I would strongly advise against Emerson Dental in Westford! Dishonest and unprofessional and unbelievably greedy! They even brag about their greed. Try to cancel an appointment because of the death of a relative and they will ban you! They also badmouthed the wonderful dentist who used to work there, (Dr. Maya), to the point of meeting the legal definition of slander! I will be letting him know. I really feel sorry for the office staff who have to work with the "office manager!" I would strongly recommend staying away from this place! read more

12/10 experience. My 3 kids had become quite comfortable at their first (ever) Pediatric dentist so even when they dropped our insurance (for the second time) and I had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket we stayed with them. Now that they're a little older, I finally made the switch to Emerson Dental and they SURPASSED our expectations. Dr. Swee, the hygienists and all of the front desk staff were so easy going, kind and unbelievable with my kids. The appointments were so easy! And Dr. Swee has a ton of tricks up his sleeve that kept my kids so happy. My 8 year-old woke up the next morning asking if she could go back. The fact that they take our insurance and I paid nothing out of pocket was just icing on the cake. I wish I made the change sooner! Highly, highly recommend :) read more

Emerson dental can not be trusted, taking so many tests without your knowledge and charging for everything even on the first visit. All stupid questions are asked, such as about the job and other information to know the earnings indirectly. Remember, you will be charged for every word they spit during your visit. Such a great office! I haven't been here in a couple years, but feel compelled to write a review because Emerson Dental really stands out compared to my not so great experience at my new dentist. All of the staff are so sweet and get to know you personally. It makes coming here more enjoyable. They take their time and care with cleanings, mine lasted about 40 minutes. With my new dentist I'm in and out in 20 minutes (red flag!). Scheduling an appointment is easy and the front desk is super friendly. I am very sad my insurance switched and Emerson no longer accepts it. I'll probably never find an office as good as them again. read more

Simple dental cleaning ended up destroying my solid and healthy teeth. Intentionally this practice grind off the enamel and the dentil surfaces of my teeth by creating a large gaps between them and completely destroying the tooth surface. Not only my smile appearance has been changed, but do to large gaps my bite has shifted, and my teeth has become very sensitive and vulnerable to any decay and discoloration. The experience was horrifying not to mentioned that a professional practice intentionally would destroy my teeth and take time while doing it. Gregory Wu and Margaret Troiano Randall (goes by Pegi) both worked together while giggling and laughing to destroy my teeth. Never thought Id be giving a dental office a review but I felt I had too. I came 15mins early thinking id hace to fill out paperwork. They had all if it done for me. Just needed ny signature. As soon as I arrived tgey took my kids back. Upkeep: the couches are comfy, the decor is nice, there are toys for kids. They offer coffee (kurig choices) Staff: each one of them smiling and in good moods. So friendly, so welcoming, so inviting, so helpful. They were so fast and they hace tvs for you to watch while you get worked on. The screen is atleast 20inches I came here cause my kids pediatrician is downstairs. Glad I did. This Review is for Jerry Swee. My 2-year-old son fell down and fractured his front teeth and we visited Swee on 4/12/21. Dr. Swee convinced me that Surgery with Sedation is the option to go and he referred us to New England Oral surgery associates at Westford. Dr. Swee and Dr.Kang from NE oral surgery convinced us that teeth need to be extracted ASAP. We were supposed to have surgery on 4/14/21 with New England oral surgery. But my son got sick due to not eating anything with broken teeth and we tried to postpone surgery. NE oral surgery/Emerson Dental mentioned we need to take covid-19 test ASAP. We did, and the Covid test came negative. With Negative Covid test, I tried to book an appointment with NE oral surgery and Dr. Kang mentioned we are busy for next 2 weeks and they can't meet my kid until then and he assured my kid will be fine for 2 weeks. (Initially, Both Swee and Kang said the teeth need to be gone ASAP. But as soon as he got busy, Dr. Swee and Kang and assured he will be fine for 2 weeks) Can't bear my son's pain. We reached out "Westford friends" for help. One of them suggested Village pediatric dental in Acton, where they asked us to drive immediately and in the next 45 mins-1 hour, Dr.Linda extracted by applying numbing gel (which we are extremely grateful for). My Pediatrician, James Sheehy, mentioned that 100/100 times he would go with Non-sedation option and it surprised him why Dr. Swee wouldn't do what Village Pediatric dental did. read more

