The coffee shop at Kesley's Bookshop is a hidden gem. It is usually far less crowded than the Costa down the road and the quality of the food and drink is superb.
Today, I had a ham and cheese panini which was so nice! Every bite contained flavour and bite. It was completely handmade as well, and not just a toaster job like in Costa. On the side were some ready salted crisps which were a nice touch.
To drink I had a vanilla milkshake which was also very nice. It was very rich and sweet and complimented the panini very nicely.
Before I left I visited the toilet which was very clean and had plenty of paper towels, soap and toilet paper. The walls were filled with pictures of boats which was fitting for the setting!
I would imagine that it gets pretty busy with yummy mummies taking their precious baby-boos out for some porridge while they gossip away about their no good dirty rotten cheating boyfriends. The decor of the place just seemed like that would happen, with a kids corner and colourful clocks covering the walls.
No visit is complete without a wander around the famous bookshop which it is connected to after! read more
