and channa bhatura. I asked the lady taking my order that are these gulab jamun and besan barfi made with desi ghee, she first hesitated and then replied it's not fully ghee, it's mix of oil and ghee. Well I was disappointed as I don't like fake advertisement. I still order and paid for it and left. Channa bhatura was good, however not extraordinary for it to be $8.49, this is almost double the price of other Indian restaurants and better or same taste. Plus they have so less channa ( chickpea curry ) with it, it was not enough. Sweets were also good, again not extraordinary to be charged $2-$5 more than other Indian restaurants and sweets shop. Very disappointed, specially because of misleading advertising and their prices are also higher. I don't mind paying more if they were making all sweets with ghee and not oil and if food was better than others. I will not be going back here again! read more

I have been wanting to try good indian street food fir a while now and this restaurant was recently recommended by a friend so I couldn't wait snd tried it just one day after. When we went to the restaurant first thing you notice is how they took important safety measures for their customers. Everyone is wearing masks and tables have been arranged that way . We ordered mirchi vada , chole bhature, vegetarian thali , dahi papri chaat . Honestly everything was good and reasonable as well. I specially loved the mirchi vada as I had that after a long time . All the dishes were full of flavours. They have so many Indian sweets as well which makes your mouth watery. We took some sweets while leaving as well . I tried to take out from here 3 times, in covid this place is now take out only. So all the 3 times they messed my order and they never kept the order ready bu the time they told while ordering whether in person or on call. And this is so funny that the servers use only punjabi as a language of communication and so it is like you are in punjab, lol... maybe thats the experience they are trying to recreate butI guess due to their language limitations they are unable to serve you rightly. The food: well, it is really a 2 if I am being generous. And the server etiquettes : really 1. I am I really get frustrated everytime I tried to gove them another chance. And i also learned the queues outside the place is not coz of their food in demand, it is just a restult of mis management. They have 1 queue for people to pick up, people waiting to order, people people who ordered and went after the 2nd wait time.. lol read more

The food is always amazing at kesar. The dine in area has been renovated and is a warm and friendly place with a great ambience for families or friends to spend time together. This place is definitely better than rajdhani. I would highly recommend kesar for your next Indian food takeout and dine in. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Place was busy with the tables full and a long take out line. The food was slow to come out but otherwise very good. Tried the chana bhatura, an onion paranta and dal makhani. Chana bhatura was very good. Bhatura had a little masala inside which was a nice touch. Pickled onions and carrots were a little bland but otherwise a tasty meal. Got takeout from this spot today and omg I was blown away. I was really hungry when I had the food and it was every much worth the wait. I ended up trying the chole bhature which was amazing. Great flavor , so plentiful and satiating! Also tried the saag and Maaki ki roti which was rich and creamy and so delicious. The papdi chaat was perfect in terms of flavor and crunch. Also enjoyed the thaali which came with paneer, saag and also daal Makani which was yummy. Overall delicious food and an amazing bang for your buck! read more

This was our first time ordering and attending the restaurant. My aunt had told us about the place and was always praising the food. We were having guests over at the house for dinner. And we didn't want to cook lol so we decided to get catering done. The restaurant is small but can accommodate anyone that wants to eat at the restaurant. Food is made fresh at the time of order. We first decided to get apps before dinner which was a dish called Chaat Papri. The lady was able to have it ready in 30 mins or less for 20-25 people. Then we were given a sheet of all the choices for dinner. We were told to choose three curry (sabjis) options, type of bread (naan) rice, and lastly desert. I wasn't familiar with some of the curry options so we have a helpful lady that went over some of the foods and what they were like. If they had some of them made prior we were able to try some before saying yes. So we placed our order at 11 in the morning and by 9:30 at night we were able to pick it up with no issues. Everyone that attended for dinner was praising the food and how much they loved it. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to try the food. It does have some Indian spices in the food so be sure you like spicy Indian food ;). read more

So disappointed with this place. I ordered once before from here so returned for take out. When I got home they missed items from my order so I called back right away. The girl who answered told me no issue return and we would replace I told her I was home so she said that when I came back she would make it right and also give me additional items for my inconvenience. I returned today and these worker are clueless even the girl that worked the day before. So embarrassing like I wanted items. So I think they just lost a good customer. With tons of food places in Brampton you think they would be more diligent. So irritate. read more

Messed up our order and didn't offer to fix it. All hey said was sorry come exchange it. During a pandemic why would they have asked a costumer to return food just so you can serve it to someone else! This is not acceptable. Not hygienic and not good with costumer service. I wouldn't support this business during a pandemic because of this experience. We didn't return the food because we didn't want them to reserve it to someone else. The food here is really good. Kesar is one of those places that my family comes to whenever we are in the mood to eat chole bhature or something but making it at home is too much of a hassle. There food always leaves me satisfied and it hits different when you're really hungry or craving certain dishes in specific. I highly recommend you get their masala chai too if you go because it is very good. Overall, its one of those places you can reach for if you're in the mood for something like Indian street food and I personally don't think you'll be upset with what you get.
