Pain medications are routinely NOT prescribed, because he doesn't believe in pain that needs more than a 500mg acetaminophen. Labs are delayed, even when it's potentially life- altering. Hospital visits don't happen because he doesn't get paid if the patient isn't under his immediate care. He let my parent die by ignoring a serious infection and not sending them to the hospital, then lied and said it got to bad too quick for him to do anything but recommend hospice. He never spoke to the family, barely saw the patient, and we had to get all our information from the nurses. Dr Robert Hunter - Are you that cruel, or just that incompetent? I recently spent time at Kettering Medical Center while my mom was having surgery, and I have to…read moresay, this place goes above and beyond the "typical hospital" experience. The surgery went very well (huge relief), and every single staff member we encountered was supportive, kind, and genuinely friendly. Hospitals can be stressful places, but the people here do an amazing job of making you feel cared for and not just like "Patient #342B." The facility itself is spotless and surprisingly warm for a hospital setting. It doesn't feel cold or sterile, it almost feels like more than a hospital, like a place designed to comfort as much as it heals. There are plenty of waiting areas, good signage so you don't get lost in a maze of hallways, and even a cafeteria in the basement (Cafe on the Boulevard) for when you need a break and a burger. On a personal note, I was here 15 years ago to give birth to my daughter, and it's remarkable how much the center has improved since then. They've continued to grow, modernize, and somehow get even better at what they do. If you're looking for a hospital that combines top-notch medical care with a team of people who treat you with genuine kindness, Kettering Medical Center is it. No one wants to spend time at a hospital, but if you have to, this is a pretty great place to be.

The nurse refused to give her a pain patch, wanting her to swallow pills instead, which she won't. Hospice refused to help her with her pain management unless she did it their way. The attendant was rough bathing her, talked sharply to her and also to me on the phone. The nurse told me if my sister didn't cooperate more, they would take her out of Hospice care which they just did without notifying me. Thank heavens the facility called me right away. Fortunately, another Hospice picked her up immediately. Having had family members in another Hospice previously, I was shocked by the treatment she has received. My sister is well liked by all the caregivers at the facility she is at and never complains about any of them, but she is terrified of this person. Do not let them care for your loved ones.

wow, wished i would have read some of these reviews prior to me and my grandmother signing her up…read morefor it. they sent her in to hospice house to get her pain medication right and she was to go back home with a plan. my grandmother never made it out of there! they never would let me speak to her always had a excuse as to why i couldn't. by the time my covid was up and was allowed back in - that night my grandma died. she was sickening drugged - my guess that is how they had her the whole time she was in there! i just can't imagine what she went thru - she must have felt abandoned! breaks my heart and my head hangs low to what unimaginable things took place there as they killed my grandmother! i am sorry grandma, if i had been permitted in this would never have happened because i would have carried you out myself! after reading on hospic and the crossroads hospic it is obvious there is a huge problem here. how can people trust them with a family member after reading my and others testimonies. sad.
