From left to right, Curried Goat, Curried Lamb, rice

First time here. Was conveniently located next to the Hilton Garden Inn and we were hungry for Indian. The place was pretty empty for a mid week evening, generally a warning sign, but I decided not to listen to my Spidey senses. We ordered the curried lamb, curried goat and vegetarian butter chicken (paneer) for our vege friend and Naan. The food was quite tasty and plentiful portions (could have fed 6 people easily instead of the three of us). The heat level was good for medium spice. Service was non existent. Even though there were only two tables. Once the food was served it was if we didn't exist. All in all, the food quality is king for me and we enjoyed the meal. As for the service, the manager needs to have chat with their staff! That was inexcusable. I would have given 5 stars it wasn't for the poor service.

After trying dosa for the first time, we were interested in trying it again and decided upon a late weekend lunch here. We ordered the Tandoori Momos, Masala Dosa, Bhatura Choley, Palak Paneer (comes with rice) and two Naans to share between four adults. One of our party is meat lover, but he thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian meal as each dish was so flavorful and full of varying textures. All the dishes were great, but my personal favorite was the Masala Dosa that came with tangy sambhar dal (lentil broth), chutney, and a side of stewed potato. I really liked the crispy crunch of the dosa, which paired so well with the softer stewed sides. We went through the dal so quickly, our waitress was kind enough to get us another small bowl to finish our dosa with. We ended our meal with Gulab Jamun and Malai Kulfi. For those with a sweet tooth, the Gulab Jamun is right up your ally as it is almost like a timbit swimming in sweet sugar syrup. I prefered the Malai Kulfi as it was lighter and had an almost creamy yogurt flavor.

Bhai's Indian Canteen has amazing service. My companion and I really appreciated the attention to detailed especially in the mist of the pandemic. Patrons were sectioned off into corners of the restaurant. My companion adored the food the second time around. We had Channa with Bhatoora and Aloo with Poori. The staff shared that they are known for the Channa dish and that it can be made with no onions and garlic. Again, this level of attention to detail is great appreciated! My companion especially loved the fluffy, and crisp Bhatoora! He kept repeating to himself as he indulged into the dish that it is sooooooo fluffy. Overall, we are pretty happy with Bhai's food and service! Look forward to our next visit!

This Indian place only sells vegetarian food. It gets 4.5. The vada pav was pretty good. Both bun & patty were crispy. The patty was pretty tasty & the chutney was pretty good. The vada pav was spicy, but not too spicy. Interestingly enough it was served with plain potato chips & sliced onion.

Good vegetarian place. I love their chai and parantha plate. Service is generally slow. My one complaint is that the food is not consistent. The crispy cauliflower was really good yesterday but really soggy last time we went there

Lunch at Bhai's.. hmm this place seems to be a popular spot which means it's certainly a must try. This restaurant is located in the Richmond hill area. Getting to this place is easy on the GPS. As we got it there was no wait which gave a nice feeling already. The inside of the restaurant is pretty interesting. The colors used on their interior is catchy. We sat down and ordered for a batura, vada pav and Chai. The vada pav and channa Batura were very nice in taste. The Batura Especially was well made and not too oily on the outside. The thing I liked most was their Chai. They served the chai with few biscuits. I liked their presentation on that. The staff were patient to explain and the food was delivered fast enough. The price however was a little on the higher side. They have quiet a few interesting items on their menu which definitely will require multiple visits. I think this place is worth a try for sure. I will definitely go again .

I like the concept of Indian vegetarian restaurant. I enjoyed my visit at Bhai's Indian Canteen. Lunch though has a limited menu but I like how it is set up so I can have a taste of a few items, especially I usually dine in alone. The decor is refreshingly modern with an Indian flair. Tiffin Shiffin": Choley Sholey Tey Palak Paneer serves in small tin container with rice and naan. I enjoyed the flavour but the portion definitely on the smaller size for the price. But good thing is that means I have room for dessert! I ended up ordering Galub Jamum, Sweet!! I have yet come for dinner but seems like a good choice to come with some of my vegetarian friends so we can enjoy the food together!

A vegetarian Indian restaurant going off the theme of Indian street food - sounded like a really great idea until it didn't. They've shortened their lunch menu to include only ten "express" items now, cutting out a bunch of the chaat options. I'm okay with a smaller menu if it delivers, but unfortunately it didn't really. The lunch tiffin portion sizes are incredibly stingy for $15 and the flavors don't really come through. The butter paneer masala tasted sort of like a Haldiram's frozen package of paneer, and the tomato soup also tasted like it came from a packet. I enjoyed the gangan burger though (veggie burger with hakka noodles). I'm giving this place 3 stars because the server was very friendly throughout the meal, which goes a long way. Maybe it'd be better to come here for dinner so you can dine off their bigger menu.

As the vegetarian spin-off of The Host, Bhai`s is hidden away and tucked in the East Beaver Creek plaza. First off, I am always a sucker for vegetarian eats. It is even more impressive when you`ve walked away from a meat-less meal, not noticing that it was, in fact, meatless. I feel that it`s a bit late for me to realize this, but apparently Indian cuisine is quite well known for being vegetarian. (Ambience:) When me and my friend first walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by how decorative the place was. It had Indian-style furnishings and we were even served curry in little tin pots. I really enjoy these little things as it adds to the experience. (Food:) I got the PANEER BUTTER MASALA which came with two little tin pots of homemade cheese curry and lentil puree. I definitely liked the curry better than the puree, but both were nice. I tried the pakora for the first time (not bad) and love that it comes with both rice and naan, so you can dip either into the sauces. My friend got the BHARTHA, which was basically the same as mine, excepted she got mashed eggplant in the tin pot (SO GOOD) (Drinks:) The set lunch came with free CHAI TEA which complements the meal quite well. (Price:) Both set lunches were part of the Express Lunch Menu: $15 (Service:) Amazing service! All the servers were so nice, and one of them even gave us an extra samosa so we could try it! (Overall:) I liked it! But, Rajdhani Sweets was still best and deserved my 5 stars.

