They don't use nitrous, only chloral hydrate (which made my son very "drugged", but did nothing to help calm him), and they expected my husband or me to physically restrain him. The last time we were there I was told that we would have to take him to a hospital in Boston to have him put under general anesthesia just so he could have a cavity filled. We were caught off guard, as traumatic, and were given a hasty explanation when it occurred. The follow-up communication was poor and at times argumentative. We switched providers for all our children after this experience and are still dealing with the aftermath. This was not the first negative experience with this practice. We should have switched earlier. Dr Morgan also told us on two occasions "that this has never happened in my career". On the dentist's side there is a great sectioned-off waiting area with plenty of toys to play and seating. We did not wait long to be seen. Although this place is very busy (I believe there were 7-8 children all being seen at the same time), there are many hygienists working, as well as the 2 dentists. We were also visited by a person in management (office admin?) who engaged my kids and I in conversation for a few minutes. Like the other reviewer said, there is an open area in the back with 4 chairs all next to each other, which I suppose is great for families with multiple children, but did seem vaguely awkward considering the lack of privacy. There are also several private rooms on the side as well. My son saw both Dr. Goli and Kristen and they were both very fun, engaging and attentive. For first time visits, your child gets a tooth brush, toothpaste, a goodie bag with info and prizes and a certificate with their picture on it. I would highly recommend this place for others with children!
