Both were really tasty but my preferences would be Dal Tadka. It was thicker and had a really great flavor. Naan was very soft and amazing with the Dals. There was not a lot of paneer in the dish. The kadai chicken, also another dish we get elsewhere, was spiced in a way that didn't appeal to me- and there was not a lot of meat. One thing I didn't like; is that they use whole chicken pieces on the bone in their curries, rather than boneless. This is just personal preference, and did not play into my rating. The service was excellent! Very friendly and helpful to my friend who knew very little about Indian cuisine. When I ordered "extra spicy" the server made sure to clarify how spicy I could tolerate. The ambience is nice. When you first walk in you are greeted by the smell of their amazing curry. There is music and TV (with captions). The place is ran by a wonderful family whose small children will poke their faces out, smile and wave, and then retreat back out of the public space shyly. Adorable. This restaurant is family friendly and an excellent place for an introduction to Indian cuisine. Their menu also has donairs and poutine for people with more westernized tastes.