Before they even schedule a cleaning, they do a full evaluation to review every aspect of your gums, teeth and mouth. From there, they schedule whatever is needed. I have been going to this dentist office for almost 2 years. I have had 3 fillings done by Dr. Kwan and I can honestly say they are the best fillings I have had in my life. The dentist office is so polite and welcoming and in these days they are taking all the precautions to keep us safe. Alex did my cleanup today and she was really good too. Been going to Emerson Dental for a couple years now... Love the staff. Everyone has a great attitude and tries to make the day fun with patients and other staff. The work has been good from cleanings and cavity fillings. I just had my first root canal. The procedure was simple and quick. Honestly, the needle/novocaine was the worst part. The staff had a great sense of fun sarcasm to make you laugh at an otherwise not fun procedure. I highly recommend trying them out. It is def a more your environment (staff in 40s - 50's), but I think that's what I like. read more

My recent run-in with with kernal-peppered movie popcron had me thinking about my dentist. My relationship with Emerson Dental began five years ago when one of my wisdom teeth cracked in half as i was eating pretzels one day . You want to talk about pain? I dropped to the floor like i'd been shot in the face. I did not have dental insurance at the time and no one would see me on an emergrency basis. My attempts to convey the amount of pain i was feeling and the urgency of the care i needed fell on the muted, unsympathetic ears of drones that call themslelves receptionists. At this point i was thinking that it would have been easier to receive care had i actually been shot in the face. I decided to make one last call before i would take myself to the emergency room...Emerson Dental. Without a word of dispute i was booked for an early morning appointment the next day and given an extensive description of what to do in the interim to minimize my pain. The next morning...after several 10 minute intervals of sleep...i was given a prescription for my pain (btw percocet will be the name of my first-born child). Through their above and beyond efforts, I got a next day appointment with an oral surgeon to have the caveman tooth extracted. Since this experience i have had nothing but the best service and care. Their cool about cancelations, and i've made a few. The staff is always very freindly and i've never spent more than ten minutes each time in the waiting room. The equipment is all state-of-the-art. They have a completely computerized system, with individual pictures of all my teeth and a description of the care received to date. They create a complete plan, with detailed consultation, that is dictated by your needs. My preferred dentist, Dr. Maya, is an Army reservist and has done a tour in Iraq fixing our soliders teeth. I have comeplete trust in his experience and expertise and would recommend him highly to anyone considering a dentist. read more

Dr. Wu and his team are wonderful to work with. After moving and subsequently blowing the dentist off for a year, I was delighted to feel as welcomed into this office as I was. Everyone there is beyond kind and attentive. As much as I hate going to the dentist, it's less of a hassle going to Emerson. Another nice thing is they have a huge staff--so if you have one of those weird procedures that would require a referral you can get most everything taken care of under one roof, which is much nicer than the hassle of meeting with a new staff. Also, Just gonna throw out I debated flying back and forth to Boston every 6 months to keep Dr. Wu as my Dentist. My experience while I lived in Mass was phenomenal, even considering a root canal and bone grafting were involved (and take Dr. Wu's advise--DON'T Google the procedures!) If you are lucky enough to live in the vicinity of Emerson Dental and are in need of a dentist, I cannot be more esteemed to recommend this office! read more

