Chris and his assistant stained and sealed our driveway and garage floor and it was a perfect match…read moreto our home exterior and landscaping. Chris does not have an easy job though! I'm making a note here that one of the trickiest things about staining concrete is that the colour richness and hue does not really take hold until the seal and/or epoxy is applied. We went through this exercise during the staining process (as I expressed some concern for the lightness of the stain) and Chris explained the process with patience, kindness and consideration. At no point was I pressured, lied to, bullshitted or hustled to make a fast-decision or accept a job I was not happy with. He assured me that the colour would be what we wanted once sealed, and lo... it was. :) Chris knows what he is doing and his rate was competitive too! After almost an entire year spent renovating our home and working with a host of cast and characters from the Fresno area, Chris from Surface Solutions was like a gift from the Gods. A contractor who showed up on time, didn't cancel, answered his phone, stuck to his quote, and produced a gorgeous end-result was a sheer delight to work with. I trust Chris and his work and will be reaching out to him in the future for recommendations for other contractors to hire in the Fresno area who have a work ethic and quality of product as good as he does.

I'm going to be writing a fantastic and lengthy review for this company but first, let me tell you…read morewho I am. I am a very anal perfectionist. I can drive my wife crazy with it. I have owned numerous homes, and I have personally remodeled all of them. I know how to do wood working, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, you name it. I have used numerous contractors over my lifetime for concrete and some interior framing, and I know all about the good ones and the bad ones. You won't go wrong by hiring these guys. I can honestly say that Greg, the owner of the company, is the best contractor I have ever hired. I'll get into how beautiful the work was but first I want to say a few things about how Greg runs his projects. First and foremost, you can expect to see him there every single day. That's huge in a number of ways; number one, you get immediate answers to your questions from the man himself. Number two, he's always there to make certain his workers are doing the job correctly (BTW, most owners aren't there much). Not that it was needed though, because his workers are absolutely talented, skilled, hardworking, kind, and very helpful. They know what they're doing and honestly don't require any supervision. But still, it's very nice to have the owner there every single day. How is it that Greg has the time to be there every day? Well, I asked that very question and that was when I found out that Greg only takes on one project at a time. That's huge. It means his workers and Greg himself are there every day and your project isn't delayed because one of the other projects is taking more time than anticipated. It means that things move along quickly. Though they're not actually family, they are family. They eat lunch together almost every day and Greg has had the same workers for the past twenty years because he treats them right. It shows. Let me say the most important thing about the work that Greg does. He does it the right way. He does not cut corners. I watched every step of our project and was absolutely thrilled with the meticulous way that they do things right, to include compacting DG (decomposed granite) in a lot of the areas they were going to pour cement. Almost all the previous cement projects I've had done, did not do that. They simply poured over bare dirt, sometimes without even compacting it. I did not ask Greg to do this, that is just how he does it. He does it right. Every step of the project, to grading properly and accounting for good drainage, and building retaining walls that will stand the test of time, Greg's way of doing things is the right way. I couldn't be happier with the work that I witnessed. Greg was very willing to hear my ideas and, in most cases, we implemented them. If we didn't it was because he gave me very good advice on why to not do it the way I was thinking. His workers were always watching and listening and more than willing to make things the way you want them. I can't say enough about the workers. We put in retaining walls and tore out our old pool deck and patio. I wanted the cement around the pool to have a border design around it. What they came up with was a 12" border that was Broom finished (faint, small straight lines), with the rest of the cement done with a Sweat finish (small half circle patterns). I mentioned that I was wanting the interior control joints (cement control joints, are intentional, planned gaps cut or placed into concrete to guide cracking along a straight line rather than randomly) to be run at a 45 and not horizontal and vertical. Our pool is curvy and not rectangular or square. Greg talked me out of the 45's due to this fact but then his workers, on their own, came up with a much better solution. They made the control joints wavy and curvy as well. They brought me out to make certain I liked it (they would have changed them if I didn't) I ABSOLUTELY loved what they came up with, and mind you, it was without my prompting. What they did was artistry at its finest. It turned the control joints into a visual feature and not just a functional thing. The retaining wall is absolutely gorgeous. All of the cement is absolutely gorgeous. The workers go above and beyond what is expected. I found Greg to be very easy to work with. I found his pricing to be very fair, especially considering the fact that they go above and beyond what most cement contractors do. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend them to you.

When he gave us the quote, he explained repairs needed and what they would do. We had a new roof installed, gutters repaired, facia boards replaced that had rotted, and new vents. the crew worked fast an all showed a very professional attitude. they respected the work site, covered shrubs and landscaping during and upon completion of the job. they left the site cleaner than when they started. They told us who to expect to show up during the work day (inspectors, materials delivery and additional crew). The office staff was fantastic Leticia bent over backwards to be sure that we received the documents on time with complete accuracy. I had a difficult time opening one of the documents on my computer so she helped me change the doc so I could read it, she even printed it out for me and had it delivered before the end of the day. This company does quality work, explains procedures and covered the warranty on the roof,. The price was very reasonable and a professional installation. A well oiled machine that works very well. We highly recommend Advanced Roofing and Rain gutters
