Parking here is awful as this venue is located in a residential area. Add in extra time for parking. Atmosphere: low lighting and dated. If you're tall, you'll should purchase a row that doesn't have seats in front of you of you so that you can stretch your legs out, other wise you'll have bruises on your knees from them being against the seat in front of you. They really need an upgrade to these seats. The Tower theatre closed and this location reminds me of that's venue. Overall if you don't mind the look and tight seats you'll enjoy a concert. read more

An absolutely lovely venue to see a band! I saw The Magnetic Fields here in April 2025, and loved the no-nonsense seating and stage. The theater resembled my high-school auditorium in a good way, and the entire ambiance was one of intimacy. I'd gladly make the hour-plus drive to see a band perform here. The beer selection was decent, and there's a pre-show bar/lounge area worth checking out. I found street parking two blocks away, and the area seemed cute enough to visit before the show. Some great elements: + Parking is very easy with unmetered lots and spots all around the venue. + The sound system is very good so your favorite acts will be crystal clear. + Staff here is very sweet and clearly care a lot about their theatre. + Good bar selection and decent prices. The acts that come through range from bizarre to well-known. Love the Keswick, nice old school venue in a really cute little spot in Glenside. They get some good acts to come through and the prices aren't outrageous. It is a very old venue, it's going to turn 100 in a few years. The seats are a bit tight and for whatever reason it's not a place people get up and dance. Maybe they cater to a more mature crowd but people mainly stay seated with the die hard dancers on the side or in the aisles. The bathrooms are also a bit tight, they squeeEd whatever plumbing they could in there. It is a cool venue though, and the staff is really nice. Concessions are limited to candy, not much to eat here but there are some good local places right across the street including both a pizza shop and burger place, both of which I recommend trying before a show. read more

If you are a large human - by weight or height, this will be a nightmare for you. Knees up against the chair in front of you for 3 hours was awful. Felt squished into the seat and close to my neighbor that I didn't know. The views to the stage were good and the bar/concession stand were good and the lines went fast. Parking is to be expected and not too terrible. read more

As other reviews say, the seats are wildly uncomfortable. (All have a great view of the stage though!) Major complaint is that the staff did nothing about audience members talking through the entire show, recording/texting/taking pictures, etc. The people out buying drinks during the show were so loud and no one did anything. Bizarre. Our show had no intermission so it was impossible to try to alert staff without making 7 people stand up to let us pass. Too expensive to have mediocre seats and have drunk patrons ruin the show. Such a bummer. read more

Really enjoyed my visit to the Keswick theater. They seemed really organized and had a very easy entrance. Parking is a little challenging but we managed to find some free street parking a few blocks away. The seats are a little weird as they move when you sit down but I felt like I was able to see really well. The acoustics were nice. We had a long merch line but the workers did a great job at organizing us. I would definitely see something else at the Keswick theater. Thanks for a great show. read more

I was here for the first time a little over a year ago and then again last week. It's a great theater with so many wonderful shows! There are two parking lots behind the theater although we've never had luck with those so we find street parking which isn't bad. Usually a block or two away. The theater also just expanded and now their box office and will call is inside along with a new bar and seating area. It was very nice and the drinks were priced right, not crazy expensive. Yes, the seats are ridiculous. does not look like the money is there to fix that. The PA and lighting are certainly good enough. They have a bigger problem, and that is the absolute Hostile people that screen you at the entrance. you will walk thru a metal detector and then will be wand by these absolute ASSHOLES who are yelling at you the whole time that you didn't follow the rules. It's so apparent they don't like white people. Management has to know this but ignore it. Never Again, Good Riddance. read more

