From the moment I got there to the time I walked out I was engaged in a really great, (no - make that really, REALLY great), conversation with Ian, while Jessica concentrated on giving me a zen belayage color treatment and laughing occasionally at what we were talking about. It was my first appointment with them, so I had literally just met them, but I honestly felt like they were old friends and I'd been going to them all my life. Oh, and I have to mention that I had trouble getting a spot in the parking lot when I got there, so I was circling around and got a call from them in the car to check on me, and I look up and there they are, (both!), in front of the building looking for me. ...Kind of like new parents! So freakin' cute. And, as I said before, the session itself was so relaxing and so much fun, but when I looked in the mirror and saw what she had done after she blew it out I was almost, I swear, literally speechless. It was gorgeous. The color, the cut, just amazing. She's very, very good. There's no pressure to buy into someone else's idea of what would look good on you, just a very talented, very professional woman who hears what you tell her, takes it in, and gives you what you were looking for, but more beautiful than you imagined. I had a consultation and during that consultation I got a hand written estimate of the total price out the door being $1457.35 for everything done. I agreed and set up an appointment with Erika and gave them a $500.00 deposit. During the appointment my hair is already being colored and then they tell me "oops! It's actually gonna be a higher price than what was told to me during my consultation." That's wrong. They will tell you a price just to get you to sit in their chair, then once you are trapped there and already getting worked on then they bring the bad news. The news that they lied. I would have been more than happy to pay the higher price; had that been discussed during my consultation. It's not about the money, it's the principle. Once you tell someone a price and it is agreed upon, you need to honor that agreement. I hope this never happens to anyone else, please please two nine salon, get your estimates correct during consultations and makes sure your employees are trained on prices. After all that, they did refund me my $500.00 deposit and I did not have to pay for what they had started as far a coloring. & they lost a $2000.00+ sale/client.

While I was there, a client came in openly talking about being in rehab and proceeded to be beyond demanding, rude, and completely unrealistic from the moment she sat down. Her hair was severely knotted, and the stylist spent over an hour carefully brushing it out--something many salons wouldn't even attempt. After that, the stylist beautifully matched her natural hair color to extensions, which objectively looked seamless and well done. Despite this, the client continuously complained, insisting the color was "wrong" and demanding it be made lighter. The stylist calmly and professionally explained that going lighter would seriously damage her already fragile hair. That advice was clearly given with the client's best interest in mind--not convenience or profit. As the extension service was nearly finished (and looked great), the client escalated--complaining loudly, creating a scene, and making it clear she was trying to avoid paying for the service altogether. Her behavior became so disruptive that the stylist, rightfully, refused to continue, and management had to ask her to leave. What stood out most was how gracefully and respectfully the entire team handled the situation. No arguing, no embarrassment tactics--just calm boundaries and professionalism. It's refreshing to see a salon that protects both its staff and its standards. Hair professionals are artists and service providers--not punching bags. This salon deserves full credit for standing by their team and maintaining class under pressure. I would trust them again in a heartbeat.