I was initially hesitant to try this place, as it only serves vegetarian food (and I love my butter chicken and lamb curry), but I was pleasantly surprised! My partner and I ordered: 1) Paneer butter masala ($12.50) - Absolutely delicious! One of the better paneer butter masala I've had! This was definitely the better of the two curries we ordered. We just could not stop eating this - we had to get another order of naan to soak all the sauce up. 2) Chana masala (chickpea curry - $9.95) - Delicious as well but I've definitely had better. I would opt to try another curry next time. 3) Tandoori momos (dumplings with chilli garlic marinade - $11.50) - This was recommended by our server as she said it's her favourite appetizer and at first, I was skeptical.. how yummy could dumplings be? This was sooo good and so flavourful, although I'm not sure if it's worth almost $12. 4) Naan (less than $2 for 3 pieces) - Warm and soft with slightly crisp edges! I love my curries spicy, and this place does not skimp on its spices - However, if you're a person who can't handle spice at all, make sure that you let them know ahead of time.

    Palak paneer tiffin shiffin

Bhai's Canteen is a bit hard to find, but it's a really awesome spot for some vegetarian Indian cuisine. I really love vegetarian options and seeing that this place was entirely vegetarian was great! Immediately upon entering you are greeted with a warm aroma of spice and great smelling food. The ambience is also great - it's really nicely decorated. Upon entering, I was seated immediately. The menu, though descriptive, was a bit hard to understand as I didn't know which dishes were stand alone a or had accompaniments, but the waiter was quite to help and answer any questions. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, I decided on paneer "tiffin shiffin" which comes in little metal dishes stacked on top of each other. The dishes appear small but they are packed to the brim, and you actually get quite a bit of food. I had a hard time finishing all my food. The presentation is perfect for sharing though! The food arrived quite swiftly, I was really impressed by the wait time. The meal also came with some fresh naan, which was great! The curries themselves were very fresh and flavourful. The dishes taste quite authentic. The pricing was a bit high, but definitely worth it. All in all, a solid choice for Indian or vegetarian cuisine!

"There is a bit of vegetarian in all of us"... Not me! I'm 100% vegan! I honestly gave up on Indian restaurants in the GTA area long time ago, but I decided to pay this one a visit since its vegetarian. I'm so glad that I did! I ordered the masala biryani (no yogurt). It was served in a clay dish. It was delicious and flavorful. I also tried their masala dosa. It was a bit oily but delicious nonetheless. They do offer "Hakka Chinese" items in case you prefer Chinese food. Great service, decent portions, and reasonable prices. Overall this is one of the best Indian restaurant that I have visited in the area and I strongly recommend it. I'm definitely coming back.

Prices were on the high end, and the menu wasn't the easiest to navigate--especially if you're not familiar with Indian cuisine like me. For instance, I ordered the Aloo Parantha expecting it to be similar to samosas filling, but it turned out to be spicier than anticipated. Food wise, both the mango lassi and samosas were good, but very pricey for what it is. I didn't enjoy the paneer, but I believe that's more a personal preference than a flaw in preparation. The lamb roganjosh came with more meat than I expected, which was great, and the lamb itself was tender--but the curry felt like it was missing something flavor-wise. I've never had this dish elsewhere, but it just didn't seem to live up to the description from the menu. One thing that really bugged me: several of us ordered garlic naans and we expected them to be served separately since they were ordered separately. Instead, they combined multiple orders into two plates, which made it a bit inconvenient since the half of the orders were placed at the other end of the table. It's a minor thing, but with a restaurant positioned as fine cuisine, individual plating would have been better. In summary, it wasn't a bad meal, but it didn't really stand out either--and for the price, I expected a bit more.

I thought it was not bad. Over all for the price was not bad. I would caution that some meat was not cooked fully the host did get it recooked but it was not fully cooked. The bread was freshly made. The other I'm not sure Inside The place was very clean and nice. The tables were nice and very clean. It was small but felt nice. Washroom also not bad. Host Very nice but at some point he could use some help. Over all it's a nice place but I'm not sure if I would go back. It's far for me and other place are near me.

We had the appetizer platter, the tandoori platter, the masala dosa, beef rogan josh, and fish madras. You order rice and naan separately, so we ordered one rice and two naan for four people. I can't recommend the appetizer platter and tandoori platter enough!! You get so much for the price and get to try a bit of everything. The appetizer platter came loaded with various fried goodies. I loved the freshly made samosas. The tandoori platter was the highlight of the meal for me as each type of meat was cooked so well, full of their distinct flavors but still moist and tender. It came in a sizzling smoking hot to the table and we devoured it. The two curries were also delicious, but were overshadowed by my love of the tandoori.

The textures are surprising. The food is delicious. There is a "salmon" that looks and feels just like sashimi down to the white stripes that go along each cut. They serve this on a massive kale salad with chickpeas, piles of thin carrots and a rich tahini dressing. Ive also had the "chicken". The breading is so tasty and crispy. When dipped in the sauce, could really fool you into thinking its chicken. Also have tried the mac and cheese and fried rice. Their drinks/ smoothies are delivious too. I recommend the avocado. Wasnt a fan of the bbq pork buns(dry and not enough filling). I removed 1 star for the customer service. Ive dined here at least 3 times and each time, minimal enthusiasm/elaborating when inquiring more about the menu items.