Emerson Dental recently saw my husband for a last minute appointment. He had to wait a little longer then expected which was to be expected since he was being squeezed in. Once he was seen, they were great and took care of his issue. After his appointment they gave him a nice electric toothbrush and a Starbucks gift card to make up for the delay! After an embarrassingly long time putting off the dentist, I finally sucked it up and made an appointment. I didn't have any urgent issues, but really wanted to take care of issues before I had an urgent issue. The first appointment was a bit different than what I'm used to for a dentist...lot of x-rays and actual pictures of my teeth, which I didn't really feel was crazy necessary, but hey, it must provide them some value, and it's covered by my insurance. The reason for 5 stars is the staff. Everybody from the front desk, to the hygenist, to the dentist is fantastic. For someone who hates the dentist, it went really smoothly for such a long time without a cleaning, as did the follow up appointment for a couple fillings. I also have started bringing our daughter to the pediatric dentist that they have on the staff. It's great that when she outgrows that, she can continue going to the same office. read more

I was having a problem with a bridge not fitting right. It was a relatively new bridge done by another dentist. It seemed he could not get it to fit correctly without movement. I was totally frustrated and began my search for a new dentist. I wanted to find a prosthodonist. By researching on the internet I found Emerson Dental in Westford. I read the writeup about the practice and definitely like what I saw, especially Dr Maya's training. I made an appointment. It was as easy as could be. Dr Maya is the nicest person you would ever want to met. He is so kind and gentle. Dr Maya did a total work up of teeth. He explained everything to me, each step that would be need and what result we were trying to achieve. I never thought I wouldn't mind going to the dentist. Dr Maya does awesone work. Whatever lab he uses does excellent work. Currently I have six implants, three crowns and two bridges. Not only do they look great, my newly acquired dental work feels great. Dr Maya takes his time and makes sure everything fits proper. Oh yes, did I say he was very gentle. Emerson's Dental staff is great to work with. They are very nice and accomandating. They are just nice people. Dr Wu just took over the practice with Dr Maya working one week each month. Dr Wu is very nice and a very good general dentist. The periodontist, Dr Boustani is an excellent dentist too. I have been going to this practice for several years and would highly recommend to anyone. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. read more