What a beautiful venue and whole downtown area!!! We went on 08/10/24 to see The Little River Band. The sound system was incredible, as was the band! The opening act, SAHARA MOON, wow'd me! Sahara's voice is nothing short of angelic, and her sweet personality matches. Look her up on Facebook or Insta! I absolutely loved Sahara's voice and music. Actually, her whole vibe! Just trust me on this - I have a great ear for music and my partner has been playing music for almost all of his life. He enjoyed her a lot too. Unfortunately, I was having really bad back cramps and wasn't quite myself. I barely looked around, which I usually do. Hell, I only took one picture! The staff was super duper! Seats were a bit uncomfortable, but you are in an old building. We are going to go back in the future and have dinner downtown prior - I have my eye on an adorable dumpling spot! read more

This is one of those theaters where every seat is a good seat. The air is on, but it 8s not that cool in the room. Old seating but decent room even for a 6ft guy like myself. Their is a bar you can enjoy before coming in the theater. And a movie type theater concession stand that has little snacks you can purchase. Nice spot of a comedy show read more

A friend and I saw Marc Maron at the Keswick a few weeks ago, and it was an okay venue. It had some historic charm, a great location, and two bars (nice, considering the venue is on the smaller side). But the chairs weren't just wildly uncomfortable (I could overlook that since they seem original) but they slid around!! I'm not even sure how this is possible - like the chairs have separated from the base? But I had to sit carefully so I didn't slide around! Overall, not a bad place for a comedy show! read more

The good old, with emphasis on OLD Keswick Theater. I've seen many an act here. Everyone from Tuck & Patti to Andreas Vollenweider. It has great history, lore, and fondness. It just sorely needs to be renovated. Update all sound systems and mechanicals. But, keep that Keswick charm. read more

Charming historic theaters like this must thrive as smaller performance venues and cultural icons. The axs app they use for ticketing is pretty solid and all the ushers were completely helpful. The bathrooms are upstairs- I did not check for an elevator. I doubt it because the stalls themselves are insanely cramped, but serviceable. The parking lot around does fill up EARLY- I am talking more than 90 min. But the side streets are a lot of open free parking and easy walking in nice weather. The restaurants around the venue are great and they get busy but not overwhelmed before a show. I admit the same complaints about the weird awkward seats but I can't see them being replaced anytime soon. I love that there is a place to enjoy entertainment live without breaking the bank and enjoying a nice evening out. Hope to return many times! read more

Went to get a paper ticket and was told 10 dollars. Indian Creek charged nothing. the water they serve is not up to stranded. tasted like sand!!! The seats are like sitting in a 5 year old chair. A huge disappointment! My husband and I had to leave after 20 minutes because the music was soooooo loud that we attempted to plug our ears to no avail. We were unable to even make out the lyrics because the speakers were blaring. Not only a waste of $200 for 2 tickets to a venue that is on its last leg. The auditorium looked to be less than 50% occupied, the seats are rotting and rusted and you fall into the seats that are in desperate need of repairs, a major redo or demolition. Truly pathetic. Very pretty place with good acoustics and some good middle tear bands at affordable prices. AXS is the most annoying ticketing service ever. Saw an opening band and waited in a triple looping rest room line for 25 plus minutes. There were still people in line when the first of dual headliners came on. The bathroom situation was worse between the headlining bands. I walked out at intermission. To be honest I saw a great show from the band that I wanted to see,(I'm with her) but I still wanted to see the other band and to hear their 5 or so collabs to end the evening. A lovely night until I was shut off from one mens room and directed to another long line at the adjacent bars one room basement facility with another long line. For theater, opera house venues for medium size bands, the Met and the Wilmington Grand blow this place away. read more

We stopped here to see a comedy show. It was located in a quaint cute little town in Philadelphia. There is no parking. Street parking was available throughout the surrounding residential neighborhood. There was not a bad seat in the house but I have to say.. We absolutely hated the old vintage seats that seemed to glide forward and backwards into the neighbor's personal space behind you. Also, the speakers were extremely loud at times during the show. This theatre could use a little TLC and was a little dated. We did enjoy the show. read more

