After salons reopened due to COVID 19 I was in Desperate need of some corrective color and a cut. My highlights were 3 months grown out, brassy and yellow from sun and chlorine. I had also done a couple root touch ups at home with clairol. I am not from the area and I don't have a regular stylist here. She is highly educated and experienced and walked me through the processes my hair needed to get good color. She was thorough and gave me a time and cost quote as well. Super professional! The place honestly looks beautiful. I pass by it all the time, but I recommended a friend to call and when she did she told me that the vibe was off a little bit on whoever picked up the phone. No one was rude or anything like that. This is not a comment to get anyone in trouble but she hasn't been to a salon in quite some time. All she wanted to do was dye her hair black seeing as her hair is already black and all she wanted to do was touch the rooftop then said you know what let's just do the whole head. She had to wait for someone to respond to her pictures and when they finally did they said she would need a hair melt which living in New York. No one has ever done that to her hair or my hair. It was a very complicated phone call asking her. What formula did she use? And she's not used to this type of thing. She's just used to going into a salon telling her what she wants and they do it for her. But for this one she had a way to the employee her back from the boss. Then the boss said she needed a hair melt which would call somewhere between $275 to $300. We both are born and raised in New York City and believe me it's very expensive in New York but this is triple or quadruple the amount they would have charged us in New York. I get it everywhere is different but I felt like this was way too much for my friend. She doesn't even need a hair melt. So we tried a different place here in Florida and they only charged her $92 for a full hair color and to shampoo and condition and blow her hair all for $92 plus tip. It's a shame because she was really looking Forward to going to this place first but 275 to 300 felt like a jip. I understand everywhere is different but for $300 in New York we could have got a pedicure manicure or hair colored and still had change left over. Your store is beautiful but 275 to $300 just for my friend to sit in a chair for you to touch up her hair. A color that's already on her head is kind of too much. But again it's a wonderful place. I stopped covering my gray several years ago. I ended up with extremely white hair around my face but was very dark gray in the back. I've been extremely unhappy with the way it looked for a years. This was my second visit at Veronica's studio, well third if you count the consultation. My first visit was for a haircut and after A few months i went in for a consultation for a balayage, she went over everything during the 20 minute consult, price, process and what a realistic expectation was seeing as i want to be very blonde and have VERY dark hair. Finally my last visit was for the actual balayage, we started early and it was a long process but Veronica's work was phenomenal!!! Finding Veronica was a miracle! I live in New Jersey and would routinely go to NYC to get my hair colored. Because of Covid, I needed to find a place in New Jersey instead of heading to NYC. I've been in search for a blonde specialist in Palm Beach county for almost 3 years... I can honestly say the search is over!! Veronika is not only a talented Colorist but an awesome person who CARES about the condition of your hair. She even used different developers to make sure my hair was left in great condition. It's obviously tricky being blonde, extra care is needed to not damage the cuticle especially after years of color process.
