So I have a dental phobia and had a toothache. It had been years since I went to a dentist because of it. A friend referred me to Dr Herring and I am so happy he did! The initial consultation was amazing and they were all very informative, the cost was super cheap because I had a coupon and the service great. Then I went back for a cleaning and the dental hygienist was amazing. He showed me what I need to do and made me feel comfortable. Today I had my old filings fixed and not only did I not feel the lidocaine injection at all, they were kind, quick and doctor and his assistant worked together like a well oiled machine. She even put coco butter chap stick on me through out the procedure! I said I felt like Kim Kardashian getting glammed up! The doctor is knowledgeable, great at what he does and over all for everything I had done in the last few weeks was $727! I found my new place for dental care!!! read more

Was a new patient today with a serious tooth ache. Called to ask where there address was in Prunedale and got nothing but answering machines. Finally got a call back to come in and when I got there I was treated by an extremely rude staff that told me to leave. I apologize in advance but this is going to be a long one... So I moved back to Prunedale after college and went with this office to support local business and because it was convenient. Man was I in for a long ride with a lot of time and money wasted. My plan was to get my dental work(cleaning, cavities, etc) done and also look into ortho options for a better smile since they do all dental work in the same place. The first issue occurred after doctor Herring put a temporary crown over one of my molars to only come off the next week. After that he put a permanent one and it fell of same day then went back again and I was good from there besides the color being a little off. As for the ortho treatment he recommended Invisalign for my uppers with veneers and braces for my lowers. This was where the nightmare began.. The ortho assistant placed spacers on my upper teeth prior to installing the braces only to find out 2 weeks later the spacers were suppose to only be placed on my lowers not uppers(where the braces go!). I had these on the wrong set of teeth for almost two weeks that were not only painful but delayed the whole process. On top of that the ortho assistant had no idea what she was doing and had to keep bringing in the doctor to ask questions or for assistance. The staff did apologize and gave me a $5 gift card to Starbucks, yay! Once my brackets were installed, they were so uncomfortable and I thought that was the norm. The brackets were placed way too high and kept breaking off causing me to make numerous trips to the office. Doctor then placed new brackets that finally solved the issue. After that, the assistant made impression/molds of my teeth with my braces that caused one of my wires and brackets to come off completely off. The assistant was always asking questions and clearly had 0 experience. As for the Invisalign, the process started very smooth until the staff stopped giving me my next set on a regular basis. The norm for the aligners that I was told was a new set every 4-6 wks but I would go months without getting a new set even thought they had the new set in the office. They would make me go back into the office just to get a new set of aligners(waste of time!) Through the entire process the doctor never communicated what procedures would be next and this was so frustrating. Just as some of the other reviews stated, the staff is not very friendly or professional and would not return phone calls or have answers to questions on a timely manner, I would always have to follow up. I left this office in the middle of my ortho treatment it was so bad. I would refrain from using this office but if you have to use it just for cleaning and thats it and avoid ortho at all co$t! read more

I loved my dentist, but hated the staff. They always have new staff in there and I miss Tony the old account biller. The girls in there are rude and after I called and they told me I wasnt a patient which I have been for more than 10+ years I wrote to Dr.Herring and after that they treated me like complete crap and made me feel worthless. Its very sad that staff can ruin my outlook on my favorite dentist. read more

So all my life I've never known what visiting a doctor was supposed to be like until I went to go see Dr Herring. From atmosphere of the office, to the culture, to the staff, not to mention the professionalism of the doctor himself all these things were new to me. I know for most of us going to the dentist is probably uncomfortable but I've never known what a true Dentist was supposed to be like. The attitude and customer service of all the staff is UNHEARD of in this day and age. The doctor is very knowledgeable, caring, patient, and just set my mind at ease from day one There was a zero discomfort from any of the visits. NOT even from the shot to numb me for work. He has done four crowns so far and the work is truly amazing, blows my mind the way he color matches my teeth. All I can say is this motherfu@ker is bad ass. read more

Scammed me outta 150.00 for a procedure everybody else does for free was quoted 3750.00 for braces then on day I was to make payment I find out there is going to be additional charges.. really bummed I hoped the fact they were 750.00 more then any other quote would have made them a honest company.. but Dr. has to pay for a new BMW somehow.!!! read more

Absolutely fantastic and clean office with wonderful staff. Everyone was helpful and Dr. Herring was very personable and professional. My last dentist wasn't good at communicating with me. Dr. Herring was able to explain a lot of things to me, without talking over my head. I love that it's not one of those offices that want you to fix every last thing in your mouth so they can charge you. read more

We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Herring's office. My entire family are patients of Dr. Herring and his amazing staff. We've had everything from major procedures to regular cleanings to ortho work and the 4 of us have yet to have any negative experiences. In fact, Dr. Herring and his assistants are extremely kind and gentle with very good communicative skills at all times. The staff up front are always welcoming with a smile, they make sure we are always well taken care of before and after our visits. I appreciate the precise and accommodating follow up appointments made before we leave the office and all of the reminder text messages and calls we receive beforehand. Our Ortho experience for our daughter has been AMAZING and has been no comparison, by far, to our son's experience which he had elsewhere years ago, the timeline has been on track without any interruptions. In a nutshell, almost anyone could put the finishing touches on the grill of a RollsRoyce that's been meticulously cared for, but it takes a real artist to restore the grill of an old truck, found abandoned in the back corner of a junkyard, to such a degree that it makes the RollsRoyce owner a little jealous..I feel Dr. Herring is that artist. He restored my not so well cared for "grill" with the finesse of a fine jeweler. I'm thrilled with the results, and so is he! Dr. Herring took care of my orthodontic work when I decided at 38 that I wanted braces. Having lived with crooked teeth and fangs most of my life, I was a bit apprehensive that the 2.5 years would be a painful process. Not true! I am not one to take the time to review services or products but I must make an exception for Dr. Herring and his wonderful staff. Yes of course his office is beautiful, modern, state of the art, super clean bright and friendly, but it is his expertise, kindness and highly skilled procedures that have made me a very satisfies customer. I mist say he is the very first dentist where I have looked forward to each and every one of my office visits. Would of given a 10 star if it was available. read more

I just want to say Dr. Herring is super nice and communicates well during his procedures. His staff are super nice and professional. The place is also very clean. Great place to go for basic dental work and cleanings. But my experience with my veneers are a different story. I have had to replace them twice and now looking to replace them again for a third time. The last set he used very cheap materials and now they are crumbling off piece by piece. What is even worse is that the colors do not match up at all. When I smile, my mouth looks like a checker board. He didn't even suggest correcting the colors and just put them on. Unhappy with that. So I have chosen to see a different dentist to get the job done right. They cost a lot of money so I am very disappointed that this will be my third set. Plus I eat soft foods so that they don't crumble even more. Otherwise great place to go. read more
