I have had the need to come here on various occasions (lower back, foot problems) and every time I've been here I've had nothing but exceptional service. From the warm greeting of the entire front desk staff, to the kindness and assistance provided by all the Physical Therapy Aides, to the care and expertise of the Physical Therapists themselves. I especially want to acknowledge the gentile bed side manners of Lucinda Quesada (PT Aide). She always welcomes me with a warm smile and an even warmer goodbye. She is meticulous and takes her time to explain clearly the specific exercises that are required as part of my plan of care. I also want to acknowledge two of the therapists, Christopher Jones and Payam Zarrinpour., both are exceptional. They are patient, knowledgeable, and truly take the time to understand my needs and concerns. They have a wide depth and breath of knowledge in physiology and human anatomy. But more importantly, I sincerely appreciate their sense of humor. Not only do their treatments make me feel better but their personality brings out a healthy hearty laugh in me every time. Sure there are many other PT centers. Some much larger, better equipped, and providing a huge suite of services . I know because I have been to some of them too. But IMHO what makes ActiveCare stand out among the rest is their genuine desire and focus to heal you in an environment that is not clinical but rather very family like. I chose Active Care as I had previously used them many years ago for a back issue. My physical therapist was Payam Zarrinpour. Well he worked wonders ! I had two separate rounds of therapy and exercise and it cured my frozen shoulder. Today I was diagnosed with torn MCL in my left knee again my doctor prescribed PT. I went right back to active care to seek Payam's help! I'm sure in a month I'll be back to my old self skiing away!

I am now seeing surgeons for adult scoliosis surgery. I guess my scoliosis curve didn't show up on her lousy x-ray. That's a 45 degree curve mind you! Talk about incompetence. I have never seen a PA without seeing the surgeon too. Now my curve is worse than when I went to the Advanced Spine Center. I guess their name really means we won't help you unless your spinal deformity is so advanced that you can barely walk. What a huge miss. How AI keeps generating this practice as a top option for adult scoliosis surgery must be a glitch of some sort. It can't be for real. And what kind of sense does it make to have your patients who are in excruciating pain wait 4 hours to SEE THE PA NOT EVEN THE SURGEON! I did ask a couple of times while I was waiting how much longer it would be and the really rude receptionist kept saying "it shouldn't be much longer". I guess I'm the idiot for believing her. I would have left but I had already invested so much time in waiting, I was sure if I left it would have been just that minute before they called my name. So I stayed. If you're being referred to this group I have to wonder who referred you and how much confidence you should have in that referring physician if they think these guys are really great. And if you have some rare, hardly known disease or an injury, they are entirely worth a visit -- or several. For me, I had tried several different physical therapy places. This over a range of time, somewhere in the 2000-aughts to now. It was usually a failure. Places that cannot do aught but follow the script will not be able to work with all. That script includes: - Three sets of 10 - Losing the patient's interest - not adjusting the exercises to fit the individual's need Those are the three big ones for me. It sounds so weird to anyone who has the ability to concentrate, keep the count, not get lost in music (but I really need that, so there is not as much input on my part with dead silence), and adult-onset dystrophia myotonia D-PROMM Type II is an infrequently mentioned disease. But at this SportsCare, I have gotten to know everyone (just about). The first person I had met was Michael Cote, a fun, smart 29-year-old guy (at the time - he may have hit the BIG 3-0 now!); I learned something very, very important: I can learn a lot from a "kid" of 30 (I'm 58 now) as I can a person of 85. I love that. He taught me a lot of the world that I just did not know. And I learn from every one of them: Tim, who just had a daughter; Ron, who loves punk music; Sophie, who hails from Michigan (a lovely state); Gina, who is sweet! Chelsea, David...I haven't the room to name them all. They are all very committed, have worked with all my specific oddities, and for me, this is a lifetime endeavour. With the folks here as dedicated as they are, I don't mind the prospect nearly so much. Every physical challenge I face, they are invested in swapping out various exercises, movements, I videoed my very difficult getting up the stairs in our house, and they have it, look at it to determine the next steps. THAT is truly the love of the art! They all try so hard to work with me -- and utterly succeed. No question.

The therapists I worked with, Mike, Adrian, and Natalie, as well as assistants Andy, Wes, and Julian, were all extremely knowledgeable and personable throughout my time with them. Staff was nice/friendly, however everything else not-so-good! The organization charged me a separate fee just for my after-visit summary notes. This is in addition to my co-pays and everything the insurance paid. There was no prior discussion regarding this. I have never paid for after-summary visit notes which I should have access to. Patients need two separate portals regarding transacting business with this organization rather than just one especially for summary notes, billing... ZERO way to actually message the organization through either of the portals. This is a major red flag. No weekend hours: Really? People work and have school. Obviously not enough business to staff the weekends like other physical therapy organizations do. During my sessions my back was injured with a new injury caused directly by the physical therapy. I contacted both my personal physical therapist and the organization through email and was ignored. Thanks! They cannot even get their address right (Website and business cards) as there are multiple buildings in the parking area and their building is not identified. There are many other physical therapy organizations in the area, so I suggest not using this one.