It feels funny to rate a dental office 5 stars "Woohoo!", but I can say with certainty that Emerson Dental is one of a kind. The entire staff is friendly, patient and informative including their administrative staff. The office is clean and welcoming, they are extremely flexible in appointment-making, and frankly they do a really great job all-around. I've also never waited more than a minute longer than my scheduled appointment time in their waiting room, which is an impressive feat in its self. I hadn't been to the dentist in many years, and was understandably nervous during my first appointment. The hygienist, Pegi, took great care to ensure that I was comfortable and informed about every small step of my well-needed cleaning. She was warm, sincere and confident and created lots of pleasant distraction during my exceptionally long appointment (my fault, not theirs). Her work was spectacular. I have also seen Dr. Wu numerous times and Dr. Sarraf for one appointment. They were both extremely professional and showed exceptional expertise, patience and bedside manner. I have been seeing Penny & Dr. Wu at Emerson Dental for almost six years and they are fantastic! I moved to the Westford area and my lifelong dentist retired kind of simultaneously...I found the practice based on reviews online and am so glad I called! They've seen me through wisdom tooth extraction (didn't even know I had wisdom teeth until Dr Wu told me--for years was told I didn't!) and a root canal that cropped up suddenly (and very painfully in the middle of the night while at work!!). They are very professional and spent tons of time educating their patients to ensure they understand their treatment options. They even did a special cleaning for me right before my wedding! First of all, let me begin by saying I never really write reviews -- but after our experience with Dr. Wu and his staff, I felt it was the only right thing to do seeing as they have changed my outlook on dentists all together. After searching for a bit to find a dentist that would fit our needs, we came upon this dentistry gem. The care we received at this office is superior to any others we've ever been to. Dr Wu and his colleagues are very helpful, pleasant, extremely professional, and excellent in their field. I personally had a bad experience in the past with a different dentist which left me VERY fearful so I avoided any dental offices like the plague for 2 years. With that said, we can't rave enough about this office. Dr Wu and the entire staff have made us feel welcomed from our very first visit. We went into the office where we were greeted by his charming and friendly staff who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. When I was taken into the examining room, I explained to Dr Wu my fears of dentists in general so he patiently talked me through the entire process and made all of the necessary accommodations available to help me feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. My husband and I felt like valued patients and not just another set of numbers added to their list. If you are looking for a dentist where you can trust in their work and professionalism, then we would highly recommend this dental office to you, as we did to our friends and our family. Oh, I almost forgot to share that they recently moved into a new office in the same Emerson building. It's very bright and spacious. So i hadn't been to a dentist in quite some time. I figured i'd try out Emerson Dental. To my surprise the office didn't feel cold and overly steril as most places do. The waiting room was comfortable and inviting. A nice soft couch to sit on and your usual array of magazines to choose from. Not only is the staff friendly, they are knowledgeable and thorough as well They gave me a full check up, cleaning and x-rays. My family has been going to Emerson Dental for years. It's a beautiful facility with state of the art equipment with professional and kind staff. When I found out that Dr. Wu administer botox, I wanted to give it a try. Dr. wu walked me through the procedure and most importantly followed up to see how I was doing. He made me feel at ease. He and his staff really care about how a client looks and feels, while giving his best recommendation - and doesn't let you go overboard or be too aggressive for your treatment. I came to Emerson with a dental concern after having been sold a comprehensive exam I was told that I needed two implants and that the cost approx would be $6k but would have to be seen by the periodontist to come up with a plan but that they had financial help options. I waited 2+ weeks for the appt with the periodontist & he barely gave me 5 mins of his time. He said the 1st step was a 3-d xray at about $400 out of my pocket and that he could not do anything without that x-ray. I didnt have $400 right know he said ok goodbye & that was it. Now I have to start all over again finding a new dentist that will help. I did not have a good experience at Emerson, I am shocked at how rude & abrupt the appointment was & that there was no indication of any financial help at all as was told to me prior. read more

They were friendly and professional and did a wonderful job with my initial consult. The dentist was knowledgeable and friendly and careful to listen to all my concerns and fears after a long hiatus from going to the dentist. So glad I took my daughter's recommendation to try Emerson Dental. Having awful experiences with dentists in my childhood, I'm now anxious of having to go to a dentist. Emerson Dental does not make you feel bad for not going to a dentist for a while and understand my anxiety level and make sure that I'm doing ok at all times during my visits. Since I've walked through their door, they treat me like I'm part of their family. They go above and beyond to schedule appointments for me that best accommodate my work schedule. They are genuinely concerned about your oral health first and foremost and will sit down with you to go over everything thoroughly so you know what to expect for your treatment plan. I appreciate that they do not try to sell you on expensive products like Invsialign when you have other priorities for your teeth. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemies. When you first walk into the waiting room it seems really nice. There is a fake fire place and lots of magazines to read, but it all goes downhill from there. They make you wait forever, even when no one else is there. I had a great experience with Emerson Dental and Dr. Wu. I recently went to Dr. Wu for a new mouth guard because I grind my teeth in my sleep. The old one from a previous dentist had broken and I needed a new one. Dr. Wu's staff is incredibly professional and courteous. Dr. Wu made sure that the mold that the mouth guard would be made from fit my teeth perfectly - they paid much more attention to detail than I can remember from my old dentist. And when the mouth guard came, it did fit perfectly. It needed no adjustments. I can remember my old dentist grinding away at the mouth guard to make it fit in my mouth. The quality of the piece was also significantly higher than my previous mouth guard. The one Dr. Wu made is perfectly symmetrical and well-crafted: I'm an architect and notice these things. By the way, I really liked my old dentist's office and didn't know their deficiencies until meeting Dr. Wu and his staff. Kudos to Emerson! read more