What's the old line about blind dates... she may not be beautiful but she's got a great "personality." Well, ole' Miss Keswick from Glenside Pennsylvania is certainly fun and full of surprises but unfortunately, she's going to crack her share of mirrors along the way. This is a building with quirk and charm to spare having played host to everyone from Al Jolson, Al Green and Weird Al Yankovic over the course of her 90+ year run. However, while I can admire the singular pleasures of longevity and living history, the Keswick's ancient infrastructure needs some serious work. Although no one is expecting luxury boxes or modern amenities the near-original seating is so threadbare and worn that the CIA would probably find enhanced interrogation here worthwhile not to mention the lungful of Vaudevillian mustiness that should require a spike of penicillin from the snack bar. While I may love rock 'n roll, emphysema, I'm not so crazy about. The Keswick is still a great place to see a show but word to the wise, bring some oxygen and a seat cushion just in case. read more

I went last night with my wife and brother to see The Princess Bride. We paid a premium for VIP seats. We don't mind paying the premium but the value for it was definitely not there. The movie was, of course, enjoyable. We sat in the front and the sound system was troubling at points, unclear. Everyone sitting near us agreed. The staff who help with seating are very helpful. We were part of the crowd waiting for the meet and greet. This seemed unorganized. The lady in charge was making announcements but no one could hear what she was saying even though she was told repeatedly we could not hear her. It took a while to even start the part of the evening and then we waited an hour and still there was a huge amount of people in front of us and the line was moving really rather slowly. We finally left without meeting Cary as it was far too late and we had other commitments. The seats are rather uncomfortable. I have gone to the Keswick for years and this is always a significant drawback. After last night I think we are dropping the Keswick as a venue we'll go to for shows. It's a shame. read more

I came to the Keswick Theater to see Vic Dibitetto. It was my first time here and probably won't be my last. It was an easy train ride from Philly and then a short walk from the train station to the theater (under 10 min walk). The show was excellent and we were laughing the whole time. We sat kind of in the middle and we had no one in front of us so we had a perfect view of the stage. The theater itself is pretty old looking - but the sound and the layout was great. Def a nice place to see a show. read more

Came here quite a few times to see a few times to see different shows. The first time was to see a comedian named Tom Papa and the second was to see a Bruce Springsteen impersonator performing a concert which was pretty awesome! Both times I had come the facility was clean, the staff was friendly and took the time to assist you with your seats and were there to answer any questions that you had. Its an old theater and probably one of the oldest ones I have ever been in and it has the nostalgic feeling as soon as you walk in the doors. Even the ticket booth is old fashioned and makes you feel like you are back in time. This venue serves alcohol which is always a plus and has some light snacks like popcorn and pretzels. I love the theater and the staff is always great! The only downfall is the parking situation. I had to park like four blocks away from the theater because there wasn't any parking lot attached to the building. read more

The seats are a bit cramped but at least they recline and there's leg room... some leg room. The acoustics in this place are not really that great. Maybe it's the Extreme/Living Colour show I went to see where they put too much treble in it or it was way too loud for the venue itself.... but it's typical concert venue sound where they put all the speakers in the front and it sounds good only if you're in the back.... kind of like Electric Factory. But one thing about this place is parking. It's annoying to park here. The lot in the back is too small for the venue size, so people will find metered parking on many roads but still not enough for the venue.... so you'll find a train station up the road on Glenside Rd and then you'll have to trek down to the theater. This is probably your best option. Find a connecting train station on that route and park there. Park for maybe a couple of bucks and go back to the train station and down to the theater about 0.5 mi away. Keep in mind that the show I was seeing was sold out so parking was tough. The neighboring areas are all white bred type locations so they won't let you park on their streets... there is, however, a lot I found up the street that no one was parking at just off Glenside Rd where it's 25c per hour and only takes cash at the machine... it's well lit and my car was fine when I got back. For $1, it wasn't bad. But the best part about this community lot (and the train station right near it that I referred to earlier), is that there's the 22 bus that goes up and down Easton Road once an hour in both directions. If you can't do the 0.5 mi trek up very steep hills (like me), this bus will get you right up to the road where it's a very short walk to the theater. I *highly* recommend checking bus times and train times and you'll find it much easier to get to this place if you're from out of town. read more

