The space has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for a casual night out. We ordered: * Papaya salad * Wasabi shrimp ceviche * Steak Stuffed Wings: hands down the highlight of the night. It was such a creative, flavorful, and absolutely delicious dish. Every dish felt thoughtful and full of personality. They are creative but not over the top. Would definitely come back again next time I'm in Montreal.

I had a Lucy Liu which was delicious and had a little kick to it. The Thai basil was great counterpoint. The service was helpful and prompt and the gentleman knew the menu well. We started with the pork belly and shrimp chip combo that was in a slight sauce of red curry. The spices and flavor were delicious. We also ordered the pickled vegetables which was refreshing contrast to the meat. We also ordered stuffed chicken wings and green papaya salad. We ended with the desert of mango with sticky rice. The mango was perfectly ripe and sweet and tart enough to contrast with the coconut milk sweetened sticky rice. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the cooks work in the kitchen. The space and ambiance were lovely.

Sadly, we've moved away from Montreal, but make certain we come to this establishment each time we visit family in Montreal. We always get the hi tieu nam vang kho (dry version). It's delicious! The service is always good and friendly. From what I recall, it's cash only, but reasonably priced.

Their menu is small - only 9 items (no vegetarian options) - but they do their menu amazingly. I have yet to eat at restaurant that serves better Hu Tiu on the east coast. What's more, my parents love it and they say it truly brings them back to Vietnam. While I highly recommend their Hiu Tiu and Mi (which you can get with broth or dry/broth on the side), they also have amazing rice and vermicelli plates too. The staff are very friendly and attendant. Service is fairly quick. The restaurant itself is small, but very clean on the inside. As a side note, the hot tea they serve is so fragrant and delicious - it compliments the meal well. Overall, very happy by this discovery and stop and I highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! Some notes to keep in mind: - This is a CASH ONLY business - For those who have difficulty getting around... It's a little over a mile from the Cote-des-Neiges station, but an easy walk (nearby bus stops too) -There isn't any sort of accessible entrance into the restaurant itself as there are a good amount of stair to go up, so keep that in mind!

+.5 for service My…read moredad found this restaurant on Instagram and linked me videos of the ambiance and some of the food here. It looked cool, so I told my parents we'll go on our way back home to Toronto from Quebec City. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, and I'll admit the waiting area isn't the best. When we finally got our table, it was tucked in the corner of the restaurant by the windows. Thankfully it was insulated well despite a cold night. The food concept is pretty unique here, as Southeast Asian cuisine isn't too common overall. We decided to share a bunch of dishes to increase the variety of foods. Pork Belly Steamed Buns - Excellent Laksa Soup with Chicken - Excellent, and I like how they separated the satay on a spoon. Satay Babi - This was an item from their special menu, which is basically satay pork skewers. It was also very good. Fried chicken - Nothing special, could probably skip this. Char kway teow - Very uniquely done. I wasn't expecting clams on it, and it was an excellent addition. Service was also amazing. There are some other dishes that I wasn't able to try, and I would say the uniqueness of this place will entice me to return here.
