Getting my breast augmentation done by Dr. Ruhge was the best decision I could have made. I had my first consultation in 2018 but didn't go through with the procedure until 2021. Anyone who wants to get plastic surgery knows finding the right doctor is the most important part of the journey. Not only was he incredibly understanding and kind, he was patient and listened to my desired outcome. I tried on many different sizes and even came back when I wasn't sure of my decision. He was in the room with me, gauging my reactions and noticed I felt most confident in one of the smaller sizes I tried on. He made a point to let me know he could tell that was the size I felt most comfortable with rather than urging me to go larger. He answered all my questions and provided details about the potential risks and complications that could occur. Getting a BA is a straight forward procedure and only took about an hour. He checked on me once I woke up from the anesthetic, called me that night, and I had my first follow up appointment a few days later. He scheduled regular appointments with me during the healing process and to remind me aftercare. I decided on 335cc silicone implants under the muscle through an inframammary incision (under the breast) and went from a small B to a full D. The healing process was quick and now at 6 months post-op, my scars are mostly faded, they're soft, and move like they're my own. Hands down the best surgeon!! I have been looking for a good surgeon since my first kid was born. After two pregnancies I got dead skin and stretch marks. I wish there were more than 5 stars available on Yelp because if there was I would click on the maximum stars! Dr. Rughe has been my surgeon since 2012. In 2012 I had a breast augmentation. Dr. Rughe did an amazing job. I get asked (by women ) who my plastic surgeon is. They not only look and feel natural but I have zero scars. Trust me .. he is a miracle worker. Fast forward to 2018.. I decided to finally get a tummy tuck. I had been putting it off due to my fear of pain, etc. Dr. Rughe and Maria not only reassured me that I would have an easy recovery but also made me feel at ease about the entire procedure. OMG! I wished I would've done this sooner! Although the recovery was not fun (I only had to take the pain meds for the first 2 days, I was able to tolerate the pain with Tylenol) it was soooooo worth it! I finally have the body I had been missing. As a mom of 3 kids (all c-sections) I can honestly say that if you are on the fence of doing something for yourself (you deserve it ) please meet Dr Rughe. I would like to start by saying, Dr. Kevin Rughe is very nice and so is Maria his receptionist. I chose him for my procedure because he made me feel comfortable, and he has positive reviews. However, I'm not too happy with my results or experience. I wanted surgery for many years to improve breast asymmetry, one of my breast was a cup size larger than the other. I went into surgery understanding that they would not be perfectly symmetrical, but I was hoping for better results. I paid for an augmentation and a lift on one breast so it would be more symmetrical to the other. When I awoke from surgery I noticed one was still quite larger and lower than the other. (I would also like to note that the dr. Rughe did not call me the night after my surgery to check on me, he apologized and said he forgot my telephone number at his office). At my follow up appointment I expressed my concern that he did not put a large enough implant to achieve better symmetry in the smaller breast, he said they would get better with massages and when the swelling decreases. He put 30 ml more in one breast than the other, which is about two table spoons. The asymmetry improved slightly, but the breast that was lifted is still quite lower and larger than the other. Which has me feeling disappointed. When I first expressed me concern I was told he would waive is fees for a revision and we could likely get the implant fee waived by the implant company. When I followed up, I was then told he would only be able to waive his fees but I would have to pay for a larger implant and the surgery center. I was a little discouraged since I nearly paid 10k already. I was told that they would check with the implant company to see if they can work something out for me, but no one never followed up. I'm still self conscious because I still have the noticeable breast asymmetry issues. And now I have a scar where the lift was done. The incision was supposed to go around mu areloa, however he cut over my areola on the bottom part. Lastly, before surgery I asked if he would decrease the areola of the larger breast to match the smaller during the lift, he said yes, but he did not do so. I didn't expect perfect results, but I'm not too happy with the actual results. Before surgery he assured me that he's done many procedures like mine before, so I felt good about choosing him. read more

After breastfeeding two babies I didn't know that it was possible that they could suck all the fat out your breast. I felt deflated on top and over inflated around my mid section. I was referred to Dr Ruhge by another well known surgeon for breast augmentation and a mini tuck. I even did my due diligence and consulted with other surgeons; but I knew he was my guy. Just before surgery, I started to get nervous and he told me that he was going to take good care of me and sure enough he did. I am so grateful to him.