I would love for them to keep the character while sprucing it up a bit, it's not like the tickets for events are inexpensive so it would be amazing if they put some work into the theatre. I love this local venue in Glenside, PA. The Keswick attracts top performers, the ticket prices are reasonable and there isn't a bad seat in the house. I've been coming here for years but recently they updated the lobby and bar areas with an opened up floor plan which greatly increased the traffic pattern. Love this gem of a place! read more

The show with Gary Owens would have been better if the music wasn't loud. People were coming in late, and we had to get up several times to let the couple next to us go to the bar and restroom. the lady next to us was so loud my ear was throbbing she was intoxicated and fell on the seat when we got up to let her out again. In the middle of the show some people were arguing. That was the worst experience we had at the Keswick Theater, so my husband and I decided to go to a comedy club next time or stay home and watch the shows on TV where its free and peaceful. read more

Super Duper neighborhood theatre in Glenside, Pa. Was last there to see Lindsey Buckingham in the summer. Great show, great seats and reasonable ticket prices. Every once in a while you can pick up tixs for half price on GOLDSTAR.Com. They don't kill you on the fees as the big ticket sellers do. Just picked up a pair of tickets on AXS to see Vic Betto for a February show. One of the funniest comedians ever. Go onto Keswick.com for tickets. Free parking directly in back of the theatre. All tickets are "will call". Park your car first and pick up your free parking pass when you pick up your tickets. Walk back to your car and place the pass on your dashboard. Also a great place to eat also directly across the street. Reservations a must on show nights. read more

I've enjoyed a few shows here and it is a nice theater. My complaint is of a particular terrible experience with a security guard who was extremely abusive. Everyone was standing watching Michael Schenker. It's a metal show and of course people are standing. This security guard decided my friend should be seated. Not me or any of the hundreds of other people standing, just my friend who wasn't bothering anyone. There were people behind us who couldn't stand, we suggested they just come sit next to us in the empty seats. The security guard refused and proceded to stand in front of me, I guess in a lame attempt to instigate me into a physical confrontation, but instead I just photographed and filmed him doing this and showed them to the general manager and head of security. The theater says they are taking disciplinary action and that they will comp us for a future show. I will update or replace my review when they come through on this promise. This security guard should not be in a position of authority, he is a bully. read more

Unfortunately, I've probably attended my last show at the Keswick. Spyro Gyra played there last Saturday, March 9th. The shows themselves are great, but it's a very uncomfortable place for seating; the seats are old, small, narrow, and not staggered by row - they're directly behind each other, which means that the person in front of you is dead center in your sight line, and leaning to the left or right is the only way to see the stage. The theatre itself has been in stages of renovation for many years, and there's still a large spot of white, unfinished plaster at the top center peak of the stage. The sound system is good, and it's a very busy place with a full schedule. In looking at the other reviews, many of them have complaints about the uncomfortable seating, similar to mine. With the amount of shows that are performed there, one might think that the old (almost 100 years) place deserves some new seats, but as long as they're successful in selling the old seats, it probably won't happen, which is unfortunate. One more thing - Why on Earth would someone wear a hat inside an indoor concert venue? Several of the men in attendance were wearing hats of various shapes and sizes, and never bothered to take them off during the performance, including the clueless gentleman seated directly in front of me. read more

Saw the BTE show last night @ the Keswick. This venue is amazing! More accurately, the people working for the Keswick were absolutely amazing and accommodating. I'm in a wheelchair and going out is difficult, especially in crowds. From the second I pulled up there was a lady who helped get my van parked and got me and my party inside. She stayed with me until I was settled up front. She really made me feel welcomed and at ease. Even my service dog was welcomed. If I could I would see every concert at the Keswick. Their ticketing process is horrible. Firstly, the more seats you try to buy together , the more the price per seat goes up. You're basically being penalized for buying more seats. It seems like it should go down if anything. Secondly, three months later, multiple calls to the ticketing system, multiple returned emails, I still cannot visualize my tickets through their AXS website that they use. read more
